⁵ Behold, the mighty God casteth away none that is mighty and valiant of courage.

¹⁴ Howe much lesse shall I answere him? or howe should I finde out my words with him?

¹⁹ If we speake of strength, behold, he is strog: if we speake of iudgement, who shall bring me in to pleade?

³ Thinkest thou it good to oppresse me, and to cast off the labour of thine handes, and to fauour the counsel of the wicked?

¹³ With him is wisedome and strength: he hath counsell and vnderstanding. ¹⁴ Beholde, he will breake downe, and it can not be built: he shutteth a man vp, and he can not be loosed. ¹⁵ Beholde, he withholdeth the waters, and they drie vp: but when he sendeth them out, they destroy the earth. ¹⁶ With him is strength and wisedome: hee that is deceiued, and that deceiueth, are his.

¹² The sea is calme by his power, and by his vnderstanding he smiteth the pride thereof. ¹³ His Spirite hath garnished the heauens, and his hand hath formed the crooked serpent. ¹⁴ Loe, these are part of his wayes: but how litle a portion heare we of him? and who can vnderstand his fearefull power?

¹³ If I did contemne the iudgement of my seruant, and of my mayde, when they did contend with me,

²³ It is the Almightie: we can not finde him out: he is excellent in power and iudgement, and aboundant in iustice: he afflicteth not.

²⁴ For he hath not despised nor abhorred ye affliction of the poore: neither hath he hid his face from him, but when he called vnto him, he heard.

⁴ And the Kings power, that loueth iudgement: for thou hast prepared equitie: thou hast executed iudgement and iustice in Iaakob.

⁶ For the Lord is high: yet he beholdeth the lowly, but the proude he knoweth afarre off.

⁵ Great is our Lord, and great is his power: his wisdome is infinite.

¹² He hath made the earth by his power, and established the worlde by his wisedome, and hath stretched out the heauen by his discretion.

¹⁹ Great in counsell, and mightie in worke, (for thine eyes are open vpon all the wayes of ye sonnes of men, to giue to euery one according to his wayes, and according to the fruite of his workes)

²⁴ But vnto them which are called, both of the Iewes and Grecians, we preach Christ, the power of God, and the wisedome of God. ²⁵ For the foolishnesse of God is wiser then men, and the weakenesse of God is stronger then men. ²⁶ For brethren, you see your calling, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called. ²⁷ But God hath chosen the foolish thinges of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weake thinges of the worlde, to confound the mightie things, ²⁸ And vile things of the worlde and thinges which are despised, hath God chosen, and thinges which are not, to bring to nought thinges that are,
