¹⁸ and Asa takes all the silver and the gold remaining in the treasures of the house of Yah Veh, and the treasures of the house of the sovereign, and gives them to the hand of his servants: and sovereign Asa sends them to Ben Hadad the son of Tab Rimon the son of Hezyon sovereign of Aram; who settles at Dammeseq, saying,

¹⁵ And he allots against them by night - he and his servants and smites them and pursues them to Hobah at the left of Dammeseq.

² And Abram says, Adonay Yah Veh, what give you me - seeing I go barren and the son of the holdings of my house is this Eli Ezer of Dammeseq?

²³ And Elohim raises a satan - Rezon the son of Eli Ada who had fled from his adoni Hadad Ezer sovereign of Sobah ²⁴ - who gathered men to himself and became governor over a troop when David slaughtered them and they went to Dammeseq and settled and reigned in Dammeseq:

²⁶ and takes the treasures of the house of Yah Veh and the treasures of the house of the sovereign: he even takes all: and he takes all the bucklers of gold Shelomoh worked:

¹⁵ and he brings in the holies of his father and his own holies to the house of Yah Veh - silver and gold and instruments.

ARAM ATTACKS SHOMERON
And Ben Hadad the sovereign of Aram gathers all his valiant together: with thirty-two sovereigns and horses and chariots; and he ascends and besieges Shomeron and fights against it. ² And he sends angels to Ach Ab sovereign of Yisra El into the city and says to him, Thus says Ben Hadad, ³ Your silver and your gold is mine; and your women and your sons - the goodliest are mine. ⁴ And the sovereign of Yisra El answers and says, My adoni, O sovereign, according to your word, I am yours - and all I have. ⁵ And the angels return and say, Thus says Ben Hadad, saying, Although I send to you, saying, Give me your silver and your gold and your women and your sons;

³³ Now the men prognosticate of him and they hasten and snatch: and they say, Your brother Ben Hadad. Then he says, Go! Take him! Then Ben Hadad goes to him; and he ascends him into the chariot ³⁴ and says to him, The cities my father took from your father, I restore; and set outways for yourself in Dammeseq, as my father set in Shomeron. Then he says, I send you away with this covenant. - and he cuts a covenant with him and sends him away.

ELI SHUA PROPHESIES EVIL
And Eli Shua comes to Dammeseq; and Ben Hadad the sovereign of Aram is sick; and they tell him, saying, The man of Elohim comes here. ⁸ And the sovereign says to Haza El, Take an offering in your hand and go meet the man of Elohim and enquire of Yah Veh by him, saying, Live I of this sickness? ⁹ And Haza El goes to meet him and takes an offering in his hand even of every good of Dammeseq - the burden of forty camels and comes and stands at his face and says, Your son Ben Hadad sovereign of Aram sends me to you, saying, Live I of this sickness? ¹⁰ And Eli Shua says to him, Go, say to him, In living, you live: howbeit Yah Veh shows me, that in dying, you die. ¹¹ - and he stands and sets his face until he shames and the man of Elohim weeps. ¹² And Haza El says, Why weeps my adoni? And he says, Because I know the evil you work to the sons of Yisra El: you send their fortresses on fire; and slaughter their youths with the sword; and splatter their sucklings and split open their conceivers. ¹³ And Haza El says, But what? Is your servant a dog, to work this great word? And Eli Shua says, Yah Veh shows me you as sovereign over Aram. ¹⁴ And he goes from Eli Shua and comes to his adoni; who says to him, What says Eli Shua to you? And he says, He says to me, In living, you live. ¹⁵ And so be it, on the morrow, he takes a net and dips it in water and spreads it on his face, so that he dies: and Haza El reigns in his stead.

¹⁸ and Yah Ash sovereign of Yah Hudah takes all the holies Yah Shaphat and Yah Ram and Achaz Yah his fathers, sovereigns of Yah Hudah, hallowed: and his own holies and all the gold found in the treasures of the house of Yah Veh and in the house of the sovereign and sends it to Haza El sovereign of Aram: and he ascends from Yeru Shalem.

¹⁵ and Yechizqi Yah gives him all the silver found in the house of Yah Veh and in the treasures of the house of the sovereign. ¹⁶ At that time, Yechizqi Yah chops off the doors of the manse of Yah Veh and the pillars Yechizqi Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah overlaid; and gives them to the sovereign of Ashshur:

²⁷ and I kindle a fire in the wall of Dammeseq and it consumes the citadels of Ben Hadad.
