¹ Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother, ² To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ [which are] at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father. ³ We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, ⁴ having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have toward all the saints, ⁵ because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, ⁶ which is come unto you; even as it is also in all the world bearing fruit and increasing, as [it doth] in you also, since the day ye heard and knew the grace of God in truth; ⁷ even as ye learned of Epaphras our beloved fellow-servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf, ⁸ who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit. ⁹ For this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not cease to pray and make request for you, that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, ¹⁰ to walk worthily of the Lord unto all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; ¹¹ strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, unto all patience and longsuffering with joy; ¹² giving thanks unto the Father, who made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light; ¹³ who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love; ¹⁴ in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins: ¹⁵ who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; ¹⁶ for in him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him; ¹⁷ and he is before all things, and in him all things consist. ¹⁸ And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. ¹⁹ For it was the good pleasure [of the Father] that in him should all the fulness dwell; ²⁰ and through him to reconcile all things unto himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, [I say], whether things upon the earth, or things in the heavens. ²¹ And you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works, yet now hath he reconciled ²² in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreproveable before him: ²³ if so be that ye continue in the faith, grounded and stedfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel which ye heard, which was preached in all creation under heaven; whereof I Paul was made a minister. ²⁴ Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church; ²⁵ whereof I was made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which was given me to you-ward, to fulfill the word of God, ²⁶ [even] the mystery which hath been hid from all ages and generations: but now hath it been manifested to his saints, ²⁷ to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: ²⁸ whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ; ²⁹ whereunto I labour also, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

² and sent Timothy, our brother and God’s minister in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort [you] concerning your faith;

¹ Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon our beloved and fellow-worker,

³ As for the saints that are in the earth, they are the excellent in whom is all my delight.

⁷ To all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called [to be] saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

² unto the church of God which is at Corinth, [even] them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called [to be] saints, with all that call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, their [Lord] and ours:

¹⁷ For this cause have I sent unto you Timothy, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, who shall put you in remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, even as I teach everywhere in every church.

³ Grace to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,

⁹ So then they which be of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.

²¹ But that ye also may know my affairs, how I do, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

² according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

² Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord;

² Mercy unto you and peace and love be multiplied.

⁴ John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from him which is and which was and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world. ⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you, always in my prayers

⁴ I thank my God always concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus;

¹⁵ For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and which [ye shew] toward all the saints,

¹⁴ For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father, ¹⁵ from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, ¹⁶ that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that ye may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man; ¹⁷ that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, ¹⁸ may be strong to apprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, ¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fulness of God.

³ I thank my God upon all my remembrance of you, ⁴ always in every supplication of mine on behalf of you all making my supplication with joy, ⁵ for your fellowship in furtherance of the gospel from the first day until now;

⁹ And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment; ¹⁰ so that ye may approve the things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and void of offence unto the day of Christ; ¹¹ being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

⁶ In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

⁹ For this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not cease to pray and make request for you, that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

¹³ who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;

² We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention [of you] in our prayers;

¹⁰ night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face, and may perfect that which is lacking in your faith? ¹¹ Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way unto you: ¹² and the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we also [do] toward you; ¹³ to the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.

¹⁶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father which loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, ¹⁷ comfort your hearts and stablish them in every good work and word.

³ I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers in a pure conscience, how unceasing is my remembrance of thee in my supplications, night and day

⁷ and not by his coming only, but also by the comfort wherewith he was comforted in you, while he told us your longing, your mourning, your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced yet more.

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith working through love.

³ remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labour of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father;

⁶ But when Timothy came even now unto us from you, and brought us glad tidings of your faith and love, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, even as we also [to see] you;

⁹ But concerning love of the brethren ye have no need that one write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another; ¹⁰ for indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brethren, that ye abound more and more;

³ We are bound to give thanks to God alway for you, brethren, even as it is meet, for that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all toward one another aboundeth;

⁵ hearing of thy love, and of the faith which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints;

¹⁰ for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the love which ye shewed toward his name, in that ye ministered unto the saints, and still do minister.

²¹ who through him are believers in God, which raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God. ²² Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another from the heart fervently: ²³ having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth.

¹⁴ We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not abideth in death.

²³ And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as he gave us commandment.

¹⁶ And we know and have believed the love which God hath in us. God is love; and he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God abideth in him.

³ For I rejoiced greatly, when brethren came and bare witness unto thy truth, even as thou walkest in truth. ⁴ Greater joy have I none than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.

¹⁹ Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee, which thou hast wrought for them that put their trust in thee, before the sons of men!

¹⁹ Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust doth consume, and where thieves break through and steal: ²⁰ but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

³³ Sell that ye have, and give alms; make for yourselves purses which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief draweth near, neither moth destroyeth.

³⁶ The word which he sent unto the children of Israel, preaching good tidings of peace by Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all)—

²⁶ Brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and those among you that fear God, to us is the word of this salvation sent forth.

⁶ But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees: touching the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.

¹⁵ having hope toward God, which these also themselves look for, that there shall be a resurrection both of the just and unjust.

⁶ And now I stand [here] to be judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers; ⁷ unto which [promise] our twelve tribes, earnestly serving [God] night and day, hope to attain. And concerning this hope I am accused by the Jews, O king!

⁸ But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach:

¹³ But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

¹⁹ If in this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all men most pitiable.

¹⁹ to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

⁷ in the word of truth, in the power of God; by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

⁵ For we through the Spirit by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.

¹³ in whom ye also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation,—in whom, having also believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

¹⁸ having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, ¹⁹ and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might

²³ if so be that ye continue in the faith, grounded and stedfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel which ye heard, which was preached in all creation under heaven; whereof I Paul was made a minister.

²⁷ to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another with psalms [and] hymns [and] spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts unto God.

¹³ And for this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when ye received from us the word of the message, [even the word] of God, ye accepted [it] not [as] the word of men, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also worketh in you that believe.

¹⁶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father which loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,

¹⁵ Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief:

⁸ henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day: and not only to me, but also to all them that have loved his appearing.

² in hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before times eternal;

¹⁹ (for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in thereupon of a better hope, through which we draw nigh unto God.

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

² as newborn babes, long for the spiritual milk which is without guile, that ye may grow thereby unto salvation;

¹⁵ but sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: [being] ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear:

³ And every one that hath this hope [set] on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

³ He hath remembered his mercy and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

³ Thy people offer themselves willingly in the day of thy power: in the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, thou hast the dew of thy youth.

¹⁴ And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.

¹⁹ Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost:

⁸ And others fell into the good ground, and yielded fruit, growing up and increasing; and brought forth, thirtyfold, and sixtyfold, and a hundredfold.

²⁶ And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed upon the earth; ²⁷ and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, he knoweth not how. ²⁸ The earth beareth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear. ²⁹ But when the fruit is ripe, straightway he putteth forth the sickle, because the harvest is come.

¹⁵ And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.

²³ But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth: for such doth the Father seek to be his worshippers.

¹⁶ Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and [that] your fruit should abide: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

¹⁸ And when they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then to the Gentiles also hath God granted repentance unto life.

²⁴ But the word of God grew and multiplied.

¹⁴ And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, one that worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, to give heed unto the things which were spoken by Paul.

¹⁸ to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me.

¹³ And I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you (and was hindered hitherto), that I might have some fruit in you also, even as in the rest of the Gentiles.

¹⁷ So belief [cometh] of hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. ¹⁸ But I say, Did they not hear? Yea, verily, Their sound went out into all the earth, And their words unto the ends of the world.

¹⁹ in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Ghost; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ;

²⁸ When therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by you unto Spain.

²⁶ but now is manifested, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, is made known unto all the nations unto obedience of faith;

¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. ¹¹ Whether then [it be] I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

¹ And working together [with him] we entreat also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain

¹⁴ For we stretch not ourselves overmuch, as though we reached not unto you: for we came even as far as unto you in the gospel of Christ:

² if so be that ye have heard of the dispensation of that grace of God which was given me to you-ward;

²¹ if so be that ye heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus:

²³ and that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

⁹ (for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth),

¹¹ being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

¹⁷ Not that I seek for the gift; but I seek for the fruit that increaseth to your account.

¹⁰ to walk worthily of the Lord unto all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

⁵ how that our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and [in] much assurance; even as ye know what manner of men we shewed ourselves toward you for your sake.

¹³ But we are bound to give thanks to God alway for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, for that God chose you from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

¹¹ For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men, ¹² instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world;

² according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied. ³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

¹² By Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I account [him], I have written unto you briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God: stand ye fast therein.

⁷ My servant Moses is not so; he is faithful in all mine house:

⁴⁵ Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season?

²¹ His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

² Here, moreover, it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

²⁵ Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: but I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.

²³ Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as one beside himself) I more; in labours more abundantly, in prisons more abundantly, in stripes above measure, in deaths oft.

²¹ subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ.

¹⁹ But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. ²⁰ For I have no man likeminded, who will care truly for your state. ²¹ For they all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ. ²² But ye know the proof of him, that, as a child [serveth] a father, [so] he served with me in furtherance of the gospel.

²⁵ But I counted it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fellow-worker and fellow-soldier, and your messenger and minister to my need;

⁷ All my affairs shall Tychicus make known unto you, the beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow-servant in the Lord:

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, saluteth you, always striving for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.

⁶ If thou put the brethren in mind of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good doctrine which thou hast followed [until now]:

² And the things which thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

²³ Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus, saluteth thee;

¹⁷ Wherefore it behoved him in all things to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

² who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also was Moses in all his house.

⁵ and hope putteth not to shame; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Ghost which was given unto us.

³⁰ Now I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

⁴ having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have toward all the saints,

⁷ For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.

²² Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another from the heart fervently:

²³ Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will instruct you in the good and the right way.

⁹⁹ I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my meditation.

¹⁰ Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me in the land of uprightness.

¹⁷ If any man willeth to do his will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it be of God, or [whether] I speak from myself.

⁵ Peter therefore was kept in the prison: but prayer was made earnestly of the church unto God for him.

⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world. ⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you, always in my prayers ¹⁰ making request, if by any means now at length I may be prospered by the will of God to come unto you.

² And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

⁵ that in everything ye were enriched in him, in all utterance and all knowledge;

⁸ which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,

¹⁵ For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and which [ye shew] toward all the saints, ¹⁶ cease not to give thanks for you, making mention [of you] in my prayers; ¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; ¹⁸ having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, ¹⁹ and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might ²⁰ which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly [places],

¹⁰ proving what is well-pleasing unto the Lord;

¹⁷ Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

⁶ not in the way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

⁴ always in every supplication of mine on behalf of you all making my supplication with joy,

³ We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, ⁴ having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have toward all the saints,

⁶ which is come unto you; even as it is also in all the world bearing fruit and increasing, as [it doth] in you also, since the day ye heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

⁵ Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

¹⁷ pray without ceasing;

¹¹ To which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and [every] work of faith, with power;

³ I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers in a pure conscience, how unceasing is my remembrance of thee in my supplications, night and day ⁴ longing to see thee, remembering thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;

⁴ I thank my God always, making mention of thee in my prayers,

³⁶ For ye have need of patience, that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.

²¹ make you perfect in every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

⁵ But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.

¹⁵ For so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

² that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

¹⁷ And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

⁷ When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

¹¹ He shall see of the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many: and he shall bear their iniquities.

⁴ But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

⁵ For all the peoples will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.

¹⁴ For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

⁸ Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and [so] shall ye be my disciples.

³ And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, [even] Jesus Christ.

¹² and the father of circumcision to them who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham which he had in uncircumcision.

⁴ We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

¹⁴ But thanks be unto God, which always leadeth us in triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest through us the savour of his knowledge in every place.

⁶ Seeing it is God, that said, Light shall shine out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

⁸ And God is able to make all grace abound unto you; that ye, having always all sufficiency in everything, may abound unto every good work:

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;

¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.

¹ I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beseech you to walk worthily of the calling wherewith ye were called,

¹³ till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

² and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odour of a sweet smell.

¹⁵ Look therefore carefully how ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise;

²⁷ Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ: that, whether I come and see you or be absent, I may hear of your state, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the gospel;

¹⁸ But I have all things, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things [that came] from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God.

⁶ As therefore ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, [so] walk in him,

¹⁹ and not holding fast the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and bands, increaseth with the increase of God.

²⁰ Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing in the Lord.

¹² to the end that ye should walk worthily of God, who calleth you into his own kingdom and glory.

¹ Finally then, brethren, we beseech and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as ye received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, even as ye do walk,—that ye abound more and more.

⁴ No soldier on service entangleth himself in the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.

¹ Put them in mind to be in subjection to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready unto every good work,

¹⁴ And let our [people] also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

⁵ By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and he was not found, because God translated him: for before his translation he hath had witness borne to him that he had been well-pleasing unto God:

¹⁶ But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

² Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; ³ seeing that his divine power hath granted unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that called us by his own glory and virtue;

⁸ For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to be not idle nor unfruitful unto the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] the glory both now and for ever. Amen.

²² and whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.

⁶ Thy right hand, O LORD, is glorious in power, Thy right hand, O LORD, dasheth in pieces the enemy.

² So have I looked upon thee in the sanctuary, to see thy power and thy glory.

¹⁰ If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

²⁴ Only in the LORD, shall one say unto me, is righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come, and all they that were incensed against him shall be ashamed.

⁸ But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

⁴¹ They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonour for the Name.

⁷ to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honour and incorruption, eternal life:

³ And not only so, but let us also rejoice in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; ⁴ and patience, probation; and probation, hope: ⁵ and hope putteth not to shame; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Ghost which was given unto us.

⁷ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves;

⁴ but in everything commending ourselves, as ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, ⁵ in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; ⁶ in pureness, in knowledge, in longsuffering, in kindness, in the Holy Ghost, in love unfeigned,

⁹ And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for [my] power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ¹⁰ Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

¹⁶ that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that ye may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man;

² with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.

¹³ I can do all things in him that strengtheneth me.

³ that no man be moved by these afflictions; for yourselves know that hereunto we are appointed. ⁴ For verily, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we are to suffer affliction; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

¹ Thou therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. ² And the things which thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. ³ Suffer hardship with [me], as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

³⁴ For ye both had compassion on them that were in bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your possessions, knowing that ye yourselves have a better possession and an abiding one. ³⁵ Cast not away therefore your boldness, which hath great recompense of reward. ³⁶ For ye have need of patience, that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise. ³⁷ For yet a very little while, He that cometh shall come, and shall not tarry. ³⁸ But my righteous one shall live by faith: And if he shrink back, my soul hath no pleasure in him.

³⁴ quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, waxed mighty in war, turned to flight armies of aliens. ³⁵ Women received their dead by a resurrection: and others were tortured, not accepting their deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: ³⁶ and others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: ³⁷ they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, they were tempted, they were slain with the sword: they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, evil entreated ³⁸ (of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in deserts and mountains and caves, and the holes of the earth.

¹ Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, ² looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of [our] faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

² Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into manifold temptations; ³ Knowing that the proof of your faith worketh patience. ⁴ And let patience have [its] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, lacking in nothing.

⁷ Be patient therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it, until it receive the early and latter rain. ⁸ Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

⁶ and in [your] knowledge temperance; and in [your] temperance patience; and in [your] patience godliness;

²⁵ to the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, [be] glory, majesty, dominion and power, before all time, and now, and for evermore. Amen.

¹² Here is the patience of the saints, they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

⁷ And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready at the quarry: and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.

²⁰ And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD, the God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king.

⁹ For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

¹³ So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.

¹¹ Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

²¹ Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! ²² And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with singing.

⁷ Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.

¹⁸ But the path of the righteous is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

¹ The preparations of the heart belong to man: but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.

¹⁹ The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. ²⁰ Thy sun shall no more go down, neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

²³ I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast now made known unto me what we desired of thee: for thou hast made known unto us the king’s matter.

³⁴ Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

¹⁷ Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto the Father: but go unto my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.

³² And now I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build [you] up, and to give [you] the inheritance among all them that are sanctified.

¹⁷ and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified with [him].

²⁹ For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren: ³⁰ and whom he foreordained, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

²³ and that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he afore prepared unto glory,

¹⁷ But if some of the branches were broken off, and thou, being a wild olive, wast grafted in among them, and didst become partaker with them of the root of the fatness of the olive tree;

²⁷ Yea, it hath been their good pleasure; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it [to them] also to minister unto them in carnal things.

⁶ yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we unto him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through him.

²³ And I do all things for the gospel’s sake, that I may be a joint partaker thereof.

⁵ Now he that wrought us for this very thing is God, who gave unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

¹¹ in whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his will;

¹⁸ having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

⁶ [to wit], that the Gentiles are fellow-heirs, and fellow-members of the body, and fellow-partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,

⁶ one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all.

⁴ nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, which are not befitting: but rather giving of thanks.

²⁰ giving thanks always for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;

² that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, [even] Christ,

¹⁵ And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to the which also ye were called in one body; and be ye thankful.

¹⁷ And whatsoever ye do, in word or in deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

¹⁴ who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.

¹ Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, [even] Jesus;

¹⁴ for we are become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm unto the end:

²³ to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

⁹ Therewith bless we the Lord and Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the likeness of God:

² according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied. ³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, ⁵ who by the power of God are guarded through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

¹ The elders therefore among you I exhort, who am a fellow-elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, who am also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

³ that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you also, that ye also may have fellowship with us: yea, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ:

¹ Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God: and [such] we are. For this cause the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. ² Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is. ³ And every one that hath this hope [set] on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

²³ And the city hath no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine upon it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp thereof [is] the Lamb.

⁵ And there shall be night no more; and they need no light of lamp, neither light of sun; for the Lord God shall give them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

¹⁴ Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may have the right [to come] to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

⁶ Yet I have set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. ⁷ I will tell of the decree: the LORD said unto me, Thou art my son; this day have I begotten thee.

⁶ For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. ⁷ Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with judgment and with righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts shall perform this.

¹ Behold my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delighteth: I have put my spirit upon him; he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

²⁴ Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives be delivered? ²⁵ But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

¹² Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

¹³ I saw in the night visions, and, behold, there came with the clouds of heaven one like unto a son of man, and he came even to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. ¹⁴ And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy king cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass.

¹⁷ and lo, a voice out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

²⁹ Or how can one enter into the house of the strong [man], and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong [man]? and then he will spoil his house. ³⁰ He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

⁵ While he was yet speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

²⁴ Strive to enter in by the narrow door: for many, I say unto you, shall seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

⁵³ When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched not forth your hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

³⁵ The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

²⁴ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath eternal life, and cometh not into judgment, but hath passed out of death into life.

³¹ Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. ³² And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto myself.

²⁴ Father, that which thou hast given me, I will that, where I am, they also may be with me; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

¹⁷ But thanks be to God, that, whereas ye were servants of sin, ye became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereunto ye were delivered; ¹⁸ and being made free from sin, ye became servants of righteousness. ¹⁹ I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye presented your members [as] servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity, even so now present your members [as] servants to righteousness unto sanctification. ²⁰ For when ye were servants of sin, ye were free in regard of righteousness. ²¹ What fruit then had ye at that time in the things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. ²² But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end eternal life.

¹⁷ for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

⁹ Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And such were some of you: but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.

²³ But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; then they that are Christ’s, at his coming. ²⁴ Then [cometh] the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power. ²⁵ For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.

⁴ in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn [upon them].

¹⁷ Wherefore Come ye out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, And touch no unclean thing; And I will receive you, ¹⁸ And will be to you a Father, And ye shall be to me sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

⁶ to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved:

³ among whom we also all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:— ⁴ but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, ⁵ even when we were dead through our trespasses, quickened us together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved), ⁶ and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly [places], in Christ Jesus: ⁷ that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus: ⁸ for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: ⁹ not of works, that no man should glory. ¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.

¹⁸ being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their heart;

⁸ For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light

¹² For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual [hosts] of wickedness in the heavenly [places].

³ For we also were aforetime foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness of God our Saviour, and his love toward man, appeared, ⁵ not by works [done] in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, ⁶ which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

¹⁴ Since then the children are sharers in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same; that through death he might bring to nought him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

⁹ But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for [God’s] own possession, that ye may shew forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

¹¹ for thus shall be richly supplied unto you the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

⁸ Again, a new commandment write I unto you, which thing is true in him and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light already shineth.

⁸ he that doeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. To this end was the Son of God manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

¹ [A Psalm] of David. Maschil. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. ² Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

⁴ But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

²⁸ even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

²⁰ And seeing their faith, he said, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.

⁴⁷ Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, [the same] loveth little. ⁴⁸ And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. ⁴⁹ And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that even forgiveth sins? ⁵⁰ And he said unto the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

³⁸ And Peter [said] unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

⁴³ To him bear all the prophets witness, that through his name every one that believeth on him shall receive remission of sins.

³⁸ Be it known unto you therefore, brethren, that through this man is proclaimed unto you remission of sins: ³⁹ and by him every one that believeth is justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

²⁸ Take heed unto yourselves, and to all the flock, in the which the Holy Ghost hath made you bishops, to feed the church of God, which he purchased with his own blood.

²⁴ being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ²⁵ whom God set forth [to be] a propitiation, through faith, by his blood, to shew his righteousness, because of the passing over of the sins done aforetime, in the forbearance of God;

⁶ Even as David also pronounceth blessing upon the man, unto whom God reckoneth righteousness apart from works, ⁷ [saying], Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, And whose sins are covered. ⁸ Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not reckon sin.

¹³ Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

⁷ in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,

³² and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave you.

¹³ And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, [I say], did he quicken together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses;

¹³ forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man have a complaint against any; even as the Lord forgave you, so also do ye:

⁶ who gave himself a ransom for all; the testimony [to be borne] in its own times;

¹² nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption.

²² And according to the law, I may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.

¹² but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; ¹³ from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made the footstool of his feet. ¹⁴ For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

¹⁹ but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, [even the blood] of Christ: ²⁰ who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was manifested at the end of the times for your sake,

¹⁸ Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God; being put to death in the flesh, but quickened in the spirit;

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

² and he is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

¹² I write unto you, [my] little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loveth us, and loosed us from our sins by his blood;

⁹ And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood [men] of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,

⁴ These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These [are] they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were purchased from among men, [to be] the firstfruits unto God and unto the Lamb.

¹⁰ and they saw the God of Israel; and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and as it were the very heaven for clearness.

⁸ with him will I speak mouth to mouth, even manifestly, and not in dark speeches; and the form of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?

²⁷ I also will make him [my] firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.

²⁹ When he gave to the sea its bound, that the waters should not transgress his commandment: when he marked out the foundations of the earth: ³⁰ Then I was by him, [as] a master workman: and I was daily [his] delight, rejoicing always before him; ³¹ Rejoicing in his habitable earth; and my delight was with the sons of men.

²⁶ And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man upon it above. ²⁷ And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire within it round about, from the appearance of his loins and upward; and from the appearance of his loins and downward I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness round about him. ²⁸ As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.

¹⁸ No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.

⁹ Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how sayest thou, Shew us the Father?

²⁴ If I had not done among them the works which none other did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

²⁹ For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren:

⁶ who, being in the form of God, counted it not a prize to be on an equality with God,

¹⁶ for in him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him; ¹⁷ and he is before all things, and in him all things consist.

¹⁷ Now unto the King eternal, incorruptible, invisible, the only God, [be] honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁶ who only hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honour and power eternal. Amen.

³ who being the effulgence of his glory, and the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

⁶ And when he again bringeth in the firstborn into the world he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

²⁷ By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

¹⁴ And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God:

³⁹ Know therefore this day, and lay it to thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

¹¹ Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth [is thine]; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

²⁵ Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the work of thy hands. ²⁶ They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: ²⁷ But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.

⁴ The LORD hath made every thing for its own end: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

⁹ O thou that tellest good tidings to Zion, get thee up into the high mountain: O thou that tellest good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold, your God! ¹⁰ Behold, the Lord GOD will come as a mighty one, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his recompence before him. ¹¹ He shall feed his flock like a shepherd, he shall gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom, [and] shall gently lead those that give suck. ¹² Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

²¹ the people which I formed for myself, that they might set forth my praise.

²⁴ Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb: I am the LORD, that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth; who is with me?

³ All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made.

³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,

³⁶ For of him, and through him, and unto him, are all things. To him [be] the glory for ever. Amen.

¹⁰ unto a dispensation of the fulness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things upon the earth; in him, [I say],

²⁰ which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly [places], ²¹ far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

⁹ and to make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery which from all ages hath been hid in God who created all things; ¹⁰ to the intent that now unto the principalities and the powers in the heavenly [places] might be made known through the church the manifold wisdom of God,

¹⁰ that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven and [things] on earth and [things] under the earth,

¹⁵ who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;

²⁰ and through him to reconcile all things unto himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, [I say], whether things upon the earth, or things in the heavens.

¹⁰ and in him ye are made full, who is the head of all principality and power:

¹⁵ having put off from himself the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

² hath at the end of these days spoken unto us in [his] Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds;

¹⁰ And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of thy hands: ¹¹ They shall perish; but thou continuest: And they all shall wax old as doth a garment; ¹² And as a mantle shalt thou roll them up, As a garment, and they shall be changed: But thou art the same, And thy years shall not fail.

¹⁰ For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

³ For he hath been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by so much as he that built the house hath more honour than the house. ⁴ For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things is God.

²² who is on the right hand of God, having gone into heaven; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

¹³ And every created thing which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all things that are in them, heard I saying, Unto him that sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb, [be] the blessing, and the honour, and the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever. ¹⁴ And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshipped.

⁸ He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, he lifteth up the needy from the dunghill, to make them sit with princes, and inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, and he hath set the world upon them.

³ The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I have set up the pillars of it. Selah

²² The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. ²³ I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

¹¹ I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. ¹² I have declared, and I have saved, and I have shewed, and there was no strange [god] among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and I am God. ¹³ Yea, since the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

⁶ Thus saith the LORD, the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

² But thou, Beth-lehem Ephrathah, which art little to be among the thousands of Judah, out of thee shall one come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² The same was in the beginning with God. ³ All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made.

¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh even until now, and I work. ¹⁸ For this cause therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only brake the sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

⁵⁸ Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

⁵ And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

²⁸ for in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain even of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

⁸ Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday and today, [yea] and for ever.

⁸ I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith the Lord God, which is and which was and which is to come, the Almighty.

¹¹ saying, What thou seest, write in a book, and send [it] to the seven churches; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamum, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as one dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying, Fear not; I am the first and the last,

⁸ And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and lived [again]:

² Thou art fairer than the children of men; grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. ³ Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O mighty one, thy glory and thy majesty. ⁴ And in thy majesty ride on prosperously, because of truth and meekness [and] righteousness: and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. ⁵ Thine arrows are sharp; the peoples fall under thee; [they are] in the heart of the king’s enemies.

¹⁰ My beloved is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand.

¹³ Behold, my servant shall deal wisely, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high.

⁸ But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your teacher, and all ye are brethren.

¹⁸ And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.

¹⁶ For of his fulness we all received, and grace for grace.

²⁷ [even] he that cometh after me, the latchet of whose shoe I am not worthy to unloose.

²⁹ He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. ³⁰ He must increase, but I must decrease. ³¹ He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is of the earth, and of the earth he speaketh: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

³⁴ For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for he giveth not the Spirit by measure. ³⁵ The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

²⁵ Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he die, yet shall he live: ²⁶ and whosoever liveth and believeth on me shall never die. Believest thou this?

²³ how that the Christ must suffer, [and] how that he first by the resurrection of the dead should proclaim light both to the people and to the Gentiles.

³ But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

²⁰ But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of them that are asleep. ²¹ For since by man [came] death, by man [came] also the resurrection of the dead. ²² For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. ²³ But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; then they that are Christ’s, at his coming.

²⁵ For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.

²² and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, ²³ which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

¹⁵ but speaking truth in love, may grow up in all things into him, which is the head, [even] Christ; ¹⁶ from whom all the body fitly framed and knit together through that which every joint supplieth, according to the working in [due] measure of each several part, maketh the increase of the body unto the building up of itself in love.

²³ For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, [being] himself the saviour of the body.

²⁴ Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church;

¹⁰ and in him ye are made full, who is the head of all principality and power: ¹¹ in whom ye were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ; ¹² having been buried with him in baptism, wherein ye were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. ¹³ And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, [I say], did he quicken together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses; ¹⁴ having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he hath taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross;

⁵ For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee? and again, I will be to him a Father, And he shall be to me a Son? ⁶ And when he again bringeth in the firstborn into the world he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

¹ That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we beheld, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of life

¹⁸ and the Living one; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.

⁹ And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood [men] of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation, ¹⁰ and madest them [to be] unto our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign upon the earth. ¹¹ And I saw, and I heard a voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; ¹² saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb that hath been slain to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and might, and honour, and glory, and blessing. ¹³ And every created thing which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all things that are in them, heard I saying, Unto him that sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb, [be] the blessing, and the honour, and the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded; and there followed great voices in heaven, and they said, The kingdom of the world is become [the kingdom] of our Lord, and of his Christ: and he shall reign for ever and ever.

⁶ And he said unto me, They are come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

²³ And the city hath no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine upon it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp thereof [is] the Lamb. ²⁴ And the nations shall walk amidst the light thereof: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory into it.

¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.

²⁵ At that season Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: ²⁶ yea, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight. ²⁷ All things have been delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth the Son, save the Father; neither doth any know the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son willeth to reveal [him].

²¹ In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: yea, Father; for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight.

³⁴ For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for he giveth not the Spirit by measure.

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly [places] in Christ:

⁵ having foreordained us unto adoption as sons through Jesus Christ unto himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

²³ which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

¹⁰ He that descended is the same also that ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)

³ in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden.

⁹ for in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily,

¹¹ where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondman, freeman: but Christ is all, and in all.

³⁰ And no sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tent of meeting to make atonement in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt with fire.

¹⁰ Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. ¹¹ Truth springeth out of the earth; and righteousness hath looked clown from heaven.

¹⁷ And it shall be the prince’s part to give the burnt offerings, and the meal offerings, and the drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meal offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel. ¹⁸ Thus saith the Lord GOD: In the first [month], in the first [day] of the month, thou shalt take a young bullock without blemish; and thou shalt cleanse the sanctuary. ¹⁹ And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering, and put it upon the door posts of the house, and upon the four corners of the settle of the altar, and upon the posts of the gate of the inner court. ²⁰ And so thou shalt do on the seventh [day] of the month for every one that erreth, and for him that is simple: so shall ye make atonement for the house.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy. ²⁵ Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the anointed one, the prince, shall be seven weeks: and threescore and two weeks, it shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troublous times. ²⁶ And after the threescore and two weeks shall the anointed one be cut off, and shall have nothing: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and his end shall be with a flood, and even unto the end shall be war; desolations are determined.

⁵ And this [man] shall be [our] peace: when the Assyrian shall come into our land, and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy king cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass. ¹⁰ And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off; and he shall speak peace unto the nations: and his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men in whom he is well pleased.

³⁰ And Cornelius said, Four days ago, until this hour, I was keeping the ninth hour of prayer in my house; and behold, a man stood before me in bright apparel,

¹ Being therefore justified by faith, let us have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

¹⁸ But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation; ¹⁹ to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation. ²⁰ We are ambassadors therefore on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beseech [you] on behalf of Christ, be ye reconciled to God. ²¹ Him who knew no sin he made [to be] sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

¹³ But now in Christ Jesus ye that once were far off are made nigh in the blood of Christ. ¹⁴ For he is our peace, who made both one, and brake down the middle wall of partition, ¹⁵ having abolished in his flesh the enmity, [even] the law of commandments [contained] in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the twain one new man, [so] making peace; ¹⁶ and might reconcile them both in one body unto God through the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: ¹⁷ and he came and preached peace to you that were far off, and peace to them that were nigh:

²¹ And you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works, yet now hath he reconciled ²² in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreproveable before him:

²⁰ Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of the eternal covenant, [even] our Lord Jesus, ²¹ make you perfect in every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

⁹ Herein was the love of God manifested in us, that God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. ¹⁰ Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.

³⁰ backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

⁹ Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from the wrath [of God] through him. ¹⁰ For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life;

⁷ because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be: ⁸ and they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

¹ And you [did he quicken], when ye were dead through your trespasses and sins, ² wherein aforetime ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience; ³ among whom we also all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:—

¹² that ye were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

¹⁹ So then ye are no more strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God,

¹⁵ To the pure all things are pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. ¹⁶ They profess that they know God; but by their works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

³ For we also were aforetime foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness of God our Saviour, and his love toward man, appeared, ⁵ not by works [done] in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, ⁶ which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour; ⁷ that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

⁴ Ye adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore would be a friend of the world maketh himself an enemy of God.

¹⁵ Behold, he putteth no trust in his holy ones; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

⁵ Behold, even the moon hath no brightness, and the stars are not pure in his sight:

⁷ Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

⁷⁵ In holiness and righteousness before him all our days.

⁴ Wherefore, my brethren, ye also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ; that ye should be joined to another, [even] to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit unto God.

² For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy: for I espoused you to one husband, that I might present you [as] a pure virgin to Christ.

⁴ even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in love:

¹⁵ having abolished in his flesh the enmity, [even] the law of commandments [contained] in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the twain one new man, [so] making peace; ¹⁶ and might reconcile them both in one body unto God through the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

²⁷ that he might present the church to himself a glorious [church], not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

⁷ For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification.

¹⁰ By which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

²⁰ by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

¹⁴ Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for these things, give diligence that ye may be found in peace, without spot and blameless in his sight.

²⁴ Now unto him that is able to guard you from stumbling, and to set you before the presence of his glory without blemish in exceeding joy,

²⁵ This day will I begin to put the dread of thee and the fear of thee upon the peoples that are under the whole heaven, who shall hear the report of thee, and shall tremble, and be in anguish because of thee.

¹⁹ and lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the host of heaven, thou be drawn away and worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all the peoples under the whole heaven.

¹³ They that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. ¹⁴ They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and green:

⁵ But as for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.

⁶⁶ Thou wilt pursue them in anger, and destroy them from under the heavens of the LORD.

²⁶ When the righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth therein; in his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.

³ And let us know, let us follow on to know the LORD; his going forth is sure as the morning: and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain that watereth the earth. ⁴ O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the dew that goeth early away.

⁶ and them that are turned back from following the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor inquired after him.

²⁴ Every one therefore which heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, which built his house upon the rock: ²⁵ and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon the rock.

¹³ But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved. ¹⁴ And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.

⁴⁸ he is like a man building a house, who digged and went deep, and laid a foundation upon the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream brake against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well builded.

¹³ And those on the rock [are] they which, when they have heard, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. ¹⁴ And that which fell among the thorns, these are they that have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of [this] life, and bring no fruit to perfection. ¹⁵ And that in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it fast, and bring forth fruit with patience.

³² but I made supplication for thee, that thy faith fail not: and do thou, when once thou hast turned again, stablish thy brethren.

³⁰ As he spake these things, many believed on him. ³¹ Jesus therefore said to those Jews which had believed him, If ye abide in my word, [then] are ye truly my disciples; ³² and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

⁶ If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

⁹ Even as the Father hath loved me, I also have loved you: abide ye in my love. ¹⁰ If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

¹⁷ For he was numbered among us, and received his portion in this ministry.

²⁵ to take the place in this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas fell away, that he might go to his own place.

⁵ Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.

¹² And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved.

²³ who, when he was come, and had seen the grace of God, was glad; and he exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord:

²² confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God.

²⁴ But I hold not my life of any account, as dear unto myself, so that I may accomplish my course, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

¹⁶ But arise, and stand upon thy feet: for to this end have I appeared unto thee, to appoint thee a minister and a witness both of the things wherein thou hast seen me, and of the things wherein I will appear unto thee;

¹⁸ But I say, Did they not hear? Yea, verily, Their sound went out into all the earth, And their words unto the ends of the world.

¹⁶ that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

⁵ What then is Apollos? and what is Paul? Ministers through whom ye believed; and each as the Lord gave to him.

¹ Let a man so account of us, as of ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. ² Here, moreover, it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. ³ But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.

⁵⁸ Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not vain in the Lord.

⁶ who also made us sufficient as ministers of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

¹ Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we faint not:

¹⁸ But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation; ¹⁹ to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation. ²⁰ We are ambassadors therefore on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beseech [you] on behalf of Christ, be ye reconciled to God.

¹¹ I am afraid of you, lest by any means I have bestowed labour upon you in vain.

⁷ Ye were running well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

⁹ And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

²¹ in whom each several building, fitly framed together, groweth into a holy temple in the Lord;

⁷ whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power. ⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach unto the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

¹⁷ that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

¹⁶ from whom all the body fitly framed and knit together through that which every joint supplieth, according to the working in [due] measure of each several part, maketh the increase of the body unto the building up of itself in love.

⁵ because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, ⁶ which is come unto you; even as it is also in all the world bearing fruit and increasing, as [it doth] in you also, since the day ye heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

²⁵ whereof I was made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which was given me to you-ward, to fulfill the word of God,

⁷ rooted and builded up in him, and stablished in your faith, even as ye were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

³ that no man be moved by these afflictions; for yourselves know that hereunto we are appointed.

⁵ For this cause I also, when I could no longer forbear, sent that I might know your faith, lest by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labour should be in vain.

⁸ But let us, since we are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

¹² I thank him that enabled me, [even] Christ Jesus our Lord, for that he counted me faithful, appointing me to [his] service;

⁷ whereunto I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I speak the truth, I lie not), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

¹¹ whereunto I was appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher. ¹² For the which cause I suffer also these things: yet I am not ashamed; for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed unto him against that day.

⁵ But be thou sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill thy ministry. ⁶ For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure is come.

⁷ that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

⁶ but Christ as a son, over his house; whose house are we, if we hold fast our boldness and the glorying of our hope firm unto the end.

¹⁴ Having then a great high priest, who hath passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

¹⁹ which we have as an anchor of the soul, [a hope] both sure and stedfast and entering into that which is within the veil;

³⁸ But my righteous one shall live by faith: And if he shrink back, my soul hath no pleasure in him.

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

⁵ who by the power of God are guarded through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

¹⁸ For, uttering great swelling [words] of vanity, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by lasciviousness, those who are just escaping from them that live in error; ¹⁹ promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he also brought into bondage. ²⁰ For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein and overcome, the last state is become worse with them than the first. ²¹ For it were better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered unto them. ²² It has happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog turning to his own vomit again, and the sow that had washed to wallowing in the mire.

²⁷ And as for you, the anointing which ye received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any one teach you; but as his anointing teacheth you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, ye abide in him.

¹⁰ Fear not the things which thou art about to suffer: behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.

¹¹ Blessed are ye when [men] shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. ¹² Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

³ And not only so, but let us also rejoice in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

⁵ For as the sufferings of Christ abound unto us, even so our comfort also aboundeth through Christ. ⁶ But whether we be afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or whether we be comforted, it is for your comfort, which worketh in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: ⁷ and our hope for you is stedfast; knowing that, as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so also are ye of the comfort. ⁸ For we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning our affliction which befell [us] in Asia, that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

⁸ [we are] pressed on every side, yet not straitened; perplexed, yet not unto despair; ⁹ pursued, yet not forsaken; smitten down, yet not destroyed; ¹⁰ always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body. ¹¹ For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh. ¹² So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

⁴ Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying on your behalf: I am filled with comfort, I overflow with joy in all our affliction.

²³ Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as one beside himself) I more; in labours more abundantly, in prisons more abundantly, in stripes above measure, in deaths oft. ²⁴ Of the Jews five times received I forty [stripes] save one. ²⁵ Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day have I been in the deep; ²⁶ [in] journeyings often, [in] perils of rivers, [in] perils of robbers, [in] perils from [my] countrymen, [in] perils from the Gentiles, [in] perils in the city, [in] perils in the wilderness, [in] perils in the sea, [in] perils among false brethren; ²⁷ [in] labour and travail, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

¹ For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus in behalf of you Gentiles,—

¹³ Wherefore I ask that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which are your glory.

¹⁷ Yea, and if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all: ¹⁸ and in the same manner do ye also joy, and rejoice with me.

¹⁰ that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death;

¹⁸ And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

⁸ Be not ashamed therefore of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but suffer hardship with the gospel according to the power of God;

⁹ wherein I suffer hardship unto bonds, as a malefactor; but the word of God is not bound. ¹⁰ Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

² Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into manifold temptations;

¹⁵ But I write the more boldly unto you in some measure, as putting you again in remembrance, because of the grace that was given me of God, ¹⁶ that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. ¹⁷ I have therefore my glorying in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God. ¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak of any things save those which Christ wrought through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed, ¹⁹ in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Ghost; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ;

¹⁷ For if I do this of mine own will, I have a reward: but if not of mine own will, I have a stewardship intrusted to me.

⁷ but contrariwise, when they saw that I had been intrusted with the gospel of the uncircumcision, even as Peter with [the gospel] of the circumcision ⁸ (for he that wrought for Peter unto the apostleship of the circumcision wrought for me also unto the Gentiles);

² preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. ³ For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; ⁴ and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables. ⁵ But be thou sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill thy ministry.

¹⁴ The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

¹¹ And he answered and said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

¹¹ And he said unto them, Unto you is given the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all things are done in parables:

¹⁰ And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to the rest in parables; that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.

²⁵ Now to him that is able to stablish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which hath been kept in silence through times eternal, ²⁶ but now is manifested, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, is made known unto all the nations unto obedience of faith;

⁷ but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, [even] the [wisdom] that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory:

³ how that by revelation was made known unto me the mystery, as I wrote afore in few words, ⁴ whereby, when ye read, ye can perceive my understanding in the mystery of Christ; ⁵ which in other generations was not made known unto the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit; ⁶ [to wit], that the Gentiles are fellow-heirs, and fellow-members of the body, and fellow-partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel, ⁷ whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power. ⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach unto the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

¹⁰ but hath now been manifested by the appearing of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who abolished death, and brought life and incorruption to light through the gospel,

⁹ Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall dwell in safety. ¹⁰ For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; neither wilt thou suffer thine holy one to see corruption. ¹¹ Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; in thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

²¹ neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the kingdom of God is within you.

⁵⁶ He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood abideth in me, and I in him.

¹⁷ [even] the Spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive; for it beholdeth him not, neither knoweth him: ye know him; for he abideth with you, and shall be in you.

²⁰ In that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

²³ Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

² Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh it away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he cleanseth it, that it may bear more fruit. ³ Already ye are clean because of the word which I have spoken unto you. ⁴ Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me. ⁵ I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for apart from me ye can do nothing.

²² And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we [are] one; ²³ I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me.

²⁶ and I made known unto them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou lovedst me may be in them, and I in them.

² through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and let us rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

¹⁰ And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness.

¹⁸ For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us-ward. ¹⁹ For the earnest expectation of the creation waiteth for the revealing of the sons of God.

³³ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!

¹² But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God. ¹³ Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. ¹⁴ Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.

¹⁶ Know ye not that ye are a temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

¹⁷ For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;

¹⁶ And what agreement hath a temple of God with idols? for we are a temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

¹⁵ But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me, [even] from my mother’s womb, and called me through his grace, ¹⁶ to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ; yet I live; [and yet] no longer I, but Christ liveth in me: and that [life] which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, [the faith] which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.

¹⁹ My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ be formed in you,

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; ¹⁸ having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

²² in whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

¹⁶ that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that ye may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man; ¹⁷ that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

¹⁹ And my God shall fulfill every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

⁵ because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,

¹ Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Saviour, and Christ Jesus our hope;

⁴ Ye are of God, [my] little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

⁵ Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the midst of the land whither ye go in to possess it.

⁵ O ye simple, understand subtilty; and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

⁹ And further, because the Preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he pondered, and sought out, [and] set in order many proverbs.

¹⁵ and I will give you shepherds according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

¹⁰ To whom shall I speak and testify, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is become unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

¹⁷ Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. ¹⁸ When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood wilt I require at thine hand. ¹⁹ Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. ²⁰ Again, when a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. ²¹ Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning; and thou hast delivered thy soul.

¹⁰ Behold, the day, behold, it cometh: thy doom is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.

⁴ then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning, if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. ⁵ He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him: whereas if he had taken warning he should have delivered his soul. ⁶ But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned, and the sword come, and take any person from among them; he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. ⁷ So thou, son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. ⁸ When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die, and thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way; that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at thine hand. ⁹ Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he turn not from his way; he shall die in his iniquity, but thou hast delivered thy soul.

⁷ But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said unto them, Ye offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

⁴⁸ Ye therefore shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.

³⁴ And he came forth and saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

¹⁵ for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to withstand or to gainsay.

²⁰ and that he may send the Christ who hath been appointed for you, [even] Jesus:

⁴² And every day, in the temple and at home, they ceased not to teach and to preach Jesus [as] the Christ.

⁵ And Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and proclaimed unto them the Christ.

³⁵ And Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this scripture, preached unto him Jesus.

²⁰ And straightway in the synagogues he proclaimed Jesus, that he is the Son of God.

²⁰ But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Greeks also, preaching the Lord Jesus.

³⁸ Be it known unto you therefore, brethren, that through this man is proclaimed unto you remission of sins:

³ opening and alleging, that it behoved the Christ to suffer, and to rise again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom, [said he], I proclaim unto you, is the Christ.

¹⁸ And certain also of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some said, What would this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached Jesus and the resurrection.

²⁷ For I shrank not from declaring unto you the whole counsel of God. ²⁸ Take heed unto yourselves, and to all the flock, in the which the Holy Ghost hath made you bishops, to feed the church of God, which he purchased with his own blood.

³¹ Wherefore watch ye, remembering that by the space of three years I ceased not to admonish every one night and day with tears.

²⁵ Now to him that is able to stablish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which hath been kept in silence through times eternal,

²³ but we preach Christ crucified, unto Jews a stumblingblock, and unto Gentiles foolishness;

³⁰ But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:

⁶ Howbeit we speak wisdom among the perfect: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, which are coming to nought:

¹⁵ But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, and he himself is judged of no man.

¹⁴ I write not these things to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children.

⁸ For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom; and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit:

¹² Now if Christ is preached that he hath been raised from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

⁵ For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.

⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach unto the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

¹¹ And he gave some [to be] apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; ¹² for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ: ¹³ till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

¹⁵ Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: ¹⁶ the one [do it] of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel: ¹⁷ but the other proclaim Christ of faction, not sincerely, thinking to raise up affliction for me in my bonds. ¹⁸ What then? only that in every way, whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and therein I rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

²² in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreproveable before him:

⁶ that no man transgress, and wrong his brother in the matter: because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified.

¹² But we beseech you, brethren, to know them that labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; ¹³ and to esteem them exceeding highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves. ¹⁴ And we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, encourage the fainthearted, support the weak, be longsuffering toward all.

² The bishop therefore must be without reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, soberminded, orderly, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

¹⁶ And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; He who was manifested in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, received up in glory.

²⁴ And the Lord’s servant must not strive, but be gentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing, ²⁵ in meekness correcting them that oppose themselves; if peradventure God may give them repentance unto the knowledge of the truth,

¹⁴ For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

¹⁵ And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote unto you;

²⁰ yea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was [already] named, that I might not build upon another man’s foundation;

²⁵ And every man that striveth in the games is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to receive a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. ²⁶ I therefore so run, as not uncertainly; so fight I, as not beating the air: ²⁷ but I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage: lest by any means, after that I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected.

⁶ And there are diversities of workings, but the same God, who worketh all things in all.

¹¹ but all these worketh the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each one severally even as he will.

¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

⁹ Wherefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well-pleasing unto him.

⁵ in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

³ seeing that ye seek a proof of Christ that speaketh in me; who to you-ward is not weak, but is powerful in you:

¹⁹ and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might

⁷ whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.

²⁰ Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

³⁰ having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

¹³ for it is God which worketh in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.

¹⁶ holding forth the word of life; that I may have whereof to glory in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain neither labour in vain.

¹ For I would have you know how greatly I strive for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

⁹ For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: working night and day, that we might not burden any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.

⁸ neither did we eat bread for nought at any man’s hand, but in labour and travail, working night and day, that we might not burden any of you:

¹⁰ Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

⁴ Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin:

³ and thou hast patience and didst bear for my name’s sake, and hast not grown weary.
