²³ These things also to the wise: It is not good to have respect to persons in judgment.

¹⁵ Thou shalt not do that which is unjust, nor judge unjustly. Respect not the person of the poor: nor honour the countenance of the mighty. But judge thy neighbour according to justice.

¹⁷ There shall be no difference of persons, you shall hear the little as well as the great: neither shall you respect any man's person, because it is the judgment of God. And if any thing seem hard to you, refer it to me, and I will hear it.

¹⁹ And not go aside to either part. Thou shalt not accept person nor gifts: for gifts blind the eyes of the wise, and change the words of the just.

⁷ Let the fear of the Lord be with you, and do all things with diligence: for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor desire of gifts.

² How long will you judge unjustly: and accept the persons of the wicked? ³ Judge for the needy and fatherless: do justice to the humble and the poor. ⁴ Rescue the poor; and deliver the needy out of the hand of the sinner.

⁴³ Who is wise, and will keep these things; and will understand the mercies of the Lord?

⁶ He shall understand a parable and the interpretation, the words of the wise, and their mysterious sayings.

⁵ It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to decline from the truth of judgment.

¹⁷ Incline thy ear, and hear the words of the wise: and apply thy heart to my doctrine:

²¹ He that hath respect to a person in judgment, doth not well: such a man even for a morsel of bread forsaketh the truth.

¹ The wisdom of a man shineth in his countenance, and the most mighty will change his face. ² I observe the mouth of the king, and the commandments of the oath of God. ³ Be not hasty to depart from his face, and do not continue in an evil work: for he will do all that pleaseth him: ⁴ And his word is full of power: neither can any man say to him: Why dost thou so? ⁵ He that keepeth the commandment, shall find no evil. The heart of a wiser man understandeth time and answer.

²⁴ Judge not according to the appearance: but judge just judgment.

²⁰ Them that sin reprove before all that the rest also may have fear. ²¹ I charge thee, before God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by declining to either side.

⁴ Do you not judge within yourselves, and are become judges of unjust thoughts? ⁵ Hearken, my dearest brethren: Hath not God chosen the poor in this world, rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which God hath promised to them that love him? ⁶ But you have dishonoured the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you by might? And do not they draw you before the judgment seats?

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above, first indeed is chaste, then peaceable, modest, easy to be persuaded, consenting to the good, full of mercy and good fruits, without judging, without dissimulation.

¹⁷ And if you invoke as Father him who, without respect of persons, judgeth according to every one's work: converse in fear during the time of your sojourning here.
