¹ Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, ² Dominion and fear are with him; he maketh peace in his high places. ³ Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise? ⁴ How then can man be just with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? ⁵ Behold, even the moon hath no brightness, and the stars are not pure in his sight: ⁶ How much less man, that is a worm! and the son of man, which is a worm!

¹¹ Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth [is thine]; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. ¹² Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou rulest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

² Of a truth I know that it is so: but how can man be just with God? ³ If he be pleased to contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand. ⁴ [He is] wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and prospered? ⁵ Which removeth the mountains, and they know it not, when he overturneth them in his anger. ⁶ Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble. ⁷ Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars. ⁸ Which alone stretcheth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. ⁹ Which maketh the Bear, Orion, and the Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. ¹⁰ Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, marvelous things without number.

⁵ They that are deceased tremble beneath the waters and the inhabitants thereof. ⁶ Sheol is naked before him, and Abaddon hath no covering. ⁷ He stretcheth out the north over empty space, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. ⁸ He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them. ⁹ He closeth in the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it. ¹⁰ He hath described a boundary upon the face of the waters, unto the confines of light and darkness. ¹¹ The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke. ¹² He stirreth up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through Rahab. ¹³ By his spirit the heavens are garnished; his hand hath pierced the swift serpent. ¹⁴ Lo, these are but the outskirts of his ways: and how small a whisper do we hear of him! but the thunder of his power who can understand?

⁹ Or hast thou an arm like God? and canst thou thunder with a voice like him? ¹⁰ Deck thyself now with excellency and dignity; and array thyself with honour and majesty. ¹¹ Pour forth the overflowings of thine anger: and look upon every one that is proud, and abase him. ¹² Look on every one that is proud, [and] bring him low; and tread down the wicked where they stand. ¹³ Hide them in the dust together; bind their faces in the hidden [place]. ¹⁴ Then wilt I also confess of thee that thine own right hand can save thee.

¹ The LORD reigneth; let the peoples tremble: he sitteth upon the cherubim; let the earth be moved. ² The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the peoples. ³ Let them praise thy great and terrible name: holy is he.

¹⁵ For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

¹⁹ I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace, to him that is far off and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.

⁶ There is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. ⁷ Who would not fear thee, O King of the nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their royal estate, there is none like unto thee.

³⁴ And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the Most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever; for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom from generation to generation: ³⁵ And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? ³⁶ At the same time mine understanding returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent greatness was added unto me. ³⁷ Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven; for all his works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

⁹ Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God.

¹³ And bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil [one].

¹⁸ And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.

¹⁸ But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation; ¹⁹ to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation. ²⁰ We are ambassadors therefore on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beseech [you] on behalf of Christ, be ye reconciled to God. ²¹ Him who knew no sin he made [to be] sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

²⁰ which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly [places], ²¹ far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

¹⁶ and might reconcile them both in one body unto God through the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: ¹⁷ and he came and preached peace to you that were far off, and peace to them that were nigh:

²⁰ and through him to reconcile all things unto himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, [I say], whether things upon the earth, or things in the heavens.

²⁵ to the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, [be] glory, majesty, dominion and power, before all time, and now, and for evermore. Amen.

¹⁶ and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

³ And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. ⁴ And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. ⁵ And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years: ¹⁵ and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. ¹⁶ And God made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: [he made] the stars also.

¹² Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days [began, and] caused the dayspring to know its place; ¹³ That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it?

⁴ Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, ⁵ Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run his course. ⁶ His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

²⁰ Bless the LORD, ye angels of his: ye mighty in strength, that fulfill his word, hearkening unto the voice of his word. ²¹ Bless the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

² Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his host. ³ Praise ye him, sun and moon; praise him, all ye stars of light. ⁴ Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.

²⁶ Lift up your eyes on high, and see who hath created these, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by name; by the greatness of his might, and for that he is strong in power, not one is lacking.

¹⁰ A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

⁴⁵ that ye may be sons of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust.

⁵³ Or thinkest thou that I cannot beseech my Father, and he shall even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?

⁴ In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

⁹ There was the true light, [even the light] which lighteth every man, coming into the world.

¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect boon is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning.

¹¹ And I saw, and I heard a voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

¹⁷ Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his Maker? ¹⁸ Behold, he putteth no trust in his servants; and his angels he chargeth with folly: ¹⁹ How much more them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth!

² Of a truth I know that it is so: but how can man be just with God?

³ And dost thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee? ⁴ Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.

¹⁴ What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous? ¹⁵ Behold, he putteth no trust in his holy ones; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight. ¹⁶ How much less one that is abominable and corrupt, a man that drinketh iniquity like water!

⁵ Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

³ If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

² And enter not into judgment with thy servant; for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.

¹ In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.

¹⁹ Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it speaketh to them that are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God: ²⁰ because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for through the law [cometh] the knowledge of sin.

¹ Being therefore justified by faith, let us have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

¹¹ And such were some of you: but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.

³ among whom we also all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:—

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loveth us, and loosed us from our sins by his blood;

¹⁵ Behold, he putteth no trust in his holy ones; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

²⁶ If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;

²³ Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed; for the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

¹⁹ The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. ²⁰ Thy sun shall no more go down, neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

¹⁰ For verily that which hath been made glorious hath not been made glorious in this respect, by reason of the glory that surpasseth.

²⁷ And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:

¹⁹ How much more them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth!

¹⁷ What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him, and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him,

⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

¹⁴ Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.
