⁵ For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.

^{13 (92:14)} They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of the house of our God.

² And he fenced it in, and picked the stones out of it, and planted it with the choicest vines, and built a tower in the midst thereof, and set up a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.

²¹ Yet, I planted thee a chosen vineyard, all true seed: how then art thou turned unto me into that which is good for nothing, O strange vineyard?

¹³ But he answering, said: Every plant which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

²⁴ Amen, amen, I say to you, unless the grain of wheat falling into the ground die,

¹ I am the true vine: and my Father is the husbandman. ² Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he will take away: and every one that beareth fruit, he will purge it, that it may bring forth more fruit. ³ Now you are clean, by reason of the word which I have spoken to you. ⁴ Abide in me: and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abide in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in me. ⁵ I am the vine: you the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. ⁶ If any one abide not in me, he shall be cast forth as a branch and shall wither: and they shall gather him up and cast him into the fire: and he burneth. ⁷ If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you will: and it shall be done unto you. ⁸ In this is my Father glorified: that you bring forth very much fruit and become my disciples.

⁸ Now, if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall live also together with Christ. ⁹ Knowing that Christ, rising again from the dead, dieth now no more. Death shall no more have dominion over him. ¹⁰ For in that he died to sin, he died once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. ¹¹ So do you also reckon that you are dead to sin, but alive unto God, in Christ Jesus our Lord. ¹² Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, so as to obey the lusts thereof.

¹⁰ Always bearing about in our body the mortification of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be made manifest in our bodies.

⁵ Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together in Christ (by whose grace you are saved) ⁶ And hath raised us up together and hath made us sit together in the heavenly places, through Christ Jesus.

¹⁰ That I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings: being made conformable to his death, ¹¹ If by any means I may attain to the resurrection which is from the dead.

¹² Buried with him in baptism: in whom also you are risen again by the faith of the operation of God who hath raised him up from the dead.

¹ Therefore if you be risen with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God.
