²⁷ Where is then thy boasting? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith.

⁶² And I will establish my covenant with thee: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord, ⁶³ That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and mayest no more open thy mouth because of thy confusion, when I shall be pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord God.

³¹ And you shall remember your wicked ways, and your doings that were not good: and your iniquities, and your wicked deeds shall displease you. ³² It is not for your sakes that I will do this, saith the Lord God, be it known to you: be confounded, and ashamed at your own ways, O house of Israel.

¹¹ In that day thou shalt not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me for then I will take away out of the midst of thee thy proud boasters, and thou shalt no more be lifted up because of my holy mountain.

¹⁶ He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall he condemned.

⁹ And to some who trusted in themselves as just and despised others, he spoke also this parable: ¹⁰ Two men went up into the temple to pray: the one a Pharisee and the other a publican. ¹¹ The Pharisee standing, prayed thus with himself: O God, I give thee thanks that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, as also is this publican. ¹² I fast twice in a week: I give tithes of all that I possess. ¹³ And the publican, standing afar off, would not so much as lift up his eyes towards heaven; but struck his breast, saying: O God, be merciful to me a sinner. ¹⁴ I say to you, this man went down into his house justified rather than the other: because every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled: and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

³⁶ He that believeth in the Son hath life everlasting: but he that believeth not the Son shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth on him.

¹⁷ But if thou art called a Jew and restest in the law and makest thy boast of God,

²³ Thou, that makest thy boast of the law, by transgression of the law dishonourest God.

¹⁹ Now we know that what things soever the law speaketh, it speaketh to them that are in the law: that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may be made subject to God.

² For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory, but not before God.

²¹ I find then a law, that when I have a will to do good, evil is present with me.

²³ But I see another law in my members, fighting against the law of my mind and captivating me in the law of sin that is in my members.

²⁵ The grace of God, by Jesus Christ our Lord. Therefore, I myself, with the mind serve the law of God: but with the flesh, the law of sin.

² For the law of the spirit of life, in Christ Jesus, hath delivered me from the law of sin and of death.

¹¹ For when the children were not yet born, nor had done any good or evil (that the purpose of God according to election might stand):

³² Why so? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were of works. For they stumbled at the stumblingstone.

⁵ For Moses wrote that the justice which is of the law: The man that shall do it shall live by it.

⁶ And if by grace, it is not now by works: otherwise grace is no more grace.

²⁹ That no flesh should glory in his sight. ³⁰ But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom and justice and sanctification and redemption: ³¹ That, as it is written: He that glorieth may glory in the Lord.

⁷ For who distinguisheth thee? Or what hast thou that thou hast not received, and if thou hast received, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

¹⁶ But knowing that man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, we also believe in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by the faith of Christ and not by the works of the law: because by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

²² But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise, by the faith of Jesus Christ, might be given to them that believe.

⁸ For by grace you are saved through faith: and that not of yourselves, for it is the gift of God. ⁹ Not of works, that no man may glory. ¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus in good works, which God hath prepared that we should walk in them.

¹¹ And this is the testimony that God hath given to us eternal life. And this life is in his Son. ¹² He that hath the Son hath life. He that hath not the Son hath not life.
