¹⁵ who forsake the straight way and wander; following the way of Bilam of Beor who loved the rewards of injustice;

⁵ He sends angels to Bilam the son of Beor to Pethor, by the river of the land of the sons of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, a people comes from Misrayim: and behold, they cover the eye of the earth and they settle in front of me: ⁶ go now therefore, I beseech you, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: perhaps I prevail to smite them - to drive them from the land: for I know that whom you bless is blessed and whom you curse is cursed. ⁷ And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midyan go with the divination in their hand; and they come to Bilam and word the words of Balaq to him.

¹⁸ And Bilam answers and says to the servants of Balaq, If Balaq give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot trespass the mouth of Yah Veh my Elohim, to work less or greater: ¹⁹ and now, I beseech you, settle you also here this night, so that I know what Yah Veh adds to word to me. ²⁰
BILAM AND THE ANGEL OF YAH VEH
And Elohim comes to Bilam at night and says to him, If the men come to call you, rise and go with them; and work the word I word to you. ²¹ And Bilam rises in the morning and harnesses his she burro and goes with the governors of Moab:

²³ And the she burro sees the angel of Yah Veh stationed in the way with his sword drawn in his hand: and the she burro deviates from the way and goes into the field. - and Bilam smites the she burro to deviate her into the way.

²⁸ And Yah Veh opens the mouth of the she burro and she says to Bilam, What work I to you, that you smite me these three paces?

¹⁶ Behold, these become to the sons of Yisra El, through the word of Bilam, to set treason against Yah Veh in the word of Peor and a plague among the witness of Yah Veh.

⁴ for word that they anticipated you not with bread and with water in the way, when you came from Misrayim; and because they hired Bilam the son of Beor of Pethor of Aram Naharaim against you to abase you: ⁵ and Yah Veh your Elohim willed to not hearken to Bilam; but Yah Veh your Elohim turned the abasement to a blessing to you, because Yah Veh your Elohim loved you:

²³ I also, far be it that I sin against Yah Veh, in ceasing to pray for you; but I direct you to the good and the straight way:

¹⁸ And he says, Not I who troubles Yisra El: but you and the house of your father in that you forsake the misvoth of Yah Veh and walk after Baalim:

¹⁰ And he says, In being zealous, I am zealous for Yah Veh Elohim Sabaoth: for the sons of Yisra El forsook your covenant, demolished your sacrifice altars and slaughtered your prophets with the sword; and I - I only, remain; and they seek to take away my soul.

² because they anticipated not the sons of Yisra El with bread and with water; but hired Bilam against them to abase them: and our Elohim turns the abasement into a blessing.

⁴ They who forsake the torah, halal the wicked; such as guard the torah, throttle them.

¹⁰ And I also, neither my eye spares, nor I compassion: I give their way on their head.

⁸ Ephrayim, What have I to do any more with idols? I - I answer and observe him: I am as a green fir tree: from me your fruit is found.

⁵ O my people, remember, I beseech, what Balaq sovereign of Moab counselled and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim to Gilgal; so that you know the justness of Yah Veh.

¹⁸ So indeed, this one acquired a parcel from the reward of iniquity; and being headlong, he cracked open in the middle and all his spleen poured forth. ^{Zechariah 11:12}

¹⁰ and says, O full of all deceit and all malignity, you son of Diabolos, you enemy of all justness, pause you not from thoroughly perverting the straight ways of Yah Veh?

¹³ and receive the reward of injustice, as they who deem it pleasure to indulge in the day time; - stains and blemishes, reveling in their own delusions as they revel with you;

¹¹ Woe to them! because they go in the way of Qayin and rush for reward after the seduction of Bilam and destruct in the controversy of Korach.

¹⁴ But I have a few against you, because you have them who empower the doctrine of Bilam, who doctrinated in Balaq to cast a scandal in the sight of the sons of Yisra El; to eat idol sacrifices and to whore.
