⁴ But flesh with the soul (or life) thereof, which is its blood, ye shall not eat.

¹⁷ It shall be a perpetual statute for your ages; throughout all your dwellings that ye shall eat no fat and no blood.

²⁶ Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it is of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings.

¹⁰ ¶ And any man of the house of Israel or of the strangers that sojourn among you that eats any blood at all, I will set my face against that person that eats blood and will cut them off from among his people. ¹¹ For the soul (or life) of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you to reconcile your persons (or souls) upon the altar; therefore the same blood reconciles the person. ¹² Therefore I have said unto the sons of Israel: No person of you shall eat blood; neither shall any stranger that sojourns among you eat blood. ¹³ And any man of the sons of Israel or of the strangers that sojourn among you who hunts and catches any beast or fowl that may be eaten, he shall pour out its blood and cover it with dust. ¹⁴ For the soul of all flesh, its life, is in its blood; therefore, I have said unto the sons of Israel, Ye shall not eat the blood of any flesh, for the soul (or the life) of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.

²⁶ Ye shall not eat any thing with blood. Ye shall not be fortunetellers, nor diviners.

¹⁶ Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.

²³ Only be sure not to eat the blood; for the blood is the soul (or the life), and thou art not to eat the soul with its flesh.

²¹ Ye shall not eat of any thing that died of itself; thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates that he may eat it, or thou may sell it unto an alien; for thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not cook a kid in his mother’s milk.

²³ Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.

³³ Then they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin against the LORD in that they eat with the blood. And he said, Ye have transgressed; roll a great stone unto me this day. ³⁴ And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people and tell each one to bring his ox and his sheep here unto me and slay them here and eat and do not sin against the LORD in eating with the blood. And of all the people, each one brought his ox with him that night and slew them there.

²⁰ but that we write unto them that they abstain from pollutions of idols and from fornication and from things strangled and from blood.

²⁵ it seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

²⁹ that ye abstain from foods offered to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication; from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

⁴ For everything that God created is good, and nothing is to be refused, if it is received with thanksgiving,
