²⁴ Then Zedekiah, the son of Chenaanah, went near and smote Micaiah on the cheek and said, Which way did the Spirit of the LORD go from me to speak unto thee?

¹¹ And Zedekiah, the son of Chenaanah, made himself horns of iron, and he said, Thus hath the LORD said, With these shalt thou push the Syrians until thou have consumed them.

²³ Then Zedekiah, the son of Chenaanah, came near and smote Micaiah upon the cheek and said, Which way did the Spirit of the LORD depart from me to speak unto thee? ²⁴ And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day when thou shalt go from chamber to chamber to hide thyself.

⁵ The Lord GOD has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back. ⁶ I gave my back to the smiters and my cheeks to those that plucked off the hair: I did not hide my face from shame and spitting.

¹⁹ And they smote him on the head with a reed and spit upon him and bowing their knees worshipped him. ²⁰ And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him and put his own clothes on him and led him out to crucify him.

¹⁸ ¶ If the world hates you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

²⁰ Remember the word that I said unto you, The slave is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also.
