¹ ¶ And there came one of the seven angels who had the seven vials and talked with me, saying unto me, Come here; I will show unto thee the condemnation of the great whore that sits upon many waters, ² with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. ³ So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman seated upon a scarlet-coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. ⁴ And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and of the filthiness of her fornication; ⁵ and upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. ⁶ And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus; and when I saw her, I marvelled with great surprise. ⁷ ¶ And the angel said unto me, Why didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten horns. ⁸ The beast that thou sawest was, and is not, and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and shall go into perdition; and those that dwell on the earth shall wonder (whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world) when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. ⁹ And here is the meaning which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits. ¹⁰ And they are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he comes, he must continue a short space. ¹¹ And the beast that was, and is not, is also the eighth king, and is of the seven, and goes into perdition. ¹² And the ten horns which thou hast seen are ten kings, which have not yet taken a kingdom, but shall take authority as kings one hour with the beast. ¹³ These have one mind and shall give their power and authority unto the beast. ¹⁴ ¶ These shall make war against the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them; for he is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those that are with him are called and chosen and faithful. ¹⁵ And he said unto me, The waters which thou hast seen, where the whore sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues. ¹⁶ And the ten horns which thou didst see upon the beast, these shall hate the whore and shall make her desolate and naked and shall eat her flesh and burn her with fire. ¹⁷ For God has put in their hearts to fulfil his will and to agree and give their kingdom unto the beast until the words of God shall be fulfilled. ¹⁸ And the woman which thou hast seen is that great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.

²¹ ¶ How is the faithful city become a harlot! It was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it, but now murderers.

³ ¶ But come here, ye sons of the sorceress, generation of the adulterer and the whore.

²⁰ ¶ For of old time I have broken thy yoke and burst thy bands; and thou didst say, I will not serve sin. With all this, upon every high hill and under every green tree thou dost wander, playing the harlot.

¹³ O thou that dwellest among many waters, rich in treasures, thine end is come, the measure of thy covetousness.

⁴ because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the harlot of beautiful grace, the mistress of witchcrafts that sells the Gentiles into slavery through her whoredoms and peoples through her witchcrafts. ⁵ Here I am against thee, saith the LORD of the hosts, and I will uncover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will show the Gentiles thy nakedness and the kingdoms thy shame.

³⁰ And, behold, two men talked with him, who were Moses and Elijah,

³² And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us while he talked with us in the way and while he opened to us the scriptures?

¹ ¶ After these things I looked, and, behold, an open door in heaven, and the first voice which I heard, was like a trumpet that spoke with me, saying, Come up here, and I will show thee the things that need to be done after these.

¹ ¶ And I saw another sign in the heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is completed the wrath of God.

⁶ and the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. ⁷ And one of the four animals gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever.

¹⁹ And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the Gentiles fell; and Babylon the great came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

¹⁶ and saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls! ¹⁷ For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster and all the company in ships and sailors and as many as trade by sea stood afar off ¹⁸ and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city was like unto this great city! ¹⁹ And they cast dust on their heads and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, in which all that had ships in the sea were made rich by reason of her riches! for in one hour is she made desolate.

² for true and righteous are his judgments; for he has judged the great whore, who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his slaves at her hand.

⁹ ¶ And there came unto me one of the seven angels who had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues and talked with me, saying, Come here, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.

¹⁵ And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city and its gates and its wall.

⁷ Babylon has been a golden cup in the LORD’s hand that made all the earth drunken: the Gentiles have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

¹⁰ Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the entire world, to try those that dwell upon the earth.

⁸ And another angel followed, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has given all the Gentiles to drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

¹³ These have one mind and shall give their power and authority unto the beast.

¹⁷ For God has put in their hearts to fulfil his will and to agree and give their kingdom unto the beast until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

³ For all the Gentiles have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the power of her delicacies.

⁹ ¶ And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her and lament for her when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

²³ and the light of a lamp shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the princes of the earth in whose witchcraft all the Gentiles have erred.

¹² And it shall come to pass as soon as I am gone from thee, that the Spirit of the LORD shall carry thee where I know not; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he shall slay me; but I, thy slave, fear the LORD from my youth.

¹⁶ And they said unto him, Behold now, there are fifty strong men with thy slaves; let them go and seek thy master; peradventure the Spirit of the LORD has taken him up and cast him upon some mountain or into some valley. And he said, Do not send them.

⁵ ¶ Who is she that comes up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I woke thee up under the apple tree; there thy mother had birth pains; there she had pains that brought thee into the light.

¹² And the Spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of great thunder of the blessed glory of the LORD leaving his place,

³ And that likeness put forth his hand and took me by the locks of my head; and the Spirit lifted me up between the heaven and the earth and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looks toward the north where the habitation of the image of jealousy was, which provokes to jealousy.

²⁴ Afterwards the Spirit took me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into the land of the Chaldeans to the captives. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.

⁸ As I was considering the horns, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots; and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking grand things.

²⁰ also regarding the ten horns that were in its head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; and that same horn had eyes and a mouth that spoke very grand things, whose appearance was greater than his fellows.

²⁵ And he shall speak great words against the most High and shall break down the saints of the most High and think to move the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the half or dividing of a time.

³⁶ And the king shall do according to his will, and he shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every god and shall speak marvels against the God of gods and shall prosper until the indignation is accomplished, for the determination has been made.

³⁹ And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, so that the eunuch saw him no more, and he went on his way rejoicing.

⁴ opposing and exalting himself against all that is called God, or divinity, so that he as God sits in the temple of God, making himself appear to be God.

¹⁰ I was in the Spirit in the day of the Lord and heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet,

² And immediately I was in the spirit, and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and there was one seated upon the throne.

³ And there appeared another sign in the heaven; and, behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

⁶ And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and sixty days.

¹⁴ And to the woman were given two wings of the great eagle that she might fly from the presence of the serpent into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time and times.

¹ ¶ And I stood upon the sand of the sea and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon its horns ten crowns, and upon its heads the name of blasphemy. ² And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and its feet were as the feet of a bear, and its mouth as the mouth of a lion; and the dragon gave it his power and his throne and great authority. ³ And I saw one of its heads as it were wounded to death; and its deadly wound was healed; and all the earth marveled, and followed the beast. ⁴ And they worshipped the dragon which had given the authority unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast; saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with it? ⁵ And there was given unto it a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto it to continue forty and two months. ⁶ And it opened its mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle and those that dwell in heaven.

¹⁰ And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of the heaven from and with God,

¹⁷ and ye have seen their abominations and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which they have among them.

²⁴ And there were also male cult prostitutes in the land, and they did according to all the abominations of the Gentiles which the LORD had cast out before the sons of Israel.

² And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the Gentiles, whom the LORD cast out before the sons of Israel.

¹¹ which thou hast commanded by thy slaves the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land because of the uncleanness of the people of the lands, for the abominations with which they have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness.

³ He that kills an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrifices a lamb as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offers an oblation as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burns incense as if he blessed iniquity. They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.

⁹ Teth Her filthiness is in her skirts; she did not remember her latter end; therefore she came down surprisingly; she has no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction, for the enemy has magnified himself.

³⁰ Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Perchance are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and do ye commit whoredom after their abominations?

¹¹ setting afterward the empty pot upon the coals thereof that it may become red hot and may burn and that the filthiness of it may be molten in it, that the scum of it may be consumed.

¹³ In thy perverse filthiness thou shalt die because I have cleansed thee, and thou didst not cleanse thyself from thy uncleanness; thou shalt never cleanse thyself again, until I have caused my fury to rest upon thee.

²⁵ ¶ And I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be cleansed from all your filthiness, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.

³⁸ But in his place shall he honour the god of fortresses, {Ala Mahozim}, a god whom his fathers did not know; he shall honour it with gold and silver and precious stones and with things of great price.

¹⁰ I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the early fruit of the fig tree in her beginning; but they went in unto Baalpeor and separated themselves unto shame and made themselves as abominable as that which they loved.

³ ¶ Let no one deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come except there come a falling away first and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, ⁴ opposing and exalting himself against all that is called God, or divinity, so that he as God sits in the temple of God, making himself appear to be God. ⁵ Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things? ⁶ And ye know what impedes this now, that he might be revealed in his time. ⁷ For the mystery of iniquity is already working, except that he who dominates now will dominate until he is taken out of the way. ⁸ And then shall that Wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of his mouth and remove with the clarity of his coming: ⁹ that wicked one, who shall come by the working of Satan with great power and signs and lying miracles, ¹⁰ and with all deception of iniquity working in those that perish because they did not receive the charity of the truth, to be saved.

⁶ Reward her even as she rewarded you and pay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has given thee to drink, give her double. ⁷ As much as she has glorified herself and lived deliciously, give her that much torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

¹² The merchandise of gold and of silver and of precious stones and of pearls and of fine linen and of purple and of silk and of scarlet and of all thyine wood and of all manner vessels of ivory and of all manner vessels of most precious wood and of brass and of iron and of marble

¹⁶ and saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls!

⁹ ¶ The appearance of their countenance witnesses against them, and they declare their sin as Sodom; they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! For they have rewarded evil unto themselves.

⁴⁷ Therefore, behold, the days come that I will visit the graven images of Babylon; and her whole land shall be ashamed, and all her dead shall fall in the midst of her. ⁴⁸ Then the heavens and the earth and all that is therein shall sing praises over Babylon; for the destroyers shall come unto her from the north, said the LORD.

¹⁹ whose end shall be perdition, whose God is their belly and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things).

⁷ For the mystery of iniquity is already working, except that he who dominates now will dominate until he is taken out of the way.

¹ ¶ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. ² For there shall be men who are lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, evil speakers, disobedient to their parents, unthankful, impure, ³ without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, without temperance, without meekness, without goodness, ⁴ traitors, rash, puffed up, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, ⁵ having the appearance of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

³ saying, Hurt not the land neither the sea nor the trees until we have sealed the slaves of our God in their foreheads.

⁸ And their dead bodies shall lie in the streets of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

⁷ ¶ And the angel said unto me, Why didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten horns.

² And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of demons, and the hold of every unclean spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

⁹ ¶ And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her and lament for her when they shall see the smoke of her burning, ¹⁰ Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city; for in one hour is thy judgment come!

²¹ And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with impetus shall that great city Babylon be thrown down and shall be found no more at all.

²¹ I saw that this horn made war against the saints and overcame them;

¹³ Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil and canst not look on iniquity: why dost thou look upon those that deal treacherously and hold thy tongue when the wicked devour the man that is more righteous than he?

²⁰ and when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by and consenting unto his death and kept the raiment of those that slew him.

¹³ I know thy works and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s throne is, and thou holdest fast my name and hast not denied my faith, even in those days in which Antipas was my faithful witness, {or martyr}, who was slain among you, where Satan dwellest.

⁹ ¶ And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those that had been slain because of the word of God and for the testimony which they held: ¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on those that dwell in the earth?

¹¹ And they have overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

⁷ And it was given unto it to make war with the saints and to overcome them; and power was given it over all kindreds and tongues and nations.

¹⁵ And it was given unto him to endue the image of the beast with spirit, so that the image of the beast should speak, and he shall cause those that do not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

⁶ for they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they deserve it.

²⁰ Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye saints, apostles, and prophets; for God has judged your cause upon her. ²¹ And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with impetus shall that great city Babylon be thrown down and shall be found no more at all. ²² And the voice of harpers and musicians and of pipers and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatever craft he is, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; ²³ and the light of a lamp shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the princes of the earth in whose witchcraft all the Gentiles have erred. ²⁴ And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all that were slain upon the earth.

⁷ After this I saw in the night visions, and behold the fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and exceedingly strong; and it had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces and trod down that which was left with its feet; and it was very different from all the beasts that had been before her; and it had ten horns.

¹¹ I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spoke; I beheld even until the beast was slain and its body was undone and given over to be burned in the fire.

²⁶ And the Judge shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion to destroy and to cast out unto the end;

⁴⁵ And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas, in the desirable mountain of the sanctuary; and he shall come to his end, and shall have no one to help him.

³⁴ Then shall the King say unto those on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;

²⁴ ¶ Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am, that they may behold my clarity, which thou hast given me, for thou hast loved me from before the foundation of the world.

¹⁸ Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

⁴ according as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in charity;

³ ¶ Let no one deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come except there come a falling away first and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, ⁴ opposing and exalting himself against all that is called God, or divinity, so that he as God sits in the temple of God, making himself appear to be God. ⁵ Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things? ⁶ And ye know what impedes this now, that he might be revealed in his time. ⁷ For the mystery of iniquity is already working, except that he who dominates now will dominate until he is taken out of the way. ⁸ And then shall that Wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of his mouth and remove with the clarity of his coming:

² for the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the times of the ages

²⁰ already ordained from before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for love of you,

⁵ He that overcomes shall likewise be clothed in white raiment, and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.

¹ ¶ And the fifth angel sounded the trumpet, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth; and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. ² And he opened the bottomless pit, and there arose smoke out of the pit as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

⁷ And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them and shall overcome them and kill them.

¹ ¶ And I stood upon the sand of the sea and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon its horns ten crowns, and upon its heads the name of blasphemy. ² And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and its feet were as the feet of a bear, and its mouth as the mouth of a lion; and the dragon gave it his power and his throne and great authority. ³ And I saw one of its heads as it were wounded to death; and its deadly wound was healed; and all the earth marveled, and followed the beast. ⁴ And they worshipped the dragon which had given the authority unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast; saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with it? ⁵ And there was given unto it a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto it to continue forty and two months. ⁶ And it opened its mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle and those that dwell in heaven. ⁷ And it was given unto it to make war with the saints and to overcome them; and power was given it over all kindreds and tongues and nations. ⁸ And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship it, whose names are not written in the book of the life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. ⁹ If anyone has an ear, let him hear. ¹⁰ He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. ¹¹ ¶ Then I beheld another beast coming up out of the land; and he had two horns like the Lamb, but he spoke as the dragon. ¹² And he exercised all the power of the first beast in its presence and caused the earth and those that dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

⁸ And another angel followed, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has given all the Gentiles to drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. ⁹ And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives the mark in his forehead or in his hand, ¹⁰ the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb; ¹¹ and the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever; and those that worship the beast and its image and whosoever receives the mark of its name, have no rest day or night. ¹² Here is the patience of the saints; here are those that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. ¹³ ¶ And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on; Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours, and their works do follow them. ¹⁴ And I looked, and, behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown and in his hand a sharp sickle. ¹⁵ And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that was seated on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle and reap; for the hour is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is dry. ¹⁶ And he that was seated on the cloud thrust in his sickle upon the earth; and the earth was reaped. ¹⁷ And another angel came out of the temple which is in the heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. ¹⁸ And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. ¹⁹ And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. ²⁰ And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the bits of the horses, for a thousand six hundred furlongs.

¹ ¶ And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. ² And the first went and poured out his vial upon the earth; and an evil and grievous sore fell upon the men who had the mark of the beast and upon those who worshipped its image. ³ And the second angel poured out his vial into the sea; and it became blood as of a dead man, and every living soul died in the sea. ⁴ And the third angel poured out his vial into the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. ⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, who art and wast the Holy one because thou hast judged these things; ⁶ for they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they deserve it. ⁷ And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments. ⁸ ¶ And the fourth angel poured out his vial against the sun; and it was given unto it to scorch men with fire. ⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, who has authority over these plagues; and they did not repent to give him glory. ¹⁰ And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the throne of the beast; and its kingdom was filled with darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, ¹¹ and blasphemed the God of the heaven because of their pains and their sores and did not repent of their deeds. ¹² ¶ And the sixth angel poured out his vial into the great river Euphrates; and its water was dried up, that the way of the kings from the rising of the sun might be prepared. ¹³ And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. ¹⁴ For they are spirits of demons, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. ¹⁵ Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches and keeps his garments lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. ¹⁶ And he gathered them together into the place which in Hebrew is called, Armageddon. ¹⁷ ¶ And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of the heaven from the throne, saying, It is done. ¹⁸ Then there were voices and thunders and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as has never been since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

¹¹ And the beast that was, and is not, is also the eighth king, and is of the seven, and goes into perdition.

¹⁵ And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the Gentiles; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron; and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. ¹⁶ And he has on his garment and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. ¹⁷ And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that flew in the midst of the heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God, ¹⁸ that ye may eat flesh of kings and flesh of captains, and flesh of mighty men and flesh of horses and of those that sit on them and the flesh of everyone, free and bond, both small and great. ¹⁹ And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against him that was seated upon the horse and against his army. ²⁰ And the beast was taken and with it the false prophet that wrought miracles in its presence, with which he had deceived those that had taken the mark of the beast and had worshipped its image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. ²¹ And the others were slain with the sword that proceeded out of the mouth of him that was seated upon the horse; and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

¹⁰ And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened; which is the book of life; and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

¹⁵ And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

⁴ But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end: many shall pass by, and knowledge shall be multiplied.

⁸ And I heard, but I did not understand; then I said, O my Lord, what is the fulfillment of these things? ⁹ And he said, Go thy way, Daniel, for these words are closed up and sealed until the time of the fulfillment. ¹⁰ Many shall be purified and made white and purged, but the wicked shall get worse; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

⁹ Who is wise that he might understand this? and prudent that he might know this? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them; but the rebellious shall fall therein.

¹¹ He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heavens, but to them it is not given.

¹⁵ Therefore, when ye see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, which shall stand in the holy place (whosoever reads, let him understand),

¹ ¶ And I stood upon the sand of the sea and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon its horns ten crowns, and upon its heads the name of blasphemy.

¹⁸ Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for the number of man; and its number is six hundred sixty-six.

³ So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman seated upon a scarlet-coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

⁴⁰ And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron; and as iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things, and as iron that breaks all these things, it shall break in pieces and bruise. ⁴¹ And whereas thou didst see the feet and toes, part of baked potters’ clay and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divisive; but there shall be in it some of the strength of the iron, such as thou didst see the iron mixed with baked clay. ⁴² And as the toes of the feet were part of iron and part of baked clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly fragile. ⁴³ Concerning that which thou didst see, the iron mixed with baked clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men, but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron does not mix with clay.

⁷ After this I saw in the night visions, and behold the fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and exceedingly strong; and it had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces and trod down that which was left with its feet; and it was very different from all the beasts that had been before her; and it had ten horns. ⁸ As I was considering the horns, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots; and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking grand things.

²⁴ And the ten horns signify that of this kingdom ten kings shall arise; and another shall rise after them; and he shall be greater than the first kings, and he shall bring down three kings.

¹⁸ ¶ Then I lifted up my eyes and saw and behold four horns. ¹⁹ And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. ²⁰ And the LORD showed me four carpenters. ²¹ Then I said, What do these come to do? And he spoke, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no one lifted up his head, but these are come to cause them to tremble, to cut down the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

¹⁶ And the ten horns which thou didst see upon the beast, these shall hate the whore and shall make her desolate and naked and shall eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

¹⁰ Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city; for in one hour is thy judgment come!

¹⁷ For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster and all the company in ships and sailors and as many as trade by sea stood afar off

¹⁹ And they cast dust on their heads and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, in which all that had ships in the sea were made rich by reason of her riches! for in one hour is she made desolate.

⁵ ¶ O Assyrian, rod and staff of my anger, in thy hand have I placed my indignation. ⁶ I will send him against a hypocritical nation, and upon the people of my wrath will I send him to take spoil and to take prey and to ready them that they might be tread down like the mire of the streets. ⁷ Howbeit he shall not think like this; not even in his heart shall he imagine this way of doing things, but his thought shall be to destroy and cut off nations not a few.

¹⁰ Thus hath the Lord GOD said: It shall also come to pass in that day, that words shall rise up in thy heart, and thou shalt conceive an evil thought:

²⁸ to do that which thy hand and thy counsel had determined beforehand must be done.

²⁷ ¶ Only let your conversation be as is worthy of the gospel of Christ, that whether I come and see you or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, unanimous, working together for the faith of the gospel,

² fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same charity, unanimous, minding the one thing.

¹⁷ For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, a great God, mighty, and terrible, who makes no exception of persons, nor takes a bribe;

⁸ Ask of me, and I shall give thee the Gentiles for thine inheritance and unto the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. ⁹ Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

⁸ Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies; thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee. ⁹ Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger; the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. ¹⁰ Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth and their seed from among the children of men. ¹¹ For they intended evil against thee; they imagined a wicked device, but they did not prevail. ¹² Therefore shalt thou separate them; thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

⁵ ¶ The Lord at thy right hand shall smite the kings in the day of his wrath.

² O give thanks unto the God of gods, for his mercy endures for ever. ³ O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endures for ever.

⁵ The merciful shall be joyful with glory; they shall sing aloud upon their beds. ⁶ ¶ The high praises of God shall be in their mouth and a two-edged sword in their hand, ⁷ to execute vengeance upon the Gentiles and punishments upon the peoples, ⁸ to imprison their kings with fetters and their nobles with chains of iron, ⁹ to execute upon them the judgment written: this shall be glory for all his merciful ones. ¹⁵ By me the kings reign, and the princes decree justice. ¹⁶ By me the princes rule, and all of the governors judge the earth.

¹⁵ For, behold, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and each one shall set his seat at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem and near all its walls round about and near all the cities of Judah.

¹⁹ And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.

⁴⁴ Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan unto the strong habitation; but I will rest and will make him run from upon her; and he who shall be chosen I will appoint over her. For who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?

⁴⁴ And in the days of those kings the God of heaven shall raise up a kingdom which eternally shall never become corrupted, and this kingdom shall not be left to another people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

⁴⁷ The king answered unto Daniel and said, Certainly the God that is your God is God of gods and the Lord of the kings and the revealer of the mysteries, seeing thou could reveal this mystery.

²⁵ And he shall speak great words against the most High and shall break down the saints of the most High and think to move the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the half or dividing of a time. ²⁶ And the Judge shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion to destroy and to cast out unto the end; ²⁷ and that the kingdom and the dominion, and the majesty of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, be given to the holy people of the most High, His kingdom shall be an eternal kingdom, and all the dominions shall serve him and hear him.

⁹ Thus shall the king of the south enter into the kingdom and return to his own land. ¹⁰ But the sons of that one shall be stirred up and shall assemble a multitude of great armies and shall come in great haste, and overflow and pass through and turn and come with wrath unto his fortress. ¹¹ Therefore the king of the south shall become furious and shall come forth and fight with him even with the king of the north; and he shall put a great multitude into the field, but all that multitude shall be given into his hand. ¹² Therefore the multitude shall be filled with pride, his heart shall be lifted up, and he shall cast down many thousands, but he shall not prevail.

²⁴ With the province in peace and in abundance, he shall enter and do that which his fathers have never done, nor his fathers’ fathers; he shall distribute prey and spoil and riches to his soldiers; and against the fortresses he shall forecast his devices, even for a time. ²⁵ And he shall stir up his forces and his heart against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall move to the war with a great and mighty army, but he shall not prevail, for they shall betray him.

⁷ ¶ And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many peoples as the dew of the LORD, as the rains upon the grass, which did not expect a man, nor did they expect the sons of men. ⁸ And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many peoples as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep, who, if he goes through and treads down and tears in pieces, there are none that can escape. ⁹ Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine enemies, and all thine adversaries shall be cut off.

⁸ For thus hath the LORD of the hosts said; After the glory he shall send me unto the Gentiles which spoiled you, for he that touches you touches the apple of his eye.

¹⁴ For many are called, but few are chosen.

⁴⁰ And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brothers, ye have done it unto me.

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

¹⁶ Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it unto you.

⁴ and falling to the earth, he heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why dost thou persecute me? ⁵ And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I AM Jesus whom thou dost persecute; it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

³⁰ And unto those whom he did mark out beforehand the way, to these he also called; and to whom he called, these he also justified; and to whom he justified, these he also glorified.

³⁷ Nevertheless, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

²⁴ Then comes the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father, when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

¹⁵ who in his time shall show the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

⁴ No man that wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier.

¹ ¶ Therefore, brethren, saints, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus, ² who was faithful to him that appointed him over all his house, as also Moses was faithful.

⁹ But ye are the chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, an acquired people, that ye should show forth the virtues of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

⁵ and from Jesus, the Christ, who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins with his own blood

¹⁰ Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer; behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days; be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.

²¹ To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame and have sat down with my Father in his throne.

¹² And I saw when he had opened the sixth seal, and, behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; ¹³ and the stars of heaven fell upon the earth, even as a fig tree casts her figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. ¹⁴ And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. ¹⁵ And the kings of the earth and the princes and the rich and the captains and the strong and every slave and every free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains ¹⁶ and said to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of him that is seated upon the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb; ¹⁷ for the great day of his wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand before him?

⁶ And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound their trumpets. ⁷ ¶ The first angel sounded the trumpet, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the land; and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

¹ ¶ And I saw and, behold, the Lamb stood upon Mount Sion and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand, having the name of his Father written in their foreheads. ² And I heard a voice from heaven as the voice of many waters and as the voice of a great thunder; and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps; ³ and they sang as it were a new song before the throne and before the four animals and the elders; and no one could learn that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who were redeemed from the earth. ⁴ These are those who are not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These are redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

¹⁴ For they are spirits of demons, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

¹⁴ And the armies that are in the heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

⁴ The pain of death compassed me, and the rivers of Belial made me afraid.

⁷ He who stills the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves and the tumult of the Gentiles.

³ The rivers have lifted up, O LORD; the rivers have lifted up their voice; the rivers lift up their waves. ⁴ The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.

⁷ now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria and all his power, and he shall come up over all his channels and go over all his banks: ⁸ And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.

⁴² The sea is come up upon Babylon; she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.

⁵⁵ Because the LORD destroys Babylon and takes out of her the many thunders, her waves shall roar; like many waters shall be the sound of their voice:

¹¹ And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again as to many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.

⁹ And those of the peoples and kindreds and tongues and Gentiles shall see their dead bodies three days and a half and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

⁷ And it was given unto it to make war with the saints and to overcome them; and power was given it over all kindreds and tongues and nations. ⁸ And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship it, whose names are not written in the book of the life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world.

¹ ¶ And there came one of the seven angels who had the seven vials and talked with me, saying unto me, Come here; I will show unto thee the condemnation of the great whore that sits upon many waters,

⁹ And the daughter of the man who is a priest, if she begins to fornicate, she profanes her father; she shall be burnt with fire.

³¹ when the servants of my tent said, Oh that we had of his flesh! We would never be satisfied.

² When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

¹⁷ Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not look for silver, nor covet gold. ¹⁸ They shall shoot at the young boys with bows, and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare the sons.

⁴¹ Behold, a people comes from the north, and a great nation and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. ⁴² They shall hold the bow and the lance; they shall be cruel and will not show mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride upon horses, every one put in array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon.

³⁷ therefore, behold that I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure and all those that thou hast loved, with all those that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee and will uncover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness. ³⁸ And I will judge thee by the laws regarding women who commit adultery and those that shed blood; and I will give thee away in blood of fury and of jealousy. ³⁹ And I will deliver thee into their hand, and they shall destroy thy high place and shall break down thy altars; they shall strip thee also of thy clothes and shall take the vessels of thy glory and shall leave thee naked and bare. ⁴⁰ They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones and thrust thee through with their swords. ⁴¹ And they shall burn thine houses with fire and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women; and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more. ⁴² So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet and will no longer be angry. ⁴³ Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth but hast provoked me to anger in all this; therefore, behold I also have recompensed thy way upon thine head, said the Lord GOD; for thou hast not even thought regarding all thine abominations. ⁴⁴ ¶ Behold, every one that makes proverbs shall make this proverb regarding thee, saying: As is the mother so is her daughter.

⁴⁵ Therefore righteous men shall judge them by the law of adulteresses and after the law of women that shed blood because they are adulteresses, and blood is on their hands. ⁴⁶ For thus hath the Lord GOD said: I will bring up a company upon them and will give them to be removed and spoiled. ⁴⁷ And the company shall stone them with stones and dispatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters and burn up their houses with fire. ⁴⁸ Thus will I cause the lust to cease out of the land that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness. ⁴⁹ And they shall recompense your lust upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

⁵ And behold the second beast, like unto a bear, which went off to one side, and it had three ribs between its teeth; and thus was said unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.

¹² ¶ And the sixth angel poured out his vial into the great river Euphrates; and its water was dried up, that the way of the kings from the rising of the sun might be prepared.

¹ ¶ And there came one of the seven angels who had the seven vials and talked with me, saying unto me, Come here; I will show unto thee the condemnation of the great whore that sits upon many waters, ² with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

¹⁰ And they are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he comes, he must continue a short space.

¹² And the ten horns which thou hast seen are ten kings, which have not yet taken a kingdom, but shall take authority as kings one hour with the beast. ¹³ These have one mind and shall give their power and authority unto the beast.

⁸ Therefore, shall her plagues come in one day, death and mourning and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire; for strong is the Lord God who judges her.

¹⁶ and saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls! ¹⁷ For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster and all the company in ships and sailors and as many as trade by sea stood afar off

¹⁸ that ye may eat flesh of kings and flesh of captains, and flesh of mighty men and flesh of horses and of those that sit on them and the flesh of everyone, free and bond, both small and great.

²⁷ ¶ Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, who has put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to honour the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem,

²⁵ ¶ He turned their heart to hate his people to think evil against his slaves.

²¹ ¶ There are many thoughts in the heart of man; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD shall stand.

¹ ¶ The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water, he turns it wherever he will.

¹⁷ Israel is saved in the LORD, eternal salvation; ye shall never be ashamed nor confounded through all ages.

¹⁰ declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: ¹¹ Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executes my counsel from a far country; I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it; I will also do it.

⁶ And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my slave; and even the beasts of the field I have given him that they might serve him. ⁷ And all the Gentiles shall serve him and his son and his son’s son, until the time of his own land shall come also; and many nations and great kings shall serve him.

⁴⁰ and I will make an eternal covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good, and I will put my fear in their hearts that they shall not depart from me.

¹⁶ and thou shalt come up against my people of Israel as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be at the end of the days, and I will bring thee upon my land, that the Gentiles may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. ¹⁷ Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Art thou not he of whom I have spoken in days past by my slaves the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those times that I would have to bring thee upon them?

⁷ And I heard the Man clothed in linens, who was upon the waters of the river, who raised his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by the living one in the ages that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when the scattering of the power of the holy people shall be finished, all these things shall be fulfilled.

³ Then Satan entered into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.

²² And truly the Son of man goes as it was determined; but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!

³⁷ For I say unto you that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors; for the things written concerning me have a fulfillment.

³⁵ If he called them gods unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken),

³⁹ Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again, ⁴⁰ He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, that they should not see with their eyes nor understand with their heart and be converted, and I should heal them.

² And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him,

¹⁸ ¶ I speak not of you all; I know whom I have chosen; but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me,

²⁴ They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be; that the scripture might be fulfilled, which says, They parted my garments among them, and for my raiment they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

²⁸ After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, said, I thirst.

²⁷ For of a truth against thy holy servant Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together (in this city), ²⁸ to do that which thy hand and thy counsel had determined beforehand must be done.

¹⁶ ¶ But thanks be to God, who put the same diligence into the heart of Titus for you.

¹⁰ and with all deception of iniquity working in those that perish because they did not receive the charity of the truth, to be saved. ¹¹ Therefore, for this cause, God shall send the operation of error in them, that they should believe the lie; ¹² that they all might be condemned who did not believe the truth, but consented to the iniquity.

¹³ ¶ Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither does he tempt anyone: ¹⁴ But each one is tempted, when they are drawn away of their own lust and enticed. ¹⁵ Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin; and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death. ¹⁶ Do not err, my beloved brethren. ¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness neither shadow of turning.

¹¹ And white robes were given unto each one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little while until their fellow servants and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

⁷ but in the day of the voice of the seventh angel when he shall begin to sound the trumpet, the mystery of God shall be finished, as he did evangelize unto his slaves the prophets.

⁴⁰ And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron; and as iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things, and as iron that breaks all these things, it shall break in pieces and bruise. ⁴¹ And whereas thou didst see the feet and toes, part of baked potters’ clay and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divisive; but there shall be in it some of the strength of the iron, such as thou didst see the iron mixed with baked clay.

²³ Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be a fourth king in earth, which shall be greater than all the other kingdoms and shall devour the whole earth and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

¹ ¶ And it came to pass in those days that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.

⁴ And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth; and the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be delivered, to devour her child as soon as it was born.
