³ Careful to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. ⁴ One body and one Spirit: as you are called in one hope of your calling. ⁵ One Lord, one faith, one baptism. ⁶ One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in us all.

²⁷ That he might present it to himself, a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

¹⁰ Finally, brethren, be strengthened in the Lord and in the might of his power. ¹¹ Put you on the armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil. ¹² For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places. ¹³ Therefore, take unto you the armour of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day and to stand in all things perfect. ¹⁴ Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth and having on the breastplate of justice: ¹⁵ And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. ¹⁶ In all things taking the shield of faith, wherewith you may be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the most wicked one. ¹⁷ And take unto you the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit (which is the word of God). ¹⁸ By all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the spirit: and in the same watching with all instance and supplication for all the saints: ¹⁹ And for me, that speech may be given me, that I may open my mouth with confidence, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

²¹ For to me, to live is Christ: and to die is gain. ²² And if to live in the flesh: this is to me the fruit of labour. And what I shall choose I know not. ²³ But I am straitened between two: having a desire to be dissolved and to be with Christ, a thing by far the better.

¹ And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head: and his face, as the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire.

¹⁶ I, Jesus, have sent my angel, to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and stock of David, the bright and morning star.
