THE THREE FRIENDS OF IYOB
And the three friends of Iyob hear of all this evil coming upon him, and each man comes from his own place; Eli Phaz the Temaniy and Bildad the Shuachiy and Sophar the Naamahiy; for they come to congregate together to wag with him and to sigh with him. ¹² And they lift their eyes afar off and recognize him not, and they lift their voice and weep; and each man rips his mantle and sprinkles dust on his head toward the heavens: ¹³ and they settle with him on the ground seven days and seven nights - and no one words a word to him; for they see the pain is mighty great.

¹⁵ My brothers cover up as a wadi and as the reservoir of wadies, they pass away;

⁴ and yet, you are patchers of falsehoods, you all - worthless healers.

¹¹ my lovers and my friends stand against my plague; my neighbours stand afar off:

⁹ Surely sons of humanity are vanity and sons of men a lie; they ascend in the balance - altogether vain.

⁷ All the brothers hate the impoverished; how much more, his companions far from him. he pursues them with sayings; yet they are not.

²² Cease you from humanity, whose breath is in his nostrils: for - wherein is he fabricated?

⁵ Thus says Yah Veh; Cursed be the mighty who confide in humanity; who set flesh as his arm; who turns his heart from Yah Veh. ⁶ And he becomes as the naked in the plain, and sees not when good comes; and tabernacles in the scorches in the wilderness - in a salt land, not settled.

⁹ We heal Babel, and she heals not: forsake her; and go every man into his own land: for her judgment touches to the heavens, - lifts to the vapours.

³¹ Then Yah Shua words to them, All you scandalize in me this night: for it is scribed, I smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the shepherddom scatter:

⁵⁶ - but all this becomes to fulfill/shalam the scriptures of the prophets. - then all the disciples forsake him, and flee.

¹⁶ In my first pleading no one convened with me, but all forsook me: so be it not reckoned to them.

SOVEREIGNS WEEP OVER THE FALL OF BABEL
And the sovereigns of the earth who whored and luxuriated with her, weep for her and chop over her when they see the smoke of her firing, ¹⁰ standing from afar for the awe of her torture, wording, Woe! Woe that megalopolis Babel! - that mighty city! because in one hour is your judgment iis come.

¹⁷ Because in one hour so vast riches are desolated.
PILOTS, PASSENGERS, AND SAILERS CRY OVER THE FALL OF BABEL
And every pilot and all the homogeneous crowd in sailers and ship crew and as many as work by sea stand from afar; ¹⁸ and seeing the smoke of her firing, they cry, wording, What is like to this megalopolis!
