HOLY CONVOCATIONS TO YAH VEH
And on the tenth of this seventh month, have a holy convocation and humble your souls: work no work:

And this becomes an eternal statute to you: in the seventh month, on the tenth of the month, humble your souls and work no work, whether native or sojourner sojourning among you: ³⁰ for on that day he kapars/atones for you, to purify you, you purify from all your sins at the face of Yah Veh. ³¹ It is a shabbath - a shabbathism to you to humble your souls - an eternal statute.

SEASON OF YOM KIPPURIM

Behold, in the day of your fast you find delight, and exact all your contortions. ⁴ Behold, you fast for strife and strive and to smite with the fist of wickedness: you fast not as this day, so that your voice is heard on high. ⁵ Is this such a fast as I chose? A day for humanity to humble his soul? To bow the head as a bulrush and to spread saq and ashes? Call you this a fast - a day of pleasure to Yah Veh?

⁹ And much time being past, and sailing already being dangerous, because of the fast already being past, Paulos advises them,

⁶ Knowing this, that our old humanity is co-staked to inactivate the body of sin so that we no longer serve sin.

²⁷ but I subdue my body and bring it to servitude: lest somehow, having preached to others, I myself become disapproved.

⁹ Now I cheer - not that you were sorrowed; but that you sorrowed to repentance: for you sorrowed toward Elohim so that you have no loss by us. ¹⁰ For sorrow toward Elohim works repentance to salvation - unrequitable: but the sorrow of the cosmos works death. ¹¹ For behold this, that you sorrowed toward Elohim, how much diligence it worked in you rather, pleading; yes, rather indignation; yes, rather awe; yes, rather yearning; yes, rather zeal; yes, rather vengeance. In all these you commend yourselves to be hallowed in this matter.

⁸ approach Elohim and he approaches you; purify your hands, sinners; and hallow your hearts, double souled; ⁹ be miserable and mourn and weep; overturn your laughter to mourning and your cheer to sadness; ¹⁰ humble yourselves in the sight of Yah Veh and he exalts you.
