²⁷ For as lightning cometh out of the east and appeareth even into the west: so shall also the cowling of the Son of man be.

³ He beholdeth under all the heavens, and his light is upon the ends of the earth.

⁸ Be you therefore also patient and strengthen your hearts: for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

⁴ Saying: Where is his promise or his coming? For since the time that the fathers slept, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
