⁹ Now I cheer - not that you were sorrowed; but that you sorrowed to repentance: for you sorrowed toward Elohim so that you have no loss by us.

¹⁸ For I tell my perversity - concerned for my sin:

³ better vexation than laughter; for by the evil of the face the heart becomes well-pleased.

⁹ And he says, Go, and say to this people, In hearing, you hear, and discern not; and in seeing, you see, and know not. ¹⁰ Fatten the heart of this people and burden their ears and stroke their eyes; lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and discern with their heart - and convert and heal. ¹¹ Then I say, Adonay, until when? And he says, Until the cities waste away without settler, and the houses without humanity, and the soil wastes - a desolation;

¹⁸ In hearing, I hear Ephrayim wagging over himself; You disciplined me - disciplined me as a calf not trained: return me, and I return; for you are Yah Veh my Elohim. ¹⁹ Surely after I returned, I sighed; and after I was instructed, I slapped my flank: I shamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth. ²⁰ Is Ephrayim my esteemed son? A child of delights? For since I worded sufficient against him, in remembering, I remember him still: so my inwards trouble for him; In mercying, I mercy him - an oracle of Yah Veh.

THE SPIRIT OF CHARISM
And I pour on the house of David, and on the settlers of Yeru Shalem, the spirit of charism and of supplications: and they look on me whom they pierced, and they chop for him as one chops for his only, and embitter over him as one embitters for his firstbirthed.

⁷ I word to you, that likewise cheer becomes in the heavens over one sinner who repents - more than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

¹⁰ Likewise, I word to you, cheer becomes in the sight of the angels of Elohim over one sinner who repents.

¹⁷ And he comes to himself, and says, How many hirelings of my father have super abundant bread, and I destruct with famine! ¹⁸ I rise and go to my father, and say to him, Father, I sinned against the heavens and in your sight; ¹⁹ and am no more worthy to be called your son: make me as one of your hirelings. ²⁰ And he rises, and comes to his father. and still being afar, his father sees him and has a sympathetic spleen and runs and falls on his neck and ardently kisses him: ²¹ - and the son says to him, Father, I sinned against the heavens and in your sight and am no more worthy to be called your son. ²² But the father says to his servants, Bring the preeminent stole and endue him; and give a finger ring on his hand and shoes on his feet; ²³ and bring the fatted calf and sacrifice; and eat, and rejoice: ²⁴ for this my son was dead, and relives; he was lost, and is found. - and they begin to rejoice.

³² It is necessary to rejoice, and cheer: for this your brother was dead and relives; and was lost, and is found.

²¹ - witnessing both to the Yah Hudiym and to the Hellenes repentance to Elohim, and trust to our Adonay Yah Shua Messiah.

¹² For this is our boasting: the witness of our conscience: that with liberality and sincerity of Elohim - not in fleshly wisdom but in the charism of Elohim we have our behavior in the cosmos and more superabundantly toward you.

¹⁶ indeed to the one the fragrance of death to death; and to the other the fragrance of life to life. And who is adequate for these?

⁶ Yet Elohim who consoles the humbled consoled us in the appearing of Titus; ⁷ and not only in his appearing; but in the consolation wherewith he was consoled in you - when he evangelized us of your yearning, your grieving, your zeal toward me; so that I cheered the more.

¹⁰ For sorrow toward Elohim works repentance to salvation - unrequitable: but the sorrow of the cosmos works death. ¹¹ For behold this, that you sorrowed toward Elohim, how much diligence it worked in you rather, pleading; yes, rather indignation; yes, rather awe; yes, rather yearning; yes, rather zeal; yes, rather vengeance. In all these you commend yourselves to be hallowed in this matter.

⁸ For even whenever I boast somewhat more superabundantly concerning our authority, that Adonay gave us to edify, and not to pull down, I shame not: ⁹ That I not be thought of as ever utterly frightening you through epistles. ¹⁰ For his epistles indeed, they say, are burdenous and mighty; and his body appearance is frail and his word belittling.

⁸ For we can do naught against the truth - but for the truth. ⁹ For we cheer when we are frail and you are able: and this also we vow - your perfection. ¹⁰ So being absent, I scribe these; lest being present, I use severity, according to the authority Adonay gave me to edify - and not to pull you down.
