¹² But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?

⁹ Give, therefore, thy slave a hearing heart to judge thy people that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this thy so great a people?

²⁰ ¶ Where then does wisdom come from? And where is the place of understanding?

²⁸ And unto man he said, Behold, that the fear of the Lord, is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

⁶ Behold, thou dost desire truth in the inward parts, and in the secret things thou hast made me to know wisdom.

⁴ if thou seekest her as silver and searchest for her as for hid treasures, ⁵ then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. ⁶ For the LORD gives wisdom; out of his mouth comes knowledge and intelligence.

¹⁹ The LORD by wisdom has founded the earth; by intelligence has he established the heavens.

²³ ¶ All this I have proved by wisdom: I said, I will be wise, but it was far from me. ²⁴ That which has been is far off and that which is exceeding deep, who can find it out? ²⁵ I applied my heart to know and to search and to seek out wisdom and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly and the madness of error;

¹⁹ For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. ²⁰ Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the philosopher of this world? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

³ in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

⁵ And if any of you lacks wisdom, let them ask of God (who gives abundantly to all, and without reproach), and it shall be given them.

¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness neither shadow of turning.
