²⁷ Prepare thy work without, and diligently till thy ground: that afterward thou mayst build thy house.

¹⁷ And the king commanded that they should bring great stones, costly stones, for the foundation of the temple, and should square them: ¹⁸ And the masons of Solomon, and the masons of Hiram, hewed them: and the Giblians prepared timber and stones to build the house.

⁷ And the house, when it was in building, was built of stones, hewed and made ready: so that there was neither hammer nor axe, nor any tool of iron heard in the house when it was in building.
