² In destroying, destroy all the places, wherein the goyim you possess serve their elohim - on the exalted mountains and on the hills and under every green tree:

²⁴ Neither prostrate to their elohim, nor serve them, nor work after their works: but in demolishing, demolish them and in breaking, break their monoliths;

¹² guard yourself, lest you cut a covenant with them who settle the land where you go; lest it become a snare in your midst: ¹³ but pull down their sacrifice altars, break their monoliths and cut down their asherim: ¹⁴ for you prostrate to no other el: for Yah Veh, whose name is Zealous, is a zealous El:

¹⁶ and you take of their daughters to your sons and their daughters whore after their elohim and make your sons whore after their elohim. ¹⁷ Work no molten elohim.

⁴¹ and so be it, on the morrow, Balaq takes Bilam and ascends him to Bamah Baal - there to see the ends of the people.

⁵¹ Word to the sons of Yisra El, and say to them, When you pass over Yarden into the land of Kenaan, ⁵² dispossess them who settle the land from your face; and destroy all their imageries and desolate all their molten images and desolate all their bamahs:

⁵ But work thus with them; pull down their sacrifice altars and break down their monoliths and cut down their asherim and burn their sculptiles with fire.

²⁵ Burn the sculptiles of their elohim with fire: neither desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it to you, lest you be snared therein: for it is an abhorrence to Yah Veh your Elohim. ²⁶ Neither bring an abhorrence into your house, lest you be devoted as it: but in abominating, abominate it and in abhorring, abhor it; for it is devoted.

² and you, cut no covenant with the settlers of this land; pull down their sacrifice altars - and you hearken not to my voice: Why work you this?

⁴ and he sacrifices and incenses in the bamahs and on the hills and under every green tree.

¹⁰ and they station monoliths and asherim in every high hill and under every green tree: ¹¹ and incense there in all the bamahs as the goyim whom Yah Veh exiled from their face; and work evil words to vex Yah Veh:

¹³ And the sovereign fouls the bamahs at the face of Yeru Shalem at the right of the mount of ruin, which Shelomoh the sovereign of Yisra El built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidoniy, and for Kemosh the abomination of the Moabiy, and for Milchom the abhorrence of the sons of Ammon:

And Yah Veh says to me in the days of Yoshi Yah the sovereign, See you what apostate Yisra El works? She goes on every high mountain and under every green tree, and whores there.

²⁸ And I bring them into the land for which I lifted my hand to give it to them, and they see every high hill and all the thick trees; and there they sacrifice their sacrifices, and there they give the vexation of their qorban: there they also set their scent of rest and there they libate their libations. ²⁹ And I say to them, What is the bamah to which you go? - and the name is called Bamah to this day.

¹³ they sacrifice on the mountain tops and incense on the hills; under oaks and poplars and terebinth because the shadow is good: so your daughters whore and your brides adulterize.
