²³ A man hath joy in the answer of his mouth: and a word in due season, how good is it!

³² And David said to Abigail, Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, which sent thee this day to meet me: ³³ and blessed be thy wisdom, and blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from bloodguiltiness, and from avenging myself with mine own hand.

¹⁴ A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the doings of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.

¹³ Righteous lips are the delight or kings; and they love him that speaketh right.

²⁶ He kisseth the lips that giveth a right answer.

¹¹ A word fitly spoken is [like] apples of gold in baskets of silver. ¹² [As] an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, [so is] a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.

¹ To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

⁴ The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of them that are taught, that I should know how to sustain with words him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as they that are taught.

²⁹ Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for edifying as the need may be, that it may give grace to them that hear.
