⁶ Whereupon were the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

¹⁸ And thou shalt make the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards for the south side southward. ¹⁹ And thou shalt make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for its two tenons, and two sockets under another board for its two tenons: ²⁰ and for the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, twenty boards: ²¹ and their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board. ²² And for the hinder part of the tabernacle westward thou shalt make six boards. ²³ And two boards shalt thou make for the corners of the tabernacle in the hinder part. ²⁴ And they shall be double beneath, and in like manner they shall be entire unto the top thereof unto one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners. ²⁵ And there shall be eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.

⁸ He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, he lifteth up the needy from the dunghill, to make them sit with princes, and inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, and he hath set the world upon them.

⁷ He stretcheth out the north over empty space, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

² For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

¹ The LORD reigneth; he is apparelled with majesty; the LORD is apparelled, he hath girded himself with strength: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

⁵ Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved for ever.

²² The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner.

¹² When our sons shall be as plants grown up in their youth; and our daughters as corner stones hewn after the fashion of a palace;

¹⁶ therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner [stone] of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

²⁰ being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner stone; ²¹ in whom each several building, fitly framed together, groweth into a holy temple in the Lord;

⁵ For this they wilfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth compacted out of water and amidst water, by the word of God;
