³ Confide not in volunteers - in a son of humanity - in whom there is no salvation: ⁴ his spirit goes; he returns to his soil; that very day his thoughts destruct.

¹⁹ Confidence in one who deals covertly in a day of tribulation is as a broken tooth and a dislocated foot.

⁶ Behold, you confide in the crutch of this crushed stalk - on Misrayim; whereon, if a man props, it goes into his palm, and pierces: thus is Paroh sovereign of Misrayim to all who confide in him.

⁵ Thus says Yah Veh; Cursed be the mighty who confide in humanity; who set flesh as his arm; who turns his heart from Yah Veh. ⁶ And he becomes as the naked in the plain, and sees not when good comes; and tabernacles in the scorches in the wilderness - in a salt land, not settled.

⁵ And the valiant of Paroh come from Misrayim: and the Kesediym besieging Yeru Shalem hear their report; and they ascend from Yeru Shalem. ⁶ And so be the word of Yah Veh to the prophet Yirme Yah, saying, ⁷ Thus says Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El: Say thus to the sovereign of Yah Hudah, who sent you to me to enquire of me: Behold, the valiant of Paroh who come to help you return to Misrayim into their own land: ⁸ and the Kesediym return and fight against this city and capture it and burn it with fire. ⁹ Thus says Yah Veh: Deceive not your souls, saying, The Kesediym walk and go from us! - for they go not. ¹⁰ For though you smite all the valiant of the Kesediym who fight against you, and there survives but wounded men among them, every man rises from his tent to burn this city with fire. ¹¹ And so be it, the valiant of the Kesediym ascend from Yeru Shalem from the face of the valiant of Paroh,

¹⁵ And he rebels against him by sending his angels into Misrayim, so that they give him horses and much people. Prospers he? Escapes he who works such? Or, breaks he the covenant and escapes? ¹⁶ I live - an oracle of Adonay Yah Veh in the place of the sovereign who has him reign - whose oath he despises and whose covenant he breaks, dies he not with him midst Babel? ¹⁷ Not even Paroh with his great valiant and great congregation works for him in the war by pouring mounds, and building battering towers to cut off many souls:
