¹¹ There is an outcry for wine in the outways: all cheerfulness is obscured; the joy of the land is exiled:

⁶ Give intoxicants to those destructing and wine to the bitter of soul

²² and they look to the earth; and behold tribulation and darkness - darkness of distress; - expelled to darkness.

¹⁹ Through the wrath of Yah Veh Sabaoth the land burns, and the people are as the fuel of the fire: no man spares his brother.

¹⁰ and cheerfulness is gathered with twirling from the orchard/Karmel; and in the vineyards they shout not, they shout not: the treaders tread no wine in troughs; I shabbathize their shouting.

⁷ the juice mourns; the vine languishes; all the cheerful sigh: ⁸ the joy of tambourines shabbathizes; the uproar of them who jump for joy ceases; the joy of the harp shabbathizes: ⁹ they drink no wine with a song; strong drink embitters them who drink:

¹³ on the soil of my people thorns and briers ascend; yes, on all the houses of joy in the city of jumping for joy:

³³ and cheerfulness and twirling are gathered from the orchard/Karmel and from the land of Moab; and I shabbathize the wine from the troughs: no one treads with shouting; in shouting, they shout not.

¹⁴ the elders shabbathize from the portal - the young men from their strumming: ¹⁵ the joy of our heart shabbathizes; our round dance turns into mourning;

¹⁴ and they cry not to me with their heart but howl on their beds: they sojourn for crop and juice and they turn aside against me.

¹⁵ Aha for the day! for the day of Yah Veh is nearby, and comes as a ravage from Shadday.

THE DAY OF YAH VEH
So, thus says Yah Veh Elohim Sabaoth Adonay: Chopping is in all streets; and in all the outways, they say, Hah! Hah! and they call the cultivator to mourning and such as know lamentation to chopping: ¹⁷ and in all vineyards, chopping: for I pass midst you, says Yah Veh. ¹⁸ Ho to you who desire the day of Yah Veh! To what end is it for you? The day of Yah Veh is darkness, and not light ¹⁹ - as a man flees the face of a lion and a bear meets him; or goes into the house and props his hand on the wall and a serpent bites him: ²⁰ Is not the day of Yah Veh darkness and not light? - even very dark with no brilliance therein?

¹¹ And the sovereign enters to observe those reposing: and there he sees a human not endued in a marriage enduement: ¹² and he words to him, Comrade, how entered you here, not having a marriage enduement? - and he is muzzled. ¹³ Then the sovereign says to the ministers, Bind him hand and foot and take him away and eject him into outer darkness; there becomes weeping and gnashing of teeth:
