⁵ And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed with a white robe: and they were astonished.

¹⁷ And he came, and stood near where I stood: and when he was come, I fell on my face, trembling, and he said to me: Understand, O son of man, for in the time of the end the vision shall be fulfilled.

⁵ And I lifted up my eyes, and I saw: and behold a man clothed in linen, and his loins were girded with the finest gold: ⁶ And his body was like the chrysolite, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as a burning lamp: and his arms, and all downward even to the feet, like in appearance to glittering brass: and the voice of his word like the voice of a multitude. ⁷ And I, Daniel alone, saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw it not: but an exceeding great terror fell upon them, and they fled away, and hid themselves. ⁸ And I, being left alone, saw this great vision: and there remained no strength in me, and the appearance of my countenance was changed in me, and I fainted away, and retained no strength. ⁹ And I heard the voice of his words: and when I heard I lay in a consternation upon my face, and my face was close to the ground.

¹² And he said to me: Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thy heart to understand, to afflict thyself in the sight of thy God, thy words have been heard: and I am come for thy words.

³ And his countenance was as lightning and his raiment as snow.

⁴⁹ But they seeing him walking upon the sea, thought it was an apparition, and they cried out. ⁵⁰ For they all saw him, and were troubled bled. And immediately he spoke with them, and said to them: Have a good heart, it is I, fear ye not.

¹² And Zachary seeing him, was troubled: and fear fell upon him.

²⁹ Who having heard, was troubled at his saying and thought with herself what manner of salutation this should be. ³⁰ And the angel said to her: Fear not, Mary, for thou hast found grace with God.

³ And going in, they found not the body of the Lord Jesus. ⁴ And it came to pass, as they were astonished in their mind at this, behold, two men stood by them, in shining apparel. ⁵ And as they were afraid and bowed down their countenance towards the ground, they said unto them: Why seek you the living with the dead?

⁸ Then that other disciple also went in, who came first to the sepulchre: and he saw and believed.

¹¹ But Mary stood at the sepulchre without, weeping. Now as she was weeping, she stooped down and looked into the sepulchre, ¹² And she saw two angels in white, sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been laid.
