And the sons of Yisra El pull stakes and encamp in the plains of Moab on this side Yarden by Yericho. ² And Balaq the son of Sippor sees all Yisra El works to the Emoriy. ³ And Moab is mighty afraid at the face of the people, because they are many: and Moab abhors the face of the sons of Yisra El. ⁴ And Moab says to the elders of Midyan, Now this congregation licks up all who are all around us as the ox licks the green of the field. And Balaq the son of Sippor is sovereign of Moab at that time. ⁵ He sends angels to Bilam the son of Beor to Pethor, by the river of the land of the sons of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, a people comes from Misrayim: and behold, they cover the eye of the earth and they settle in front of me: ⁶ go now therefore, I beseech you, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: perhaps I prevail to smite them - to drive them from the land: for I know that whom you bless is blessed and whom you curse is cursed. ⁷ And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midyan go with the divination in their hand; and they come to Bilam and word the words of Balaq to him. ⁸ And he says to them, Stay here overnight and I return word to you as Yah Veh words to me. - and the governors of Moab settle with Bilam. ⁹ And Elohim comes to Bilam and says, Who are these men with you? ¹⁰ And Bilam says to Elohim, Balaq the son of Sippor sovereign of Moab sends for me: ¹¹ behold, a people comes from Misrayim, who cover the eye of the earth: go now, curse them for me; perhaps I prevail to fight them and expel them. ¹² And Elohim says to Bilam, Go not with them. Curse not the people: for they are blessed. ¹³ And Bilam rises in the morning and says to the governors of Balaq, Go to your land: for Yah Veh refuses to allow me to go with you. ¹⁴ And the governors of Moab rise and go to Balaq and say, Bilam refuses to come with us. ¹⁵ And Balaq adds yet to send governors, greater and more honorable than they: ¹⁶ and they come to Bilam, and say to him, Thus says Balaq the son of Sippor, Let naught, I beseech you, hinder you from coming to me: ¹⁷ for in honoring, I honor you mightily and I work whatever you say to me: go, I beseech you, curse this people for me. ¹⁸ And Bilam answers and says to the servants of Balaq, If Balaq give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot trespass the mouth of Yah Veh my Elohim, to work less or greater: ¹⁹ and now, I beseech you, settle you also here this night, so that I know what Yah Veh adds to word to me. ²⁰
BILAM AND THE ANGEL OF YAH VEH
And Elohim comes to Bilam at night and says to him, If the men come to call you, rise and go with them; and work the word I word to you. ²¹ And Bilam rises in the morning and harnesses his she burro and goes with the governors of Moab: ²² and Elohim kindles his wrath, because he goes: and the angel of Yah Veh stands in the way - a satan against him: and he rides his she burro and with his two lads. ²³ And the she burro sees the angel of Yah Veh stationed in the way with his sword drawn in his hand: and the she burro deviates from the way and goes into the field. - and Bilam smites the she burro to deviate her into the way. ²⁴ And the angel of Yah Veh stands in a path of the vineyards - a wall on this side and a wall on that side: ²⁵ and the she burro sees the angel of Yah Veh and she presses to the wall and presses the foot of Bilam against the wall: - and he smites her again. ²⁶ And the angel of Yah Veh passes again and stands in a constricted place where there is no way to turn - either to the right or to the left: ²⁷ and the she burro sees the angel of Yah Veh and she crouches under Bilam: and Bilam kindles his wrath and smites the she burro with a staff. ²⁸ And Yah Veh opens the mouth of the she burro and she says to Bilam, What work I to you, that you smite me these three paces? ²⁹ And Bilam says to the she burro, Because you exploit me: O that a sword become in my hand, for by now I had slaughtered you. ³⁰ And the she burro says to Bilam, Am not I your she burro whom you rode ever since I was yours - to this day? In using, have I ever been used to work thus to you? And he says, No. ³¹ And Yah Veh exposes the eyes of Bilam and he sees the angel of Yah Veh stationed in the way with his sword drawn in his hand: and he bows and prostrates on his nostrils. ³² And the angel of Yah Veh says to him, Why smite you your she burro these three paces? Behold, I - I go out to be a satan to you, because your way is precipitous in front of me: ³³ and the she burro sees me and deviates her face from me these three paces: had she not deviated her face from me, surely by now I had slaughtered you and preserved her alive. ³⁴ And Bilam says to the angel of Yah Veh, I sinned! For I knew not that you stationed yourself in the way to confront me: and now, if it vilifies in your eyes, I turn back. ³⁵ And the angel of Yah Veh says to Bilam, Go with the men: finally, word the word I word to you. - and Bilam goes with the governors of Balaq. ³⁶ And when Balaq hears that Bilam comes, he goes out to meet him to a city of Moab in the border of Arnon - in the end border. ³⁷ And Balaq says to Bilam, In sending, send I not to you to call you? Why come you not to me? Am I not truly able to honor you? ³⁸ And Bilam says to Balaq, behold, I come to you: in being able, am I able to word aught? The word Elohim puts in my mouth, I word. ³⁹ And Bilam goes with Balaq and they come to Qiryath Husoth: ⁴⁰ and Balaq sacrifices oxen and flocks and sends to Bilam and to the governors with him: ⁴¹ and so be it, on the morrow, Balaq takes Bilam and ascends him to Bamah Baal - there to see the ends of the people.

¹ And Bilam sees it is good in the eyes of Yah Veh to bless Yisra El, and he goes not, as time by time, to confront prognostications, but he sets his face toward the wilderness: ² and Bilam lifts his eyes and sees Yisra El tabernacling by their scions; and the spirit of Elohim comes on him: ³ and he lifts his proverb and says, - an oracle of Bilam the son of Beor - an oracle of the master whose eyes were shut but now unveiled: ⁴ - an oracle of him who hears the sayings of El, who sees the vision of Shadday, falling, but eyes exposed, ⁵ How goodly your tents, O Yaaqov and your tabernacles, O Yisra El! ⁶ As the wadies they spread, as gardens by the side of the river as the aloes Yah Veh plants and as cedar trees beside the waters. ⁷ He flows the water from his pails and his seed is in many waters: and his sovereign is more exalted than Agag and his sovereigndom becomes exalted. ⁸ El brings him from Misrayim; he has as strength of a reem: he eats the goyim his tribulators and craunches their bones and strikes with his arrows. ⁹ He kneels, he lies down as a lion - as a roaring lion - who rouses him? I had said, In honoring, I honor you; but, behold, Yah Veh withholds you from honor. ¹² And Bilam says to Balaq, Worded I not also to your angels whom you sent me, saying, ¹³ If Balaq gives me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot trespass the mouth of Yah Veh, to work good or evil of my own heart? And what Yah Veh words, I word? ¹⁴ And now, behold, I go to my people: come, and I counsel you what this people work to your people in the final days. ¹⁵
ORACLE OF BILAM TO THE SON OF BEOR
And he lifts his proverb and says, - an oracle of Bilam the son of Beor - an oracle of the master whose eyes were shut but now unveiled: ¹⁶ - an oracle of him who hears the sayings of El and knows the knowledge of Elyon: who sees the vision of Shadday, falling, with eyes uncovered: ¹⁷ I see him, but not now: I observe him, but not near: a Star treads from Yaaqov and a Scion rises from Yisra El and strikes the edges of Moab and undermines all the sons of Sheth. ¹⁸
ORACLE OF BILAM TO YISRA EL
And Edom becomes a possession, and Seir becomes a possession for his enemies; and Yisra El works valiantly. ¹⁹ From Yaaqov comes he who has dominion and destroys him who survives of the city. ²⁰
ORACLE OF BILAM TO AMALEQ
And he sees Amaleq, and lifts his proverb and says, Amaleq, the first of the goyim; and his finality, eternal destruction. ²¹
ORACLE OF BILAM TO THE QAYINIY
And he sees the Qayiniy and lifts his proverb and says, Perennial, your settlement and your nest, set in a rock: ²² but the Qayiniy is consumed when Ashshur captures you. ²³ And he lifts his proverb and says, Woe, who lives when El sets this? ²⁴ And ships from the hand of Kittim, humble Ashshur and humble Heber: and he also becomes to eternal destruction. ²⁵ - and Bilam rises and goes and returns to his place: and Balaq also goes his way.

⁹ And Yah Veh said to me, Neither besiege the Moabiy nor throttle them in war: for I give you not of their land for a possession; because I give Ar to the sons of Lot for a possession.

¹⁹ and when you approach opposite the sons of Ammon, neither besiege them nor throttle them: for I give you no possession of the land of the sons of Ammon; because I gave it to the sons of Lot for a possession.

³ an Ammoniy or Moabiy enters not to the congregation of Yah Veh - even to their tenth generation enter not to the congregation of Yah Veh eternally:

YAH VEH TESTS YISRA EL
These are the goyim Yah Veh set to test Yisra El by all who knew not all the wars of Kenaan; ² whom only, the generations of the sons of Yisra El know to teach them war; only, such as formerly knew them not; ³ five ringleaders of the Peleshethiy and all the Kenaaniy and the Sidoniy and the Hivviy who settle in mount Lebanon - from mount Baal Hermon to the entering in of Hamath: ⁴ to test Yisra El by them - to know whether they hearken to the misvoth of Yah Veh which he misvahed their fathers by the hand of Mosheh. ⁵ And the sons of Yisra El settle among the Kenaaniy Hethiy and Emoriy and Perizziy and Hivviy and Yebusiy: ⁶ and they take their daughters to be their women and give their daughters to their sons and serve their elohim. ⁷
JUDGE OTHNI EL
And the sons of Yisra El work evil in the eyes of Yah Veh; and forget Yah Veh their Elohim and serve the baalim and the asherim. ⁸ And Yah Veh kindles his wrath against Yisra El and sells them into the hand of Kushan Rishathaim sovereign of Aram Naharaim: and the sons of Yisra El serve Kushan Rishathaim eight years. ⁹ And the sons of Yisra El cry to Yah Veh and Yah Veh raises a saviour to the sons of Yisra El who saves them - Othni El the son of Qenaz the younger brother of Kaleb. ¹⁰ And the Spirit of Yah Veh comes on him and he judges Yisra El and goes to war: and Yah Veh gives Kushan Rishathaim sovereign of Aram into his hand; and his hand prevails against Kushan Rishathaim: ¹¹ and the land rests forty years: and Othni El the son of Qenaz dies. ¹²
YISRA EL IN SERVITUDE
And the sons of Yisra El add to work evil in the eyes of Yah Veh: and Yah Veh strengthens Eglon the sovereign of Moab against Yisra El because they work evil in the eyes of Yah Veh. ¹³ And he gathers to himself the sons of Ammon and Amaleq; and goes and smites Yisra El and possesses Ir Hat Temarim. ¹⁴ - and the sons of Yisra El serve Eglon the sovereign of Moab eighteen years. ¹⁵
EHUD THE SAVIOUR
And the sons of Yisra El cry to Yah Veh and Yah Veh raises them a saviour - Ehud the son of Gera - a Ben Yaminiy - a man shut of his right hand: and by his hand the sons of Yisra El send an offering to Eglon the sovereign of Moab; ¹⁶ and Ehud works a sword of two edges; a span long; and he girds it under his tailoring on his right flank. ¹⁷ And he oblates the offering to Eglon sovereign of Moab - Eglon is a mighty fat man. ¹⁸ And when he finishes oblating the offering he sends away the people who bear the offering. ¹⁹ But he himself turns from the sculptiles by Gilgal and says, I have a covert word to you, O sovereign. He says, Hush! - and all who stand by him go from him. ²⁰ And Ehud comes to him; and he settles in an upper room of cooling which he has for himself alone. And Ehud says, I have a word from Elohim to you! - and he rises from his throne. ²¹ And Ehud sends his left and takes the sword from his right flank and stakes it into his belly: ²² and the handle also goes in after the blade; and the fat shuts through the blade so that he cannot draw the sword from his belly; and it comes out at the anus. ²³ Then Ehud goes through the portico and shuts the doors of the upper room on him and encloses them. ²⁴ And he goes, and his servants come; and they see, behold, the doors of the upper room are enclosed, they say, Surely he covers his feet in his cooling chamber. ²⁵ And they wait until they shame: and behold, he opens not the doors of the upper room; and they take the key and open: and behold, their adoni fallen down on the earth - dead. ²⁶ And as they linger Ehud escapes and passes beyond the sculptiles and escapes to Seirah: ²⁷ and so be it, when he comes, he blasts a shophar in the mountain of Ephrayim and the sons of Yisra El descend the mount with him - with him at their face. ²⁸ And he says to them, Pursue after me: for Yah Veh gives your enemies the Moabiy into your hand. - and they descend after him and capture the passages of Yarden toward Moab and allow not a man to pass over. ²⁹ And at that time they smite about ten thousand men of Moab - all fat - all men of valour; and not a man escapes. ³⁰ So Moab is subdued that day under the hand of Yisra El. - and the land rests eighty years. ³¹
SHAMGAR
And after him, Shamgar the son of Anath, who smites six hundred men of the Peleshethiy with an ox goad: and he also saves Yisra El.

¹⁰ and I also chatteled Ruth the Moabiyth the woman of Machlon, to be my woman, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead not be cut off from among his brothers and from the portal of his place; you are witnesses this day.

THE TRIUMPHS OF DAVID
And so be it, afterward, David smites the Peleshethiy and subdues them: and David takes Metheg Ha Ammah from the hand of the Peleshethiy: ² and he smites Moab and measures them with a line, having them lie down to the earth; and he measures two lines to deathify and with one full line to live. And the Moabiy become servants of David to lift offerings. ³ And David smites Hadad Ezer the son of Rechob sovereign of Sobah as he goes to turn back his hand at the river Euphrates: ⁴ and David captures from him a thousand and seven hundred cavalry and twenty thousand men on foot: and David uproots/hamstrings all the chariots; only, a hundred of their chariots remain. ⁵ And when the Aramiy of Dammeseq come to help Hadad Ezer sovereign of Sobah, David smites of the Aramiy twenty-two thousand men: ⁶ and David sets stations in Aram of Dammeseq: and the Aramiy become servants to David to lift offerings. THE REIGN OF YAH RAM OVER YISRA EL
And Yah Ram the son of Ach Ab begins to reign over Yisra El in Shomeron the eighteenth year of Yah Shaphat sovereign of Yah Hudah; and reigns twelve years: ² and he works evil in the eyes of Yah Veh; only, not as his father and as his mother: for he turns aside the monolith of Baal his father worked: ³ only, he adheres to the sins of Yarob Am the son of Nebat who had Yisra El to sin; he turns not aside therefrom. ⁴
THE REBELLION OF MOAB
And Mesha sovereign of Moab is a brander; and he returns a hundred thousand rams and a hundred thousand rams wool to the sovereign of Yisra El. ⁵ And so be it, Ach Ab is dead, and the sovereign of Moab rebels against the sovereign of Yisra El: ⁶ and the same day the sovereign Yah Ram goes from Shomeron and musters all Yisra El: ⁷ and he goes and sends to Yah Shaphat the sovereign of Yah Hudah, saying, The sovereign of Moab rebels against me: come you with me to war against Moab? And he says, I ascend: I - as you; my people as your people; my horses as your horses. ⁸ And he says, Which way ascend we? And he says, The way through the wilderness of Edom. ⁹ And the sovereign of Yisra El and the sovereign of Yah Hudah and the sovereign of Edom go: and they go about a seven day journey: and there is no water for the camp and for the animals following at their feet. ¹⁰ And the sovereign of Yisra El says, Aha! Yah Veh calls these three sovereigns to give them into the hand of Moab! ¹¹ And Yah Shaphat says, Is there no prophet of Yah Veh here, by whom to enquire of Yah Veh? And one of the servants of the sovereign of Yisra El answers and says, Here is Eli Shua the son of Shaphat, who poured water on the hands of Eli Yah. ¹² And Yah Shaphat says, The word of Yah Veh is with him. - and the sovereign of Yisra El and Yah Shaphat and the sovereign of Edom descend to him. ¹³ And Eli Shua says to the sovereign of Yisra El, What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father and to the prophets of your mother! And the sovereign of Yisra El says to him, No: for Yah Veh calls these three sovereigns together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab. ¹⁴ And Eli Shua says, Yah Veh Sabaoth lives - at whose face I stand: for unless I lift the face of Yah Shaphat the sovereign of Yah Hudah, I neither look toward you nor see you: ¹⁵ but now take me a strummer, and so be it, when the strummer strums, the hand of Yah Veh comes on him. ¹⁶ And he says, Thus says Yah Veh, Work this wadi full of dugouts: ¹⁷ for thus says Yah Veh, you neither see wind nor see rain; and that wadi fills with water and you drink - both you and your chattel and your animals: ¹⁸ and this is a trifle in the eyes of Yah Veh: and he gives the Moabiy into your hand. ¹⁹ Smite every fortified city and every choice city and fell every good tree and stop all fountains of water and pain every good allotment with stones. ²⁰ And so be it, in the morning, they holocaust the offering, and behold, water comes by the way of Edom and the land fills with water. ²¹ And all the Moabiy hear that the sovereigns ascend to fight against them, and they call together all who gird a girdle and upward; and stand in the border: ²² and they start early in the morning and the sun rises on the water; and the Moabiy see the water in front as red as blood: ²³ and they say, This is blood: in being desolated, the sovereigns are desolated and man smote friend: and now, Moab, to the spoil! ²⁴ And they come to the camp of Yisra El; and Yisra Eliy rises and smites the Moabiy so that they flee from their face; and they smite the Moabiy: ²⁵ and they demolish the cities; and every man casts his stone on every good allotment and fills it; and they stop all the fountains of water and fell all the good trees: only, in Qir Hareseth they leave the stones thereof; and the slingers surround it and smite it. ²⁶ And the sovereign of Moab sees the war is too strong for him, and he takes with him seven hundred men who draw swords to split through to the sovereign of Edom: and they are not able. ²⁷ And he takes his son - his firstbirthed who reigns in his stead and holocausts him for a holocaust on the wall: and there is great rage against Yisra El: and they pull stakes from him and return to their land.
