¹⁹ Out of Jacob shall he come that shall rule, and shall destroy the remains of the city.

¹⁰ The sceptre shall not be taken away from Juda, nor a ruler from his thigh, till he come that is to be sent, and he shall be the expectation of nations.

¹ Why have the Gentiles raged, and the people devised vain things? ² The kings of the earth stood up, and the princes met together, against the Lord, and against his Christ. ³ Let us break their bonds asunder: and let us cast away their yoke from us. ⁴ He that dwelleth in heaven shall laugh at them: and the Lord shall deride them. ⁵ Then shall he speak to them in his anger, and trouble them in his rage. ⁶ But I am appointed king by him over Sion, his holy mountain, preaching his commandment. ⁷ The Lord hath said to me: Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee. ⁸ Ask of me, and I will give thee the Gentiles for thy inheritance, and the utmost parts of the earth for thy possession. ⁹ Thou shalt rule them with a rod of iron, and shalt break them in pieces like a potter's vessel. ¹⁰ And now, O ye kings, understand: receive instruction, you that judge the earth. ¹¹ Serve ye the Lord with fear: and rejoice unto him with trembling. ¹² Embrace discipline, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you perish from the just way. ^(2:13) When his wrath shall be kindled in a short time, blessed are all they that trust in him.

¹⁰ The kings of Tharsis and the islands shall offer presents: the kings of the Arabians and of Saba shall bring gifts: ¹¹ And all kings of the earth shall adore him: all nations shall serve him.

¹⁰ In that day the root of Jesse, who standeth for an ensign of the people, him the Gentiles shall beseech, and his sepulchre shall be glorious.

² And thou Bethlehem Ephrata, art a little one among the thousands of Juda, out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be the ruler in Israel: and his going forth is from the beginning, from the days of eternity.

⁴ And he shall stand, and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the height of the name of the Lord, his God: and they shall be converted, for now shall he be magnified even to the ends of the earth.

⁴⁶ And these shall go into everlasting punishment: but the just, into life everlasting.

¹⁸ And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.

¹² He said therefore: a certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom and to return.

²⁷ But as for those my enemies, who would not have me reign over them, bring them hither and kill them before me.

²⁵ For he must reign, until he hath put all his enemies under his feet.

²⁰ Which he wrought in Christ, raising him up from the dead and setting him on his right hand in the heavenly places. ²¹ Above all principality and power and virtue and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. ²² And he hath subjected all things under his feet and hath made him head over all the church,

¹⁰ That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth, and under the earth: ¹¹ And that every tongue should confess that the Lord Jesus Christ is in the glory of God the Father.

⁸ But to the Son: Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of justice is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

²² Who is on the right hand of God, swallowing down death that we might be made heirs of life everlasting: being gone into heaven, the angels and powers and virtues being made subject to him.

¹⁶ And he hath on his garment and on his thigh written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
