⁴ Our fathers confided in you - they confided and you slipped them away:

⁶ And he trusts in Yah Veh; and he fabricates it to himself for justness.

⁹ And Yaaqov says, O Elohim of my father Abraham and Elohim of my father Yischaq, Yah Veh who says to me, Return to your land and to your kindred and I well-please you: ¹⁰ I am less than the least of all the mercies and of all the truth, you worked to your servant; for with my staff I passed over this Yarden; and now I become two camps: ¹¹ rescue me, I beseech you, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esav: for I awe him, lest he comes and smites me and the mother with the sons. ¹² And you - you say, In well-pleasing, I well-please you and set your seed as the sand of the sea which cannot be scribed for abundance.

²⁸ And he says, Your name is said no more Yaaqov, but Yisra El: for you prevail with Elohim and with men - and prevail.

¹³ And Mosheh says to the people, Awe not! Stand still and see the salvation of Yah Veh which he works to you today: for the Misrayim whom you see today, you see them never again any more eternally: ¹⁴ Yah Veh fights for you - and you hush.

³¹ and Yisra El sees the great hand Yah Veh worked on the Misrayim: and the people awe Yah Veh and trust Yah Veh and his servant Mosheh.

⁹ And Shemu El takes one milking lamb and holocausts a holocaust totally to Yah Veh: and Shemu El cries to Yah Veh for Yisra El; and Yah Veh answers him. ¹⁰ And as Shemu El holocausts the holocaust, the Peleshethiy draw near to war against Yisra El: but on that day Yah Veh thunders with a great voice on the Peleshethiy; and agitates them and smites them at the face of Yisra El. ¹¹ And the men of Yisra El go from Mispeh and pursue the Peleshethiy and smite them until they come under Beth Kar. ¹² And Shemu El takes one stone and sets it between Mispeh and Shen and calls the name of it Eben Ezer, saying, Hitherto Yah Veh helps us.

¹ To His Eminence; For the sons of Qorach: On Comprehension. We heard with our ears, O Elohim, our fathers scribed to us, the deeds you did in their days - in the former days: ² how you dispossessed the goyim with your hand and planted them; how you vilified the nations and sent them out. ³ For they neither possessed the land by their own sword, nor by their own arm were they saved; but by your right and your arm and the light of your face: because you had pleasure in them. ⁴ You are my Sovereign, O Elohim. Misvah salvations for Yaaqov. ⁵ Through you we push down our tribulators; through your name we trample them who rise against us. ⁶ For I confide neither in my bow, nor my sword to save me. ⁷ For you saved us from our tribulators and shamed them who hate us.
