THE TORAH ON A REVOLTING AND REBELLIOUS SON When a man has a revolting and rebellious son, who hearkens not to the voice of his father or the voice of his mother and that, when they discipline him, he hearkens not to them:

¹² Honor your father and your mother: that your days be prolonged on the soil which Yah Veh your Elohim gives you.

¹⁵ And he who smites his father, or his mother, in deathifying, deathify him.

¹⁷ And he who abases his father, or his mother, in deathifying, deathify him.

³ Every man, awe his mother and his father and guard my shabbaths: I - Yah Veh your Elohim.

⁹ And the daughter of a man - a priest, when she profanes herself by whoring, she profanes her father: burn her with fire.

⁵ And consider in your heart, as a man disciplines his son, thus Yah Veh your Elohim disciplines you.

¹⁶ Cursed he who is abased by his father or his mother. - and all the people say, Amen.

¹⁴ I become to him, father and he becomes to me, son. If he perverts, I reprove him with the scion of men and with the plagues of the sons of humanity:

⁸ My son, hear the discipline of your father and abandon not the torah of your mother:

²⁴ He who spares his scion hates his son; and he who loves him rises early and disciplines him.

⁵ A fool scorns the discipline of his father; and he who regards reproof strategizes.

¹⁸ Discipline your son while there is hope and lift not your soul for his death.

²⁰ Whoever abases his father or his mother, extinguishes his lamp in mid darkness.

¹⁵ Folly is bound in the heart of a lad; and the scion of discipline removes it far from him.

¹³ Withhold not discipline from the lad; when you smite him with the scion, he dies not: ¹⁴ smite him with the scion and rescue his soul from sheol.

²⁴ Whoever strips his father or his mother and says, It is no rebellion! - is the companion of a man ruiner.

¹⁷ Discipline your son and he gives you rest; yes, he gives delicately to your soul.

¹¹ There is a generation who abases their father and blesses not their mother:

¹⁷ The eye that derides father and disrespects to obey mother; the ravens of the wadi bore through and the sons of eagles eat.

² Hear, O heavens; and hearken, O earth: for Yah Veh words, I nourished and raised sons, and they - they rebelled against me.

⁵ Why be smitten any more? You increase revolt; the whole head is sick; and the whole heart bleeds:

³ O Yah Veh, are not your eyes on trustworthiness? you smite them, and they writhe not; you finish them off, and they refuse to take correction: they toughen their faces as a rock; they refuse to return.

¹⁸ In hearing, I hear Ephrayim wagging over himself; You disciplined me - disciplined me as a calf not trained: return me, and I return; for you are Yah Veh my Elohim.

⁷ in you they abase father and mother: in your midst they worked oppression with the sojourner: in you they vex the orphan and the widow.

¹³ In your foulness is intrigue: because I purify you; and you purify not: you purify not from your foulness any more until I rest my fury on you.

¹¹ I turned against you, as Elohim overthrew Sedom and Amorah, - as a brand rescued from the burning: yet you returned not to me - an oracle of Yah Veh. ¹² So thus I work to you, O Yisra El: and because I work this to you, prepare to meet your Elohim, O Yisra El.

¹ Children, obey your parents in Adonay: for this is just. ² Honor your father and mother; which is the first misvah in pre-evangelism; ³ that it be well with you and you be long lived on the earth. ^{Exodus 20:12}

⁹ So indeed we have fathers of our flesh who discipline us and we respect them: and not much rather subjugate to the Father of spirits and live? ¹⁰ For they indeed, for a few days, discipline after their well-thinking; but he for our benefit that we partake of his holiness. ¹¹ Now indeed, for the present, no discipline is thought to be cheerful - but sorrowful: nevertheless afterward it gives the shalom of the fruit of justness to them who exercise through it.
