²² Out of the north cometh golden splendour: God hath upon him terrible majesty.

¹¹ Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth [is thine]; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

¹⁰ Deck thyself now with excellency and dignity; and array thyself with honour and majesty.

⁴ The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.

⁵ Come, and see the works of God; [he is] terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

⁷ O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah ⁸ The earth trembled, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: [even] yon Sinai [trembled] at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

¹² He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

¹ The LORD reigneth; he is apparelled with majesty; the LORD is apparelled, he hath girded himself with strength: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

¹ Bless the LORD O my soul, O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

⁵ Of the glorious majesty of thine honour, and of thy wondrous works, will I meditate.

²³ The north wind bringeth forth rain: so doth a backbiting tongue an angry countenance.

¹⁰ Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of his majesty.

¹⁹ And men shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake mightily the earth.

⁴ And he shall stand, and shall feed [his flock] in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God: and they shall abide; for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

³ The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means clear [the guilty]: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

³ God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise. ⁴ And [his] brightness was as the light; he had rays [coming forth] from his hand: and there was the hiding of his power. ⁵ Before him went the pestilence, and fiery bolts went forth at his feet. ⁶ He stood, and measured the earth; he beheld, and drove asunder the nations: and the eternal mountains were scattered, the everlasting hills did bow; his goings were [as] of old. ⁷ I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble. ⁸ Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers, or thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses, upon thy chariots of salvation? ⁹ Thy bow was made quite bare; the oaths to the tribes were a [sure] word. Selah Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers. ¹⁰ The mountains saw thee, and were afraid; the tempest of waters passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high. ¹¹ The sun and moon stood still in their habitation; at the light of thine arrows as they went, at the shining of thy glittering spear. ¹² Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the nations in anger. ¹³ Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, for the salvation of thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, laying bare the foundation even unto the neck. Selah ¹⁴ Thou didst pierce with his own staves the head of his warriors: they came as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly. ¹⁵ Thou didst tread the sea with thine horses, the heap of mighty waters. ¹⁶ I heard, and my belly trembled, my lips quivered at the voice; rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in my place: that I should rest in the day of trouble, when it cometh up against the people which invadeth him in troops. ¹⁷ For though the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: ¹⁸ Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. ¹⁹ Jehovah, the Lord, is my strength, and he maketh my feet like hinds’ [feet], and will make me to walk upon mine high places. ³ who being the effulgence of his glory, and the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

²⁹ for our God is a consuming fire.

²⁵ to the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, [be] glory, majesty, dominion and power, before all time, and now, and for evermore. Amen.
