⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

⁷ to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honour and incorruption, eternal life:

¹² The night is far spent, and the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. ¹³ Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy. ¹⁴ But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfill] the lusts [thereof].

² For verily in this we groan, longing to be clothed upon with our habitation which is from heaven: ³ if so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. ⁴ For indeed we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened; not for that we would be unclothed, but that we would be clothed upon, that what is mortal may be swallowed up of life.

²⁷ For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ.

²⁴ and put on the new man, which after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

² Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is.
