MEN OF EPHRAYIM FEEL SLIGHTED
And the men of Ephrayim say to him, In working, why work you this word, to not call us, when you go to fight with the Midyaniy? - and they strongly contend with him. ² And he says to them, What work I now compared to you? Is not the gleaning of Ephrayim better than the crop of Abi Ezer? ³ Elohim gave into your hands the governors of Midyaniy, Oreb and Zeeb: and what can I work compared to you? - and he words that word, and they slacken their spirit toward him.

THE EPHRAYIM FEEL SLIGHTED
And they summon the men of Ephrayim; and they pass over northward and say to Yiphtach, Why pass you over to fight the sons of Ammon and call not us to go with you? We burn your house on you with fire! ² And Yiphtach says to them, I became a man of mighty strife - I and my people with the sons of Ammon; and when I cried to you, you saved me not from their hands; ³ and when I saw you saved me not, I set my soul in my palms and passed over against the sons of Ammon; and Yah Veh gives them into my hand. Why then ascend you to me this day, to fight me? ⁴
JUDGE YIPHTACH FIGHTS EPHRAYIM
Then Yiphtach gathers all the men of Gilad and fights Ephrayim: and the men of Gilad smite Ephrayim, because they say, You Giladiy are escapees of Ephrayim among the Ephrayimiy and among the Menash Shiy. ⁵ And the Giladiy capture the passages of Yarden in front of the Ephrayimiy: and so be it, when those Ephrayimiy escapees say, Let me pass over! that the men of Gilad say to him, Are you an Ephrayim? If he says, No! ⁶ then they say to him, Say now Shibboleth: and he says Sibboleth: for he prepares not to word right: and they hold him and slaughter him at the passages of Yarden: and there falls at that time of the Ephrayimiy forty-two thousand.

¹⁰ And the children who grew up with him word to him, saying, Say thus to this people who word to you, saying, Your father made our yoke heavy, but swiften it to us - word to them thus, My pinky is thicker than the loins of my father! ¹¹ And now, whereas my father loaded you with a heavy yoke, I add to your yoke: my father disciplined you with whips; and I - I discipline you with scorpions.

THE SOVEREIGNDOM DIVIDED
And all Yisra El sees that the sovereign hearkens not to them, and the people return word to the sovereign, saying, What allotment have we in David? Yes, there is no inheritance in the son of Yishay: to your tents, O Yisra El! Now see to your own house, O David. - and Yisra El goes to their tents.

¹⁰ in smiting, you smote Edom and your heart lifts you: be honored and settle at your house: for why coax you to evil only, to fall - you and Yah Hudah with you?

¹⁵ The way of a fool is straight in his own eyes; and he who hearkens to counsel is wise. ¹⁶ The vexation of a fool is known in a day; and the subtle cover abasement.

¹⁴ The beginning of strife is as a bursting of water leave off contention ere it faces a quarrel.

²⁰ Hear counsel and take discipline, that you finally enwisen.

¹⁸ Every fabrication is established by counsel; and with counsels, work war.

²⁴ Proud, arrogant: scorner is his name, who works the fury of arrogance.

⁸ Go not forth hastily to strive, What work you when your friend finally shames you?

THE TOWER
For who of you, who wills to build a tower, indeed sits not down first and computes the expense, whether he has enough for the finishing? ²⁹ Lest ever, after he places the foundation and is not able to fully complete, all who observe begin to mock him, ³⁰ wording, This human began to build, and is not able to fully complete/shalam. ³¹
TREATY OF SHALOM
Or what sovereign, going to encounter war against another sovereign, indeed sits not down first, and counsels whether he is able by ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? ³² But if not, while the other is yet afar off, he apostolizes a presbytry and asks for shalom.

THE MINISTRY OF TABLES
And in these days, as the number of the disciples multiplies, there becomes a murmuring of the Hellenists against the Hebrews, because they overlook the widows in the daily ministry. ² And the twelve call the multitude of the disciples to them, and say, It is not pleasing to leave the word of Elohim, and minister tables: ³ so, brothers, scope out seven men of witness full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom to seat over this need: ⁴ but we continue in prayer and to the ministry of the word. ⁵ And the word pleases in sight of the whole multitude: and they select Stephanos, a man full of trust and of the Holy Spirit, and Philippos and Prochorus and Nicanor and Timon and Parmenas and Nicolas a proselyte - an Antiochan:

⁴ he is inflated, knowing naught; but is diseased about questions and logomachy; whereof becomes envy, contention, blasphemies, evil surmisings,

¹⁴ But if you have bitter zeal and strife in your hearts, neither exult nor lie against the truth. ¹⁵ - this wisdom descends not from above but is earthly, soulical, demonic. ¹⁶ For where there are zeal and strife, there are instability and every evil matter.

SUBJUGATING AND RESISTING
\ul0 Whence are wars and strifes among you? Are they not from your pleasures warring in your members?

⁵ Or think you that the scripture words in vain, The spirit dwelling in us yearns to envy? ⁶ But he gives greater charism. So he words, Elohim opposes the proud and gives charism to the humble.

⁹ I scribed to the ecclesia: but Diotrephes, who befriends preeminence among them, receives us not. ¹⁰ So, whenever I come, I remember the works he does, babbling against us with evil words: and not satisfied by these he himself receives not the brothers and forbids them who so will - and casts them from the ecclesia.
