³ And the Lord was with Iehoshaphat, because he walked in the first wayes of his father Dauid, and sought not Baalim,

² And the Lord was with Ioseph, and he was a man that prospered and was in the house of his master the Egyptian. ³ And his master sawe that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that hee did to prosper in his hande.

²¹ But the Lord was with Ioseph, and shewed him mercie, and got him fauour in the sight of the master of the prison.

¹² And he answered, Certainely I will be with thee: and this shall be a token vnto thee, that I haue sent thee, After that thou hast brought the people out of Egypt, ye shall serue God vpon this Mountaine.

¹² Therefore goe nowe, and I will be with thy mouth, and will teach thee what thou shalt say.

⁵ There shall not a man be able to withstande thee all the dayes of thy life: as I was with Moses, so will I be with thee: I will not leaue thee, nor forsake thee.

⁹ Haue not I commanded thee, saying, Be strong and of a good courage, feare not, nor be discouraged? for I the Lord thy God will be with thee, whithersoeuer thou goest.

¹¹ Then the children of Israel did wickedly in the sight of the Lord, and serued Baalim,

¹⁸ And when the Lord had raysed them vp Iudges, the Lord was with the Iudge, and deliuered them out of the hande of their enemies all the dayes of the Iudge (for the Lord had compassion on their gronings, because of them that oppressed them and tormented them)

¹² Then the Angel of the Lord appeared vnto him, and said vnto him, The Lord is with thee, thou valiant man.

³³ But when Gideon was dead, the children of Israel turned away and went a whoring after Baalim, and made Baal-berith their God.

¹⁰ And Dauid prospered and grewe: for the Lord God of hostes was with him.

¹⁵ Thus Dauid reigned ouer all Israel, and executed iudgement and iustice vnto all his people.

⁶ So Salomon wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lord, but continued not to follow the Lord, as did Dauid his father.

³ And hee walked in all the sinnes of his father, which hee had done before him: and his heart was not perfit with the Lord his God as the heart of Dauid his father. ⁴ But for Dauids sake did the Lord his God giue him a light in Ierusalem, and set vp his sonne after him, and established Ierusalem,

³ And he did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, yet not like Dauid his father, but did according to all that Ioash his father had done.

² Twentie yeere olde was Ahaz, when hee began to reigne, and he reigned sixteene yeere in Ierusalem, and did not vprightly in the sight of the Lord his God, like Dauid his father:

³ And he did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Dauid his father had done.

² And hee did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, and walked in all the wayes of Dauid his father, and bowed neither to the right hand, nor to the left.

¹⁸ Is not the Lord your God with you, and hath giuen you rest on euerie side? for hee hath giuen the inhabitants of the land into mine hand, and the land is subdued before the Lord and before his people.

² And Asa did that was good and right in the eyes of the Lord his God. ³ For he tooke away the altars of the strange gods and the hie places, and brake downe the images, and cut downe the groues, ⁴ And commanded Iudah to seeke the Lord God of their fathers, and to doe according to the Lawe and the comandement. ⁵ And he tooke away out of all the cities of Iudah the hie places, and the images: therefore the kingdome was quiet before him.

¹¹ And Asa cryed vnto the Lord his God, and saide, Lord, it is nothing with thee to helpe with many, or with no power: helpe vs, O Lord our God: for we rest on thee, and in thy Name are we come against this multitude: O Lord, thou art our God, let not man preuaile against thee.

² And he went out to meete Asa, and said vnto him, O Asa, and all Iudah, and Beniamin, heare ye me. The Lord is with you, while ye be with him: and if ye seeke him, he wil be founde of you, but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

⁸ And when Asa heard these wordes, and the prophesie of Obed the Prophet, he was encouraged, and tooke away the abominations out of all the lande of Iudah, and Beniamin, and out of the cities which he had taken of mount Ephraim, and he renued the altar of the Lord, that was before the porche of the Lord. ⁹ And he gathered all Iudah and Beniamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for there fell many to him out of Israel, when they sawe that the Lord his God was with him. ¹⁰ So they assembled to Ierusalem in the third moneth, in the fifteenth yere of the reigne of Asa. ¹¹ And they offred vnto the Lord the same time of the spoyle, which they had brought, euen seuen hundreth bullockes, and seuen thousande sheepe. ¹² And they made a couenant to seeke the Lord God of their fathers, with all their heart, and with all their soule. ¹³ And whosoeuer will not seeke the Lord God of Israel, shalbe slaine, whether he were small or great, man or woman.

¹ A song of degrees. Lord, remember Dauid with all his affliction. ² Who sware vnto the Lord, and vowed vnto the mightie God of Iaakob, saying, ³ I will not enter into the tabernacle of mine house, nor come vpon my pallet or bed, ⁴ Nor suffer mine eyes to sleepe, nor mine eye lids to slumber, ⁵ Vntill I finde out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the mightie God of Iaakob.

¹⁰ Take counsell together, yet it shall be brought to nought: pronounce a decree, yet shall it not stand: for God is with vs.

¹⁰ Feare thou not, for I am with thee: be not afraide, for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee, and helpe thee, and will susteine thee with the right hand of my iustice.

²³ Howe canst thou say, I am not polluted, neither haue I followed Baalim? beholde thy waies in the valley, and know, what thou hast done: thou art like a swift dromedarie, that runneth by his waies.

²³ Behold, a virgine shalbe with childe, and shall beare a sonne, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is by interpretation, God with vs.

²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together in my Name, there am I in the mids of them.

²⁰ Teaching them to obserue all things, whatsoeuer I haue commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, vntill the ende of the worlde, Amen.

²² The Lord Iesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you, Amen.
