¹⁸ And the seruants and officers stoode there, which had made a fire of coles: for it was colde, and they warmed themselues. And Peter also stood among them, and warmed himselfe.

⁶ Into their secret let not my soule come: my glory, be not thou ioyned with their assembly: for in their wrath they slew a man, and in their selfe will they digged downe a wall.

⁹ And there he entred into a caue, and lodged there: and beholde, the Lord spake to him, and said vnto him, What doest thou here, Eliiah?

¹ Blessed is the man that doeth not walke in the counsell of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in ye seate of the scornefull:

⁴ I haue not hanted with vaine persons, neither kept companie with the dissemblers. ⁵ I haue hated the assemblie of the euill, and haue not companied with the wicked. ⁶ I will wash mine handes in innocencie, O Lord, and compasse thine altar, ⁷ That I may declare with the voyce of thankesgiuing, and set foorth all thy wonderous woorkes. ⁸ O Lord, I haue loued the habitation of thine house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth. ⁹ Gather not my soule with the sinners, nor my life with the bloodie men: ¹⁰ In whose handes is wickednes, and their right hand is full of bribes.

²⁰ He that walketh with the wise, shalbe wise: but a companion of fooles shalbe afflicted.

⁵⁴ And Peter folowed him afarre off, euen into the hall of the hie Priest, and sate with the seruants, and warmed himselfe at the fire.

⁶⁷ And when shee sawe Peter warming him selfe, shee looked on him, and sayde, Thou wast also with Iesus of Nazareth.

⁴⁴ But being in an agonie, hee prayed more earnestly: and his sweate was like drops of blood, trickling downe to the ground.

⁵⁵ And when they had kindled a fire in the middes of the hall, and were set downe together, Peter also sate downe among them. ⁵⁶ And a certaine mayde behelde him as hee sate by the fire, and hauing well looked on him, said, This man was also with him.

⁹ Assoone then as they were come to land, they sawe hoate coales, and fish laide thereon, and bread.

²³ Then assoone as they were let goe, they came to their fellowes, and shewed all that the hie Priestes and Elders had said vnto them.

³³ Be not deceiued: euill speakings corrupt good maners.

¹⁵ And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath the beleeuer with the infidell? ¹⁶ And what agreement hath the Temple of God with idols? for ye are the Temple of the liuing God: as God hath said, I will dwell among them, and walke there: and I will be their God, and they shalbe my people. ¹⁷ Wherefore come out from among them, and separate your selues, saith the Lord, and touch none vncleane thing, and I wil receiue you.

¹¹ And haue no fellowship with ye vnfruitfull works of darknes, but euen reproue them rather. ¹² For it is shame euen to speake of the things which are done of them in secret.
