⁸ He smote the Philistines unto Gaza and the borders thereof, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.

⁹ And the children of Israel did secretly things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.

²⁹ Rejoice not, O Philistia, all of thee, because the rod that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent’s root shall come forth a basilisk, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.
