³³ God hath fulfilled it vnto vs their children, in that he raised vp Iesus, euen as it is written in the seconde Psalme, Thou art my Sonne: this day haue I begotten thee. ³⁴ Nowe as concerning that he raised him vp from the dead, no more to returne to corruption, he hath said thus, I wil giue you the holy things of Dauid, which are faithfull. ³⁵ Wherefore hee sayeth also in another place, Thou wilt not suffer thine Holy one to see corruption. ³⁶ Howbeit, Dauid after hee had serued his time by the counsell of God, hee slept, and was laid with his fathers, and sawe corruption. ³⁷ But he whom God raised vp, sawe no corruption.

²⁴ Who hauing receiued such commandement, cast them into the inner prison, and made their feete fast in the stockes. ²⁵ Nowe at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sung Psalmes vnto God: and the prisoners heard them.

¹ I Beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that yee giue vp your bodies a liuing sacrifice, holy, acceptable vnto God, which is your reasonable seruing of God.

⁹ Yea, we receiued the sentence of death in our selues, because we shoulde not trust in our selues, but in God, which rayseth the dead. ¹⁰ Who deliuered vs from so great a death, and doeth deliuer vs: in whom we trust, that yet hereafter he will deliuer vs,

⁷ Who in the dayes of his flesh did offer vp prayers and supplications, with strong crying and teares vnto him, that was able to saue him from death, and was also heard in that which he feared.

³ Consider therefore him that endured such speaking against of sinners, lest ye should be wearied and faint in your mindes.

¹⁵ Let vs therefore by him offer the sacrifice of prayse alwaies to God, that is, the fruite of the lippes, which confesse his Name.

¹³ Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merie? Let him sing.

¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Saluation commeth of our God, that sitteth vpon the throne, and of the Lambe.
