¹⁹ He shall deliver thee in six tribulations, and in the seventh no evil shall touch thee.

¹⁹ Koph Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD shall deliver him out of them all,

³ Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler and from the mortal pestilence. ⁴ He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings thou shalt be secure: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. ⁵ Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day, ⁶ nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. ⁷ Thousands shall fall at thy side and ten thousands at thy right hand, but it shall not come near thee. ⁸ Surely with thine eyes thou shalt behold and see the reward of the wicked. ⁹ ¶ Because thou hast made the LORD, who is my hope, even the most High, thy habitation, ¹⁰ no evil shall befall thee, neither shall any plague come near thy dwelling.

¹⁶ For a just man falls seven times and rises up again, but the wicked shall fall into evil.

¹³ No temptation has taken you but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

⁸ Because, brothers, we would not have you ignore our tribulation which was done unto us in Asia, that we were burdened beyond our strength, in such a manner that we despaired even of life:

⁹ the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished;
