² O Israel, returne vnto the Lord thy God: for thou hast fallen by thine iniquitie.

¹³ Then Dauid sayde vnto Nathan, I haue sinned against the Lord. And Nathan sayde vnto Dauid, The Lord also hath put away thy sinne, thou shalt not die.

¹⁰ Then Dauids heart smote him, after that he had numbred the people: and Dauid said vnto the Lord, I haue sinned exceedingly in that I haue done: therefore nowe, Lord, I beseech thee, take away the trespasse of thy seruant: for I haue done very foolishly.

²¹ And why doest thou not pardon my trespasse? and take away mine iniquitie? for nowe shall I sleepe in the dust, and if thou seekest me in the morning, I shall not be found.

³¹ Surely it appertaineth vnto God to say, I haue pardoned, I will not destroy. ³² But if I see not, teach thou me: if I haue done wickedly, I will doe no more.

² Wash me throughly from mine iniquitie, and clense me from my sinne. ³ For I know mine iniquities, and my sinne is euer before me. ⁴ Against thee, against thee onely haue I sinned, and done euill in thy sight, that thou mayest be iust when thou speakest, and pure when thou iudgest. ⁵ Beholde, I was borne in iniquitie, and in sinne hath my mother conceiued me. ⁶ Beholde, thou louest trueth in the inwarde affections: therefore hast thou taught mee wisedome in the secret of mine heart. ⁷ Purge me with hyssope, and I shalbe cleane: wash me, and I shalbe whiter then snowe. ⁸ Make me to heare ioye and gladnes, that the bones, which thou hast broken, may reioyce. ⁹ Hide thy face from my sinnes, and put away all mine iniquities. ¹⁰ Create in mee a cleane heart, O God, and renue a right spirit within me.

³⁰ I will praise the Name of God with a song, and magnifie him with thankesgiuing. ³¹ This also shall please the Lord better then a yong bullocke, that hath hornes and hoofes.

⁷ And he touched my mouth, and sayd, Loe, this hath touched thy lips, and thine iniquitie shall be taken away, and thy sinne shalbe purged.

²⁵ Then wil I powre cleane water vpon you, and ye shalbe cleane: yea, from all your filthines, and from all your idoles wil I clense you. ²⁶ A newe heart also will I giue you, and a new spirit wil I put within you, and I will take away the stonie heart out of your body, and I will giue you an heart of flesh.

¹⁷ Let the Priestes, the ministers of the Lord weepe betweene the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and giue not thine heritage into reproche that the heathen should rule ouer them. Wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?

¹⁸ Who is a God like vnto thee, that taketh away iniquitie, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage! He reteineth not his wrath for euer, because mercie pleaseth him. ¹⁹ He will turne againe, and haue compassion vpon vs: he will subdue our iniquities, and cast all their sinnes into the bottome of the sea.

⁴ And he answered and spake vnto those that stoode before him, saying, Take away the filthie garments from him. And vnto him hee saide, Behold, I haue caused thine iniquitie to depart from thee, and I wil clothe thee with change of raiment.

⁹ After this maner therefore pray ye, Our father which art in heauen, halowed be thy name. ¹⁰ Thy Kingdome come. Thy will be done euen in earth, as it is in heauen. ¹¹ Giue vs this day our dayly bread. ¹² And forgiue vs our dettes, as we also forgiue our detters. ¹³ And leade vs not into tentation, but deliuer vs from euill: for thine is the kingdome, and the power, and the glorie for euer. Amen.

¹¹ If ye then, which are euill, can giue to your children good giftes, howe much more shall your Father which is in heauen, giue good thinges to them that aske him?

² And he said vnto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father, which art in heauen, halowed be thy Name: Thy kingdome come: Let thy will be done, euen in earth, as it is in heauen: ³ Our dayly bread giue vs for the day: ⁴ And forgiue vs our sinnes: for euen we forgiue euery man that is indetted to vs: And leade vs not into temptation: but deliuer vs from euill.

¹³ If yee then which are euill, can giue good giftes vnto your children, howe much more shall your heauenly Father giue the holy Ghost to them, that desire him?

²¹ And the sonne sayde vnto him, Father, I haue sinned against heauen, and before thee, and am no more worthie to be called thy sonne. ²² Then the father said to his seruaunts, Bring foorth the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feete, ²³ And bring the fat calfe, and kill him, and let vs eate, and be merie: ²⁴ For this my sonne was dead, and is aliue againe: and he was lost, but he is found. And they began to be merie.

¹³ But the Publican standing a farre off, woulde not lift vp so much as his eyes to heauen, but smote his brest, saying, O God, be mercifull to me a sinner.

²⁹ The next day Iohn, seeth Iesus comming vnto him, and saith, Beholde that Lambe of God, which taketh away the sinne of the world.

²⁷ And this is my couenant to them, When I shall take away their sinnes.

⁶ To the prayse of the glory of his grace, wherewith he hath made vs freely accepted in his beloued, ⁷ By whom we haue redemption through his blood, euen the forgiuenes of sinnes, according to his rich grace:

⁷ That he might shewe in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace, through his kindnesse toward vs in Christ Iesus. ⁸ For by grace are ye saued through faith, and that not of your selues: it is the gift of God,

⁹ Who hath saued vs, and called vs with an holy calling, not according to our workes, but according to his owne purpose and grace, which was giuen to vs through Christ Iesus before the world was,

¹⁴ Who gaue him selfe for vs, that hee might redeeme vs from all iniquitie, and purge vs to bee a peculiar people vnto himselfe, zealous of good woorkes.

⁴ For it is vnpossible that the blood of bulles and goates should take away sinnes.

¹⁵ Let vs therefore by him offer the sacrifice of prayse alwaies to God, that is, the fruite of the lippes, which confesse his Name.

⁵ Yee also as liuely stones, bee made a spirituall house, an holy Priesthoode to offer vp spirituall sacrifices acceptable to God by Iesus Christ.

⁹ But yee are a chosen generation, a royall Priesthoode, an holy nation, a people set at libertie, that yee shoulde shewe foorth the vertues of him that hath called you out of darkenesse into his marueilous light,

⁷ But if we walke in the light as he is in the light, we haue fellowship one with another, and the blood of Iesus Christ his Sonne clenseth vs from all sinne.

⁵ And ye knowe that hee was made manifest, that he might take away our sinnes, and in him is no sinne.
