²³ These also are [sayings] of the wise. To have respect of persons in judgment is not good.

¹⁵ Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

¹⁷ Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; ye shall hear the small and the great alike; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s: and the cause that is too hard for you ye shall bring unto me, and I will hear it.

¹⁹ Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons: neither shalt thou take a gift; for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

⁷ Now therefore let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.

² How long will ye judge unjustly, and respect the persons of the wicked? Selah ³ Judge the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and destitute. ⁴ Rescue the poor and needy: deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.

⁴³ Whoso is wise shall give heed to these things, and they shall consider the mercies of the LORD.

⁶ To understand a proverb, and a figure; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

⁵ To accept the person of the wicked is not good, [nor] to turn aside the righteous in judgment.

¹⁷ Incline thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.

²¹ To have respect of persons is not good: neither that a man should transgress for a piece of bread.

¹ Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? A man’s wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the hardness of his face is changed. ² I [counsel thee], Keep the king’s command, and that in regard of the oath of God. ³ Be not hasty to go out of his presence; persist not in an evil thing: for he doeth whatsoever pleaseth him. ⁴ Because the king’s word [hath] power; and who may say unto him, What doest thou? ⁵ Whoso keepeth the commandment shall know no evil thing; and a wise man’s heart discerneth time and judgment:

⁹ Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them; but transgressors shall fall therein.

²⁴ Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

²⁰ Them that sin reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear. ²¹ I charge [thee] in the sight of God, and Christ Jesus, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.

⁴ are ye not divided in your own mind, and become judges with evil thoughts? ⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren; did not God choose them that are poor as to the world [to be] rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to them that love him? ⁶ But ye have dishonoured the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you, and themselves drag you before the judgment-seats?

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.

¹⁷ And if ye call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to each man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear:
