Matthew 24 Cross References - EJ2000

1 ¶ And Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the age? 4 ¶ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no one deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars; see that ye be not troubled, for it is necessary that all these things must take place; but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in different places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then they shall deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be offended and shall betray one another and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness shall abound, the charity of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come. 15 Therefore, when ye see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, which shall stand in the holy place (whosoever reads, let him understand), 16 then let those who are in Judaea flee into the mountains; 17 let him who is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house, 18 neither let him who is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And woe unto those that are with child and to those that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter neither on the sabbath day, 21 for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Behold, here is the Christ, or there, believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders in such a manner that they shall deceive, if possible, the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Therefore if they say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert, go not forth; Behold, he is in the secret chambers, believe it not. 27 For as the lightning that comes out of the east and shines even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28 For wherever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken, 30 and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with great power and glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a trumpet and a great voice, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. 32 ¶ Now learn a parable of the fig tree: When his branch is yet tender and puts forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh; 33 so likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass until all these things are fulfilled. 35 The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour no one knows, no, not even the angels of the heavens, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as they were in the days before the flood, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39 and they knew not until the flood came and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this that if the husband of the house knew in what watch the thief would come, he would watch and would not suffer his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore be ye also ready; the Son of man is to come in the hour that ye think not. 45 Who then is the faithful and prudent slave, whom his lord has made ruler over his household to give them food in due season? 46 Blessed is that slave whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing. 47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But and if that evil slave shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming, 49 and shall begin to smite his fellowslaves and even to eat and drink with the drunken, 50 the lord of that slave shall come in a day when he does not look for him and in an hour that he is not aware of 51 and shall cut him off and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Thus would they do in Shiloh to all the Israelites that went there. 15 Likewise, before they burnt the fat, the priest’s servant would come and say to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest, for he will not take cooked flesh of thee, but raw. 16 And if the man would say unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat today and then take as much as thy soul desires, then he would answer him, No, but thou shalt give it to me now, and if not, I will take it by force.

12 And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, 13 and when he prayed unto him, he was heard; for he heard his supplication and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD was God. 14 Now after this he built the wall outside the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, and at the entrance of the fish gate, and fenced Ophel and raised it up to a very great height and put captains of the army in all the fenced cities of Judah. 15 Likewise, he took away the strange gods and the idol out of the house of the LORD and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD and in Jerusalem and cast them out of the city. 16 And he repaired the altar of the LORD and sacrificed upon it sacrifices of peace and of praise and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel. 17 Nevertheless, the people still sacrificed in the high places, yet unto the LORD their God only. 18 Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God and the words of the seers that spoke to him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they are written in the acts of the kings of Israel. 19 His prayer also and how he was heard, and all his sins, and his trespass, and the places upon which he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before he humbled himself; behold, these things are written among the words of the seers. 20 So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house; and Amon, his son, reigned in his stead. 21 ¶ Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign and reigned two years in Jerusalem. 22 But he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as Manasseh his father had done, for Amon sacrificed unto all the graven images which Manasseh, his father, had made, and served them. 23 But he never humbled himself before the LORD as Manasseh, his father, humbled himself; to the contrary Amon multiplied the guilt. 24 And his slaves conspired against him and slew him in his own house.

19 ¶ My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart makes a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the shofar, the alarm of war. 20 Destruction upon destruction is cried, for the whole land is destroyed; suddenly are my tents destroyed, and my curtains in a moment. 21 How long shall I see the banner and hear the voice of the shofar? 22 For my people are foolish; the ignorant sons with no understanding have not known me; they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. 23 I beheld the earth, and, behold, it was without order, and empty; and the heavens, and they had no light. 24 I beheld the mountains, and, behold, they trembled, and all the hills were destroyed. 25 I beheld, and, behold, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens had fled. 26 I beheld, and, behold, Carmel was a wilderness, and all its cities were broken down at the presence of the LORD and by his fierce anger. 27 For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet I will not make a full end. 28 For this shall the earth be made desolate, and the heavens above be darkened because I spoke; I purposed and did not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

Ezekiel 7:7-14

7 The morning comes for thee. O thou that dwellest in the land; the time comes, the day is near, the day of trouble, and it shall not be the echo of the mountains. 8 Now I will shortly pour out my fury upon thee and accomplish my anger in thee; and I will judge thee according to thy ways and place all thine abominations upon thee. 9 And my eye shall not forgive, neither will I have mercy; I will recompense thee according to thy ways, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the LORD that smites. 10 Behold the day, behold, it comes; the morning is gone forth; the rod has blossomed; pride has budded.

49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom: pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the afflicted and needy. 50 And they filled themselves with arrogance and committed abomination before me, and when I saw it, I took them away.

Ezekiel 21:9-15

9 Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus hath the LORD said: Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished: 10 it is sharpened to slay victims; it is furbished that it may glitter; should we then make mirth? it despises the rod of my son, as every tree. 11 And he has given it to be furbished, that it may be handled; this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer. 12 Cry and howl, son of man, for it shall be upon my people; it shall be upon all the princes of Israel; fear of the sword shall be upon my people; therefore smite the thigh 13 because it shall be a trial. What shall be if it does not despise the rod? said the Lord GOD. 14 Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy and smite thine hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain; this is the sword of great slaughter that shall pierce them. 15 I have set the fear of the sword in all their gates, that their heart may faint and their ruins be multiplied; ah! it is made so that it might shine; it is prepared for the slaughter.

Ezekiel 21:27

27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it, and it shall be no more until he comes whose right it is; and I will give it unto him. 28 ¶ And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn for the slaughter; it is furbished to consume with brightness:

Ezekiel 32:7-8

7 And when thou art dead, I will cover the heavens and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light. 8 All the bright lights of heaven I will make dark because of thee and set darkness upon thy land, said the Lord GOD.

11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spoke; I beheld even until the beast was slain and its body was undone and given over to be burned in the fire. 12 They had also taken from the other beasts their rule because their lives had been prolonged until a certain time. 13 I saw in the vision of the night, and, behold, in the clouds of heaven like a Son of man that came and drew near unto the Elder of great age, and they brought him near before him.

Daniel 9:23

23 At the beginning of thy supplications, the word went forth, and I have come to teach it unto thee; for thou art a man greatly beloved: therefore understand the word, and understand the vision. 24 Seventy weeks are determined {Heb. Cut} upon thy people and upon thy holy city to finish the prevarication and to conclude the sin and to make reconciliation for iniquity and to bring in everlasting righteousness and seal the vision and the prophecy, and to anoint the Holy of Holies. 25 Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the word to cause the people to return and to build Jerusalem unto the Anointed {Heb. Messiah} Prince, there shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks, while the street shall be built again and the wall, even in troublous times.

Daniel 9:25

25 Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the word to cause the people to return and to build Jerusalem unto the Anointed {Heb. Messiah} Prince, there shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks, while the street shall be built again and the wall, even in troublous times. 26 And after the sixty-two weeks the Anointed One {Heb. Messiah} shall be killed and shall have nothing: (and the ruling people that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; whose end shall be as a flood, until at the end of the war it shall be cut off with desolation).

Daniel 9:26

26 And after the sixty-two weeks the Anointed One {Heb. Messiah} shall be killed and shall have nothing: (and the ruling people that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; whose end shall be as a flood, until at the end of the war it shall be cut off with desolation). 27 In one week (they are now seventy) he shall confirm the covenant by many: and at the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and because of the many abominations, desolation shall come, even until complete destruction shall be poured out upon the abominable people.

Daniel 9:27

27 In one week (they are now seventy) he shall confirm the covenant by many: and at the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and because of the many abominations, desolation shall come, even until complete destruction shall be poured out upon the abominable people.

Daniel 10:12-14

12 And he said unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst give thy heart to understand and to afflict thy soul before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come because of thy words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days: and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. 14 Now I am come to make thee know what shall befall thy people in the latter days, for there shall still be vision for several days.

Daniel 11:1-45

1 ¶ And in the first year of Darius the Mede, I stood to encourage and to strengthen him. 2 And now will I show thee the truth. Behold, there shall yet be three kings in Persia, and the fourth shall obtain far greater riches than they all; and by his strengthening himself with his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia. 3 And a valiant king shall stand up, that shall rule over a great dominion and do according to his will. 4 But when he is reigning, his kingdom shall be broken and shall be divided by the four winds of heaven, and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion by which he ruled; for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those. 5 ¶ And the king of the south, {this Hebrew word is identified with the people of God}, and of his principalities, shall make himself strong; and he shall exceed him and make himself powerful; his dominion shall be a great dominion. 6 But at the end of some years they shall join themselves together; for the king’s daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement, but she shall not retain the power of the arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm; for she shall be given up and those that brought her and he that begat her, and those that were for her in this time. 7 But of the new shoot from her roots shall one stand up upon his throne and shall come unto the army and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north and do in them according to his will and shall prevail: 8 and even their gods, with their princes, with their precious vessels of silver and of gold, shall be taken captive in Egypt; and for some years he shall maintain himself against the king of the north. 9 Thus shall the king of the south enter into the kingdom and return to his own land. 10 But the sons of that one shall be stirred up and shall assemble a multitude of great armies and shall come in great haste, and overflow and pass through and turn and come with wrath unto his fortress. 11 Therefore the king of the south shall become furious and shall come forth and fight with him even with the king of the north; and he shall put a great multitude into the field, but all that multitude shall be given into his hand. 12 Therefore the multitude shall be filled with pride, his heart shall be lifted up, and he shall cast down many thousands, but he shall not prevail. 13 And the king of the north shall put another multitude greater than the former in the field and at the end of a time of some years shall come in great haste with a great army and with much riches. 14 But in those times many shall stand up against the king of the south, and sons of robbers of thy people shall raise themselves up to establish the vision, but they shall fall. 15 So the king of the north shall come and cast up a mount and shall take the strong cities, and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any fortress that can withstand. 16 And he that comes against him shall do according to his own will, and there shall be no one that can stand before him, and he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed. 17 He shall then set his face to come with the strength of his whole kingdom and shall do upright things with him, and he shall give him a daughter of his women to persuade her, but she shall not stand, neither be for him. 18 After this he shall turn his face unto the isles and shall take many, but a prince shall cause him to cease his affront and shall even turn his reproach upon him. 19 Then he shall turn his face toward the fortresses of his own land, but he shall stumble and fall and not appear again. 20 Then shall succeed in his throne a taker of taxes who shall be the glory of the kingdom, but within few days he shall be broken, neither in anger, nor in battle. 21 ¶ And a vile person shall succeed in his place, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: nevertheless he shall come in with peace and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. 22 And with the arms they shall be overflown of a flood before him and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant. 23 And after the union made with him he shall work deceit and shall rise and shall overcome with few people. 24 With the province in peace and in abundance, he shall enter and do that which his fathers have never done, nor his fathers’ fathers; he shall distribute prey and spoil and riches to his soldiers; and against the fortresses he shall forecast his devices, even for a time. 25 And he shall stir up his forces and his heart against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall move to the war with a great and mighty army, but he shall not prevail, for they shall betray him. 26 Even those that ate his bread shall break him, and his army shall be destroyed; and many shall fall down slain. 27 And the heart of both these kings shall be to do evil, and at the same table they shall speak lies; but it shall not prosper, for the time appointed is not yet come. 28 Then he shall return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits and return to his own land. 29 At the time appointed he shall turn toward the south, but the latter coming shall not be as the former. 30 For the ships of Chittim shall come against him; therefore he shall be grieved and return and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return and have an understanding with those that have forsaken the holy covenant. 31 And arms shall be placed on his behalf, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that makes desolate.

Mark 13:10-13

10 And the gospel needs to be preached unto all the Gentiles first. 11 But when they shall bring you to deliver you up, do not premeditate beforehand what ye shall speak, neither think ye regarding it, but whatever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye, for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.

Mark 13:11-13

11 But when they shall bring you to deliver you up, do not premeditate beforehand what ye shall speak, neither think ye regarding it, but whatever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye, for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit. 12 Now the brother shall deliver the brother unto death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents and shall kill them.

Mark 13:14

14 ¶ But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation (spoken of by Daniel the prophet) standing where it ought not, he that reads, let him understand, then let those that are in Judaea flee to the mountains; 15 and let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein to take any thing out of his house;

Mark 13:15-16

15 and let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein to take any thing out of his house; 16 and let him that is in the field not turn back again even to take up his garment.

Mark 13:16-16

16 and let him that is in the field not turn back again even to take up his garment. 17 But woe to those that are with child and to those that give suck in those days!

Mark 13:17-18

17 But woe to those that are with child and to those that give suck in those days! 18 Pray, therefore, that your flight not be in winter.

Mark 13:18-18

18 Pray, therefore, that your flight not be in winter. 19 For those days shall be of affliction such as never was from the beginning of the creation of the things which God created unto this time, neither shall be. 20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved, but for the elect’s sake, whom he has chosen, he has shortened those days.

Mark 13:20

20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved, but for the elect’s sake, whom he has chosen, he has shortened those days. 21 And then if anyone should say to you, Behold, here is the Christ, or, Behold, he is there, do not believe him;

Mark 13:21

21 And then if anyone should say to you, Behold, here is the Christ, or, Behold, he is there, do not believe him; 22 for false Christs and false prophets shall rise and shall show signs and wonders to seduce, if possible, even the elect.

Mark 13:22

22 for false Christs and false prophets shall rise and shall show signs and wonders to seduce, if possible, even the elect. 23 But take ye heed; behold, I have told you everything beforehand. 24 ¶ But in those days after that affliction, the sun shall darken, and the moon shall not give her light,

Mark 13:24-25

24 ¶ But in those days after that affliction, the sun shall darken, and the moon shall not give her light, 25 and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens shall be shaken.

25 and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens shall be shaken. 26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

27 And then shall he send his angels and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth unto the uttermost part of the heaven. 28 ¶ Learn the similitude from the fig tree: When her branch is yet tender and puts forth leaves, ye know that summer is near;

Mark 13:28-29

28 ¶ Learn the similitude from the fig tree: When her branch is yet tender and puts forth leaves, ye know that summer is near; 29 so ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is near, even at the doors.

Mark 13:29-29

29 so ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is near, even at the doors. 30 Verily I say unto you that this generation shall not pass until all these things are done.

Mark 13:30-31

30 Verily I say unto you that this generation shall not pass until all these things are done. 31 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Mark 13:31-31

31 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 32 But of that day and that hour no one knows, no, not even the angels who are in the heaven, neither the Son, but only the Father.

Mark 13:32

32 But of that day and that hour no one knows, no, not even the angels who are in the heaven, neither the Son, but only the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray; for ye know not when the time shall be. 34 As the man who, taking a far journey, left his house and gave his estate to his slaves and to each one his responsibility and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore, for ye know not when the Lord of the house comes: at evening or at midnight or at the cockcrowing or in the morning, 36 lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you, I say unto all: Watch.

Mark 14:62-64

62 And Jesus said unto him, I AM, and ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of the power of God and coming in the clouds of the heaven. 63 Then the high priest rent his clothes and said, What need have we any more for witnesses? 64 Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believes and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believes not shall be condemned.

Luke 12:37

37 Blessed are those slaves, whom the lord when he comes shall find watching; verily I say unto you that he shall gird himself and make them to sit down to food and will come forth and serve them. 38 And if he shall come in the second watch or come in the third watch and find them so, blessed are those slaves. 39 And know this: that if the husband of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

Luke 12:39

39 And know this: that if the husband of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not have suffered his house to be broken through. 40 Be ye therefore ready also; for the Son of man comes at an hour when ye think not.

Luke 12:40

40 Be ye therefore ready also; for the Son of man comes at an hour when ye think not. 41 ¶ Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us or even to all? 42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward whom his lord shall make ruler over his household to give them their portion of food in due season? 43 Blessed is that slave whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing.

Luke 12:43

43 Blessed is that slave whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing. 44 Of a truth I say unto you that he will make him ruler over all that he has. 45 But and if that slave shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming, and shall begin to beat the menslaves and maids and to eat and drink and to be drunken, 46 the lord of that slave will come in a day when he does not look for him and at an hour when he is not aware and will cut him off and will appoint him his portion with the unfaithful.

Luke 17:23-24

23 And they shall say to you, Behold it here, or, Behold it there; do not go, nor follow them. 24 For as the lightning, which shines from the region under heaven, shines in that which is under heaven; so also shall the Son of man be in his day.

(Then were the days of unleavened bread.) 4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him, intending after the Passover to bring him forth to the people. 5 ¶ Peter therefore was kept in the prison, and the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} made prayer without unto God for him.

Romans 2:7

7 to those who persevered in well doing, glory and honour and incorruption, to those who seek eternal life;

Romans 8:28-39

28 And we now know that unto those who love God, all things help them unto good, to those who according to the purpose are called to be saints. 29 ¶ For unto those whom he knew beforehand, he also marked out beforehand the way that they might be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 And unto those whom he did mark out beforehand the way, to these he also called; and to whom he called, these he also justified; and to whom he justified, these he also glorified. 31 ¶ What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who shall be against us? 32 He that did not spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also give us all things with him? 33 Who shall accuse the chosen of God’s? God is he that justifies them. 34 Who is he that condemns them? Christ, Jesus, is he who died and, even more, he that also rose again, who furthermore is at the right hand of God, who also makes entreaty for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the charity of Christ? shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? 36 (As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.) 37 Nevertheless, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 Therefore I am certain that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come 39 nor height nor depth nor any creature shall be able to separate us from the charity of God, which is in Christ, Jesus our Lord.

25 For I would not, brethren, that ye ignore this mystery, that ye not be arrogant regarding yourselves: that blindness in part has happened in Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles are come in. 26 And even if all Israel were saved, as it is written: There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall take away the ungodliness from Jacob; 27 and this shall be my covenant unto them when I shall take away their sins. 28 So that, as concerning the gospel, I have them for enemies for your sakes; but as touching the election of God, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. 30 For as ye in time past have not obeyed God, yet have now obtained mercy through the occasion of their disobedience, 31 likewise these also have not believed now that through the mercy shown unto you they also may obtain mercy.

Romans 15:18-21

18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not wrought by me, unto the obedience of the Gentiles, with word and with deed, 19 with power of signs and wonders, in virtue of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem and round about unto Illyricum, I have filled the entire area with the gospel of the Christ. 20 And in this manner I preached this gospel, not where Christ had been named previously, not to build upon a foundation belonging to another, 21 but, as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see, and those that have not heard shall understand.

1 Corinthians 3:1-2

1 Corinthians 4:1-2

1 ¶ Let us reckon men as ministers of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover, it is required in stewards that each one be found faithful.

1 Corinthians 7:29-31

29 But this I say, brothers, the time is short; for the rest, let those that have wives be as though they had none; 30 and those that weep, as though they wept not; and those that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and those that buy, as though they possessed not; 31 and those that use this world, as not using it as their own, for the fashion of this world passes away.

52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised without corruption, and we shall be changed.

1 Corinthians 16:13

13 ¶ Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

13 For these false apostles are deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And it is no marvel, for Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers transform themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works.

2 Corinthians 11:20

20 For ye suffer it if anyone brings you into bondage, if anyone devours you, if anyone takes of you, if anyone exalts himself, if anyone smites you on the face.

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers, 12 for the perfecting of the saints in the work of the ministry, unto the edifying of the body of the Christ 13 until we all come forth in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the coming of age of the Christ: 14 That we no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men and cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive,

1 Thessalonians 2:14-16

14 For ye, brethren, have been imitators in Christ Jesus of the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of God which are in Judaea, for ye also have suffered like things of your own nation, even as they have of the Jews, 15 who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets and have persecuted us, and they do not please God and are contrary to all men, 16 forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up the measure of their sins always, for the wrath of God has come upon them to the uttermost.

1 Thessalonians 2:16

16 forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up the measure of their sins always, for the wrath of God has come upon them to the uttermost.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-6

4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should take you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the sons of light, and the sons of the day; we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

1 Thessalonians 5:6-6

6 ¶ Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those that sleep in the night, and those that are drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and charity, and for a helmet, the hope of saving health. 9 For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain saving health by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we watch or sleep, we should live together with him. 11 ¶ Therefore comfort and edify one another, even as ye do.

Hebrews 10:26-29

26 For if we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful hope of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised the law of Moses died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much greater punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden underfoot the Son of God and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

From here that is to say, of your lusts which fight in your members? 2 Ye covet and have not; ye murder, and have envy and cannot obtain; ye fight and war and have not that which ye desire because ye ask not. 3 Ye ask and receive not because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your pleasures. 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore that desires to be a friend of the world, makes himself the enemy of God.

James 5:1-6

1 ¶ Come now, Oh ye rich, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. 2 Your riches are rotten, and your garments are motheaten. 3 Your gold and silver is corrupted with rust; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you and shall completely eat your flesh, as fire. 1 ¶ But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who covertly shall bring in destructive sects and shall deny the Lord that bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways, by reason of whom the way of truth shall be blasphemed; 3 ¶ and in covetousness they shall make merchandise of you with feigned words, upon whom the condemnation from a long time ago does not delay, and their perdition does not sleep.

7 ¶ and delivered just Lot, who was persecuted by those abominable people because of their nefarious conversation; 8 (for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, afflicted his righteous soul from day to day with the deeds of those unjust people); 9 the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished;

13 receiving the reward of their unrighteousness, as those that count it pleasure to live luxuriously every day. These are spots and blemishes, who eat together with you, while at the same time they revel in their deceit, 14 having their eyes full of adultery, and not knowing how to cease from sin, baiting unstable souls, having their heart exercised in covetous practices; cursed sons,

4 and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the day in which the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 Of course, they willingly ignore that the heavens were created of old and the earth standing out of the water and in the water, by the word of God;

2 Peter 3:5-5

5 Of course, they willingly ignore that the heavens were created of old and the earth standing out of the water and in the water, by the word of God; 6 by which the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished; 7 but the heavens, which are now, and the earth are conserved by the same word, kept unto the fire in the day of judgment and of perdition of the ungodly men. 8 ¶ But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day before the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years are as one day. 9 ¶ The Lord is not late concerning his promise, as some count lateness, but is patient with us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements, burning, shall be dissolved, and the earth and the works that are in it shall be burned up.

2 Peter 3:10-12

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements, burning, shall be dissolved, and the earth and the works that are in it shall be burned up. 11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

2 Peter 3:11-12

11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
