²⁷ TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances and art found wanting.

⁶ let me be weighed in a just balance, that God may know my integrity.

⁹ Surely the sons of Adam are vanity, and the sons of nobles are a lie; to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

³⁰ Reprobate silver shall men call them because the LORD has rejected them.

¹⁸ Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross; they are all brass and tin and iron and lead in the midst of the furnace; they are become the dross of silver. ¹⁹ Therefore thus hath the Lord GOD said: Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. ²⁰ As they gather silver and brass and iron and lead and tin into the midst of the furnace to blow the fire upon it to melt it, so will I gather you in my anger and in my fury, and I will cause you to rest, and melt you.

¹¹ And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who did not have on a wedding garment, ¹² and he said unto him, Friend, how didst thou come in here not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

¹³ the work of each one shall be made manifest, for the day shall declare it because it shall be revealed by fire; the work of each one, whatever sort it is, the fire shall put it to test.
