⁷ And the sovereign spares Mephi Bosheth the son of Yah Nathan the son of Shaul because of the oath of Yah Veh between them - between David and between Yah Nathan the son of Shaul.

³ And Yah Nathan and David cut a covenant because he loves him as his own soul:

⁸ And work mercy with your servant; for you brought your servant into a covenant of Yah Veh with you: and, if there be perversity in me, deathify me yourself. And why this - to bring me to your father?

¹⁵ neither cut off your mercy from my house eternally: nor when Yah Veh cuts off the enemies of David - every man from the face of the soil.

¹⁷ and Yah Nathan has David add an oath, because he loves him: for he loves him as he loves his own soul.

⁴² And Yah Nathan says to David, Go in shalom; inasmuch as we oathed, both of us, in the name of Yah Veh, saying, Yah Veh be between me and between you and between my seed and between your seed eternally. - and he rises and goes: and Yah Nathan goes into the city.

¹⁸ And the two cut a covenant at the face of Yah Veh: and David settles in the forest and Yah Nathan goes to his house.

⁴ And Yah Nathan, the son of Shaul, has a son with smitten feet - a son of five years; as the reports of Shaul and Yah Nathan come from Yizre El; and his foster lifts him, and flees: and so be it, as she hastens to flee, he falls, and limps: and his name is Mephi Bosheth.

⁷ And David says to him, Awe not: for in working, I work you mercy for sake of Yah Nathan your father; and restore all the field of Shaul your father to you - that you eat bread at my table continually.

¹⁰ and you and your sons and your servants serve the soil for him and bring in; so that the son of your adoni has bread to eat: but Mephi Bosheth the son of your adoni eats bread at my table continually. - and Siba has fifteen sons and twenty servants.

⁴ Then the sovereign says to Siba, Behold, you are all to Mephi Bosheth. And Siba says, I prostrate to you to find charism in your eyes, my adoni, O sovereign.

²⁵ And so be it, he comes to Yeru Shalem to meet the sovereign, and the sovereign says to him, Why went you not with me, Mephi Bosheth?
