¹¹ and you growl at the finality when your flesh and your meat finish off, ¹² and say, How I hated discipline and my heart scorned reproof:

²² His own perversities capture the wicked - upheld by the cords of his own sins: ²³ he dies without discipline; and in the greatness of his folly he errs inadvertently.

¹ Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge; and whoever hates reproof is stupid.

³² he who avoids discipline spurns his own soul: and he who hears reproof gets heart.

² The terror of a sovereign is as a growling whelp; whoever enrages him sins against his own soul.

⁶ The deeds of treasures by a false tongue is a vanity dispersed by them who seek death.
