¹⁵ so that my soul chooses strangling and death rather than my bones.

¹⁸ Why becomes my pain perpetual and my wound incurable - refusing to be healed? - altogether to me as a liar, and as waters not trustworthy?

¹⁸ Why came I forth from the womb - to see toil and grief? To finish off my days with shame?

³ and now, O Yah Veh, I beseech you, take my soul from me; for it is better for me to die than to live.

⁸ and so be it, when the sun rises, Elohim numbers a vehement east wind; and the sun smites on the head of Yonah so that he languishes; and asks of his soul to die, and says, It is better for me to die than to live. ⁹ And Elohim says to Yonah, Is your inflaming over the gourd well-pleasing? And he says, My inflaming is well-pleasing - even to death.

¹⁵ Yah Veh turns aside your judgments; he faces your enemy: the sovereign of Yisra El, Yah Veh, is midst you: you see no evil any more.

²⁰ according to my intense anticipation and hope, that I be ashamed in naught, but that in all boldness, as always, thus now also Messiah is magnified in my body, - whether through life - whether through death. ²¹ For to me, to live is Messiah; and to die is gain. ²² And if to live in flesh, this is the fruit of my work: still I know not what to choose. ²³ For I am overtaken by two, having a panting to depart and to be with Messiah; which is rather much better: ²⁴ and to abide in the flesh is necessary for you.

⁴ and endurance have a work of completion/shalom so that you are complete/at shalom and whole - lacking naught.
