² And the King and his princes and all the Congregation had taken counsel in Ierusalem to keepe the Passeouer in the second moneth.

¹⁰ Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say, If any amog you, or of your posteritie shalbe vncleane by ye reason of a corps, or be in a log iourney, he shall keepe the Passeouer vnto ye Lord. ¹¹ In the fourtenth day of the second moneth at euen they shall keepe it: with vnleauened bread and sowre herbes shall they eate it.

¹ And Dauid counselled with the captaines of thousandes and of hundreths, and with all the gouernours. ² And Dauid said to all the Congregation of Israel, If it seeme good to you, and that it proceedeth of the Lord our God, we will sende to and from vnto our brethren, that are left in all the lande of Israel (for with them are the Priests and the Leuites in the cities and their suburbes) that they may assemble them selues vnto vs. ³ And we will bring againe the Arke of our God to vs: for we sought not vnto it in the dayes of Saul.

¹³ And there assembled to Ierusalem much people, to keepe the feast of ye vnleauened bread in the second moneth, a very great assemblie.

¹⁵ Afterwarde they slewe the Passeouer the fourteenth day of the seconde moneth: and the Priestes and Leuites were ashamed, and sanctified themselues, and brought the burnt offrings into the house of the Lord.

¹⁴ Where no counsell is, the people fall: but where many counsellers are, there is health.

²² Without cousel thoughts come to nought: but in the multitude of counsellers there is stedfastnesse.

¹³ Better is a poore and wise childe, then an olde and foolish King, which will no more be admonished.
