¹⁰ For who hath despised little days? and they shall rejoice, and shall see the tin plummet in the hand of Zorobabel. These are the seven eyes of the Lord, that run to and fro through the whole earth.

⁹ For the eyes of the Lord behold all the earth, and give strength to those who with a perfect heart trust in him. Wherefore thou hast done foolishly, and for this cause from this time wars shall arise against thee.

¹² But many of the priests and the Levites, and the chief of the fathers and the ancients that had seen the former temple; when they had the foundation of this temple before their eyes, wept with a loud voice: and many shouting for joy, lifted up their voice. ¹³ So that one could not distinguish the voice of the shout of joy, from the noise of the weeping of the people: for one with another the people shouted with a loud shout, and the voice was heard afar off.

² And said before his brethren, and the multitude of the Samaritans: What are the silly Jews doing? Will the Gentiles let them alone? will they sacrifice and make an end in a day? are they able to raise stones out of the heaps of the rubbish, which are burnt? ³ Tobias also the Ammonite who was by him said: Let them build: if a fox go up, he will leap over their stone wall. ⁴ Hear thou our God, for we are despised: turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them to be despised in a land of captivity.

⁷ In so much, that if thy former things were small thy latter things would be multiplied exceedingly.

¹⁸ But the path of the just, as a shining light, goeth forwards, and increaseth even to perfect day.

³ The eyes of the Lord in every place behold the good and the evil.

¹¹ That you may suck, and be filled with the breasts of her consolations: that you may milk out, and flow with delights, from the abundance of her glory.

¹⁴ You shall see and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb, and the hand of the Lord shall be known to his servants, and he shall be angry with his enemies.

³⁴ Thus thou sawest, till a stone was cut out of a mountain without hands: and it struck the statue upon the feet thereof that were of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. ³⁵ Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of a summer's threshing floor, and they were carried away by the wind: and there was no place found for them: but the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

³ He will revive us after two days: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. We shall know, and we shall follow on, that we may know the Lord. His going forth is prepared as the morning light, and he will come to us as the early and the latter rain to the earth.

⁷ These things the Lord shewed to me: and behold the Lord was standing upon a plastered wall, and in his hand a mason's trowel. ⁸ And the Lord said to me: What seest thou, Amos? And I said: A mason's trowel. And the Lord said: Behold, I will lay down the trowel in the midst of my people Israel. I will plaster them over no more.

¹⁰ And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered, and said: These are they, whom the Lord hath sent to walk through the earth. ¹¹ And they answered the angel of the Lord, that stood among the myrtle trees, and said: We have walked through the earth, and behold all the earth is inhabited, and is at rest.

⁹ For behold the stone that I have laid before Jesus: upon one stone there are seven eyes: behold I will grave the graving thereof, saith the Lord of hosts: and I will take away the iniquity of that land in one day.

³¹ Another parable he proposed unto them, saying: The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field. ³² Which is the least indeed of all seeds; but when it is grown up, it is greater than all herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come, and dwell in the branches thereof. ³³ Another parable he spoke to them: The kingdom of heaven is like to leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, until the whole was leavened.

⁵ And when he hath found it, lay it upon his shoulders, rejoicing? ⁶ And coming home, call together his friends and neighbours, saying to them: Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep that was lost? ⁷ I say to you that even so there shall be joy in heaven upon one sinner that doth penance, more than upon ninety-nine just who need not penance. ⁸ Or what woman having ten groats, if she lose one groat, doth not light a candle and sweep the house and seek diligently until she find it? ⁹ And when she hath found it, call together her friends and neighbours, saying: Rejoice with me, because I have found the groat which I had lost. ¹⁰ So I say to you, there shall be joy before the angels of God upon one sinner doing penance.

³² But it was fit that we should make merry and be glad: for this thy brother was dead and is come to life again; he was lost, and is found.

²⁸ And the base things of the world and the things that are contemptible, hath God chosen: and things that are not, that he might bring to nought things that are: ²⁹ That no flesh should glory in his sight.

⁶ And I saw: and behold in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the ancients, a Lamb standing, as it were slain, having seven horns and seven eyes: which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.

² And I saw seven angels standing in the presence of God: and there were given to them seven trumpets.
