²¹ For as the Father raises up the dead and gives them life; even so the Son gives life unto whom he will.

³⁹ ¶ See now that I, I am he, and there are no gods with me; I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; and there is not one that can deliver out of my hand.

⁷ And when the king of Israel read the letter, he rent his clothes and said, Am I God, to kill and to give life, that this man sends unto me to remove the leprosy of this man? Therefore now consider and see how he seeks a quarrel against me.

¹⁴ And he came and touched the bier, and those that bore him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. ¹⁵ And he that was dead sat up and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

⁵⁴ And he put them all out and took her by the hand and called, saying, Maid, arise. ⁵⁵ Then her spirit returned, and she arose straightway, and he commanded to give her food.

²⁵ Jesus said unto her, I AM the resurrection and the life; he that believes in me, though he is dead, yet shall he live;

⁴³ And having said these things, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. ⁴⁴ Then he that had been dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus said unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

² as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

⁸ Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you that God should raise the dead?

¹⁷ ¶ as it is written, As a father of many Gentiles have I placed thee before God, whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which are not as those that are. ¹⁸ Who believed to wait against all hope, that he might become the father of many Gentiles, according to that which had been spoken unto him, So shall thy seed be. ¹⁹ And he did not weaken in faith: he considered not his own body now dead when he was about one hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb;

¹¹ And if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up the Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.
