³ Israel has cast off the good; the enemy shall pursue him.

³⁶ And upon those that are left alive of you I will send such cowardice into their hearts in the lands of their enemies, that the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursue.

²⁵ The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies; thou shalt go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them and shalt be an object of trembling unto all the kingdoms of the earth.

³ The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit; he has left off to be wise and to do good.

¹⁰ I am the LORD thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt; open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. ¹¹ But my people did not hearken to my voice, and Israel did not love me.
