⁴ And I heard the number of them that were signed. An hundred forty-four thousand were signed, of every tribe of the children of Israel.

⁵ And he brought him forth abroad, and said to him: Look up to heaven and number the stars if thou canst. And he said to him: So shall thy seed be.

¹³ Thus saith the Lord God: This is the border, by which you shall possess the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: for Joseph hath a double portion.
