³⁴ But the stranger that dwelleth with you, shalbe as one of your selues, and thou shalt loue him as thy selfe: for ye were strangers in the lad of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

⁶ Wherefore the Lord sent fierie serpents among ye people, which stung the people: so that many of the people of Israel died. ⁷ Therefore the people came to Moses and said, We haue sinned: for wee haue spoken against the Lord, and against thee: pray to the Lord, that he take away the serpents from vs: and Moses prayed for the people. ⁸ And the Lord said vnto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it vp for a signe, that as many as are bitten, may looke vpon it, and liue. ⁹ So Moses made a serpent of brasse, and set it vp for a signe: and when a serpent had bitten a man, then he looked to the serpent of brasse, and liued.

³¹ Moreouer ye shall take no recompense for the life of the murtherer, which is worthy to die: but he shalbe put to death. ³² Also ye shall take no recompense for him that is fled to the citie of his refuge, that he should come againe, and dwell in the lande, before the death of the hie Priest. ³³ So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye shall dwell: for blood defileth the land: and the land cannot be clensed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it. ³⁴ Defile not therefore the lande which yee shall inhabite, For I dwell in the middes thereof: for I the Lord dwel among the children of Israel.

⁴ Yet the Lord hath not giuen you an heart to perceiue, and eyes to see, and eares to heare, vnto this day.

⁶ Be strong and of a good courage: for vnto this people shalt thou deuide the lande for an inheritance, which I sware vnto their fathers to giue them. ⁷ Onely be thou strong, and of a most valiant courage, that thou mayest obserue and doe according to all the Lawe which Moses my seruant hath commanded thee: thou shalt not turne away from it to the right hande, nor to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoeuer thou goest.

⁹ Haue not I commanded thee, saying, Be strong and of a good courage, feare not, nor be discouraged? for I the Lord thy God will be with thee, whithersoeuer thou goest.

⁸ Hee is neere that iustifieth mee: who will contend with me? Let vs stande together: who is mine aduersarie? let him come neere to me.

³⁰ And Iesus answered, and saide, A certaine man went downe from Hierusalem to Iericho, and fell among theeues, and they robbed him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leauing him halfe dead. ³¹ Nowe so it fell out, that there came downe a certaine Priest that same way, and when he sawe him, he passed by on the other side. ³² And likewise also a Leuite, when he was come neere to the place, went and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. ³³ Then a certaine Samaritane, as he iourneyed, came neere vnto him, and when he sawe him, he had compassion on him, ³⁴ And went to him, and bound vp his wounds, and powred in oyle and wine, and put him on his owne beast, and brought him to an Inne, and made prouision for him. ³⁵ And on the morowe when he departed, he tooke out two pence, and gaue them to the hoste, and said vnto him, Take care of him, and whatsoeuer thou spendest more, when I come againe, I will recompense thee. ³⁶ Which nowe of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour vnto him that fell among the theeues? ³⁷ And he saide, He that shewed mercie on him. Then said Iesus vnto him, Goe, and do thou likewise.

⁵¹ Thinke ye that I am come to giue peace on earth? I tell you, nay, but rather debate.

²⁵ Then he sayd vnto them, O fooles and slowe of heart to beleeue all that the Prophets haue spoken! ²⁶ Ought not Christ to haue suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? ²⁷ And he began at Moses, and at all the Prophets, and interpreted vnto them in all the Scriptures the things which were written of him.

⁴⁴ And he saide vnto them, These are the wordes, which I spake vnto you while I was yet with you, that all must be fulfilled which are written of me in the Lawe of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalmes. ⁴⁵ Then opened he their vnderstanding, that they might vnderstand the Scriptures,

Searche and looke: for out of Galile ariseth no Prophet. ⁵³ And euery man wet vnto his owne house.

² And the Barbarians shewed vs no litle kindnesse: for they kindled a fire, and receiued vs euery one, because of the present showre, and because of the colde.

³ For what, though some did not beleeue? shall their vnbeliefe make the faith of God without effect?

²⁹ God, is he the God of the Iewes onely, and not of the Gentiles also? Yes, euen of the Gentiles also. ³⁰ For it is one God, who shall iustifie circumcision of faith, and vncircumcision through faith.

²³ They are the ministers of Christ (I speake as a foole) I am more: in labours more aboundant: in stripes aboue measure: in prison more plenteously: in death oft.

¹⁶ Hauing a good coscience, that whe they speake euill of you as of euill doers, they may be ashamed, which slander your good conuersation in Christ.

¹⁴ If yee be railed vpon for the Name of Christ, blessed are ye: for the spirit of glory, and of God resteth vpon you: which on their part is euill spoken of: but on your part is glorified. ¹⁵ But let none of you suffer as a murtherer, or as a thiefe, or an euil doer, or as a busibodie in other mens matters. ¹⁶ But if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not bee ashamed: but let him glorifie God in this behalfe.

²¹ For the prophecie came not in olde time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moued by the holy Ghost.

³ And there came out of the smoke Locustes vpon the earth, and vnto them was giuen power, as the scorpions of the earth haue power. ⁴ And it was comanded them, that they should not hurt the grasse of the earth, neither any greene thing, neither any tree: but onely those men which haue not the seale of God in their foreheads.

⁹ Here is the mind that hath wisdome. The seuen heads, are seuen mountaines, whereon the woman sitteth: they are also seuen Kings.
