⁴⁰ Let vs search and try our wayes, and turne againe to the Lord.

³⁰ When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come vpon thee, at the length if thou returne to the Lord thy God, and bee obedient vnto his voyce,

¹² And he saide vnto them, Ye are the chiefe fathers of the Leuites: sanctifie your selues, and your brethren, and bring vp the Arke of the Lord God of Israel vnto the place that I haue prepared for it. ¹³ For because ye were not there at the first, the Lord our God made a breach among vs: for we sought him not after due order.

⁶ So the postes went with letters by the commission of the King, and his princes, thorowout all Israel and Iudah, and with the commandement of the King, saying, Ye children of Israel, turne againe vnto the Lord God of Abraham, Izhak, and Israel, and he will returne to the remnant that are escaped of you, out of ye hands of the Kings of Asshur.

⁹ For if ye returne vnto the Lord, your brethren and your children shall finde mercy before them that led them captiues, and they shall returne vnto this lande: for the Lord your God is gracious and mercifull, and will not turne away his face from you, if ye conuert vnto him.

¹³ If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him: ¹⁴ If iniquitie be in thine hand, put it farre away, and let no wickednesse dwell in thy Tabernacle. ¹⁵ The truely shalt thou lift vp thy face without spot, and shalt be stable, and shalt not feare.

³¹ Surely it appertaineth vnto God to say, I haue pardoned, I will not destroy. ³² But if I see not, teach thou me: if I haue done wickedly, I will doe no more.

⁴ Tremble, and sinne not: examine your owne heart vpon your bed, and be still. Selah.

⁵⁹ I haue considered my waies, and turned my feete into thy testimonies.

²³ Try mee, O God, and knowe mine heart: prooue me and know my thoughtes, ²⁴ And consider if there be any way of wickednes in me, and leade me in the way for euer.

⁷ Let the wicked forsake his wayes, and the vnrighteous his owne imaginations, and returne vnto the Lord, and he wil haue mercy vpon him: and to our God, for hee is very ready to forgiue.

²⁸ Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that hee hath committed, he shall surely liue and shall not die.

¹ Come, and let vs returne to the Lord: for he hath spoyled, and he will heale vs: he hath wounded vs, and he will binde vs vp.

⁶ Therefore turne thou to thy God: keepe mercy and iudgement, and hope still in thy God.

¹ Samaria shalbe desolate: for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sworde: their infants shalbe dashed in pieces, and their women with childe shalbe ript. ² O Israel, returne vnto the Lord thy God: for thou hast fallen by thine iniquitie. ³ Take vnto you words, and turne to the Lord, and say vnto him, Take away all iniquitie, and receiue vs graciously: so wil we render the calues of our lippes.

¹² Therefore also now the Lord sayth, Turne you vnto me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning, ¹³ And rent your heart, and not your clothes: and turne vnto the Lord your God, for he is gratious, and mercifull, slowe to anger, and of great kindnes, and repenteth him of the euill.

⁵ Now therefore thus saith ye Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts. ⁶ Ye haue sowen much, and bring in litle: ye eate, but ye haue not ynough: ye drinke, but ye are not filled: ye clothe you, but ye be not warme: and he that earneth wages, putteth the wages into a broken bagge. ⁷ Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts. ⁸ Goe vp to the mountaine, and bring wood, and build this House, and I wil be fauourable in it, and I will be glorified, sayth the Lord. ⁹ Ye looked for much, and lo, it came to litle: and when ye brought it home, I did blowe vpon it. And why, sayth the Lord of hostes? Because of mine House that is waste, and ye runne euery man vnto his owne house.

³ Therefore say thou vnto them, Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Turne ye vnto me, saith the Lord of hostes, and I will turne vnto you, saith the Lord of hostes. ⁴ Be ye not as your fathers, vnto whome the former prophets haue cried, saying, Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Turne you nowe from your euill wayes, and from your wicked workes: but they would not heare, nor hearken vnto me, saith the Lord.

²⁰ But shewed first vnto them of Damascus, and at Hierusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Iudea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turne to God, and doe workes worthy amendment of life.

²⁸ Let euery man therefore examine himselfe, and so let him eate of this bread, and drinke of this cup.

³¹ For if we would iudge our selues, we should not be iudged.

⁵ Proue your selues whether ye are in the faith: examine your selues: knowe yee not your owne selues, howe that Iesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
